What more can I say other than "dude I like your videos" . Straightforward & no nonsense.
That means a lot to me man. Thanks for watching and supporting!
I picked one up about 3 weeks ago but haven’t had much time to play with it...but it’s pretty good so far. I spooled mine up with 15lb flouro and use it primarily for worms and jigs. Castability is good so far. Also, it doesn’t feel like a cheaper reel when you’re using it...that was a plus for me. Thanks for your insights Debo!
Yeah, I'm digging it too man! Thanks for watching 👊
One important detail choosing any reel is the factory warranty and the store policy on returns. Another point to consider is getting replacement parts if you happen to lose or break something. If you disassemble and clean your reels thoroughly one little spring or screw can go missing; and that can happen to anyone no matter how careful you are. Just because a reel has a low price doesn’t mean it will not last a long time if properly maintained. The cool thing is today there is a ton of aftermarket parts and accessories to make low cost reels perform equal or better than higher price reels. There is a real difference between using heavy rods and reels and light ones. You don’t need tractor fishing open water, but you do need one for fishing muck, weeds and wood.
Glad you agree, Gizmo. Maintaining a reel is so important to longevity. Agreed, just because it's graphite does NOT mean it's bad. Some things it will work fine for, other things I'll leave to an aluminum framed reel. 👊
Lew's is fantastic with shipping replacement parts and customer service. YMMV with other manufacturers though.
I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.
I’ve had my Laser MG for 3yrs now(wife got it for me on Christmas) and LOVE IT. Recently acquired a Jason Christi Speed Speed and it does go but now for this Christmas I got a Shimano Caius combo and it’s freaking awesome BUT!...still in love with my Laser MG. Lew’sLife
Nice! Yeah, they make some good stuff. I haven't used the caius but it looks like a good reel.
Tried it out with a frog and it casts nice. I have to get use to the centrifugal brakes. It’s one sale for $69 on Academy’s website. The combo.
Yep, have to do a head to head field test , with gears in similar price range .
I can do that! Thanks for always supporting my channel man 👊
Awesome just job bud. I've been abusing mine as hard as I can and can't seem to break it. The only thing I've found is it wants to just let loose sometimes when I'm casting. Almost like the magnets give out. Other wise amazing reel.
Greatly appreciate the support, Alex! Yes, mine has been solid so far. It does seem like I have to have the brakes and tension up a bit more than normal. Once it got it dialed in, no issues. Happy Thanksgiving man!
Ayy Alex!
I'm liking my Lew's Classic Pro. At a price I can actually afford and it fits nice in my hands when casting. So far no issues.
Yessir. It feels great in hand. Excited to test it more next year.
I have a LFS, 5.6:1, and an American Hero, 7.1:1. Both are good reels and I've had no problems with either one. The AH is the first baitcaster that I ever used. I have had it for about 10 months. After watching many videos and trial and error I have it dialed in pretty good. I have had the LFS for about 4 months, got it dialed in and love it.
Nice! I love my LFS. Old and beat up but still kicking!
I have about everything except a Lew's. For the price point, it looks like a quality reel. Really appreciate your opinions on tackle!
So far it has felt good. I really like their reels. Thanks for watching man 👊
Debo, I would love a review on the Lews Mach Cruch. The new orange reel looks awesome. I got a new 100$ combo. The 13 fishing origin SE. You should also review that. Great reel for 100$ But still nothing to compare to the SLX. By the way, your the one who convinced me on getting the SLX. Love your videos.
BTW, great review dude.
I'm definitely going to review the crush! The SLX has been a solid reel for me man! Glad your liking yours too!
Great review. Maybe a little about the magnetic switch settings. I just started using this reel but I don’t know how to use it properly. Thanks!
I’m liking mine so far. Mine is going to be my frog reel. I want to test the durability. I do wish they made it in other ratios too.
Nice! Keep me updated on how it holds up to the thick froggin applications!
Always enjoy and learn something new every time I watch your videos. Got new reels to add to my holiday list 😉
Glad to hear that my videos can help! Thanks for watching 👊
I've never used Lew's. All of my reels have been Abu Garcia since 1987. I have two 5500 C3's that have been running strong since the early 90's. My brother convinced me to buy a cheep black max and it is one of the longest casting reels I have ever used. I am about to buy two Shimano DC reels.
Yeah, abu makes some good stuff too. I've heard a lot about the curados but haven't used any of the new models.
I had to go back & watch this one again. I got this reel for the same cost, and based my decision on this video. I still have the original BB1 from the 80s. Just retired it last year when I bought this one. That's another story too. I actually looked for a 7+ speed ratio for top water fishing. It helps when you want to turn the fish or pull them away from the group. I really love mine it's great with worms, spinnerbait, rattletrap, flukes and any application I use. I do have to adjust to that 30" retrieve but it's not bad at all. The solid function of the reel is perfect. It's been my favorite set-up to grab when I need a positive response equipment. I love my Daiwas. They are just my own choice & have been since the 70s. I will be getting an aluminum frame one this spring. Thank you for sharing this video. All the ones you mentioned that you compared it to were the ones I chose as well. Last day at work today and then it's 3 days off and nothing but rain coming. Perfect time to re- line a couple of reels with new line. Have a Happy New Year & see ya in 2021!👊👊
One other thing...... when you dial it in & you find that "sweet spot", best casting reel I've ever worked with. Lew's really is one of the best out there. I've never had a issue with the ones I've owned. Now I'll shut up
Just bought my first lews fls at sportmans warehouse, abu revo x is what ive been using and its a decent 99 reel,. The Lews seems easier to dial in and its very smooth, if it last more than 5 yrs will stick with that brand over abu, Lews has better deals under 200 than any other company, name means nothing, every company makes junk even shimano, have alot heavier line on the revo and its a 6:6-1, got the lews in 7:5-1, i like them both...
I have a Lew’s Tournament MB and that thing is such good quality. I went to do a tear down and had to stop besides a drop of oil. Literally was factory clean inside after a full year (in Cali so year round use). I really can’t think of anything to complain about. I’ve used it in rain, gotten sand on it, and dipped it in the lake a couple of times while on my kayak. I’d bet it would be good in salt water too.
That is insane
That's awesome to hear. I've been looking at the MP, believe it replaced the MB.
I really appreciate this video. I bought Abu Garcia for my first baitcaster it was black and it didn't work out so well I couldn't get the magnets in order so I step my game up and got me a lew's and it was very smooth I do want to buy a higher brand of lew's so I can get the good and great field of a baitcaster but they work out very well. Only thing I really haven't got used to it is making sure I put the right amount line on the spool. But again thank you very much for this video it helps very much and please keep up the good work thank you
You're welcome man and thanks for watching 👊👊👊
Great info brother! Important too cuz its good to know what products on a lower price range you can trust. 👍🏻🤘🏻
Completely agree man. I use an array of stuff in all price ranges. Happy to share my thoughts on what works. Hope you're doing well brother 👊
Great video. I’m extremely late. Just bought and it says 12/110 what other mono size would be fine on this reel
Great viDebo brother! Thanks for the honest opinion on the Classic Pro. I have really been thinking about that reel and this will definitely help me make up my mind. Keep up the great work brother, and tight lines if you get to fish any!
Thanks man, hope the review helps you out 👊👊👊
Ok, I’ve never purchased anything due to someone else’s review.... but!! I ordered 2 of these today in hopes that you and I agree on a good reel 😁😁 thanks for the videos man... I can appreciate the time you take to make them. I’ll report back with my verdicts
Cool man, hope you like them. Keep me updated, it has been a good reel for me.
Yes I will have them Wednesday-so after a few days of besting then up I’ll let ya know.
Hey bud, I will try to make this very short, I purchased this one and the cc80, essentially they’re the same Reels... classic is smoother (for some reason) but the one biggest deal breaker, which you did mention was the placement of the lower screw in the CC.. it is right where the tip of my finger sits and is Super irritating to the tip of that one finger.. the classic? Casts just as far as my 550$ steez reel (not as smooth) of course.. But Deff worth 59$ only down side, again like you stated with the classic was 1 gear ratio.
Thanks again for the review 👍👍
Super helpful video! I am in the market for a new baitcaster reel and this has helped me narrow my search. Thank you for the reviews!
Awesome, glad it helped man. Thanks for watching 👊
Since starting a collection of modern bait casters, I found that I like my Lews Mach II and Custom XP reel the best. Previously using cheaper abu reels, I just found for the money the mid-range lews reels can't be beat. So I feel I need to try a classic pro and see how that is.
I've found that their $100 reel is one of the best. They make good baitcasters in my opinion. Thanks for watching man 👊
Nice reel. I love the Bps PQ2’s as I have 3 of them and they are usually a good bang for your buck as you can usually get them on sale and are just really good reels. Great video as always I have been waiting for a new video to watch. I go back and watch a lot of your older ones as well.
Yep, I was thinking of doing a head to head between the PQ2 and this reel. It has been a solid little reel as well. Thank you very much for watching my older stuff too. All the support really helps!
Thinking about getting the Orange Mach set up , just don’t have a lot of money. What do you think 🤔???
Thank you very much for the review on the Classic Pro. I've been waiting for a review before I go out and purchase one. I have a LFS and a MB tournament. Love them both, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the Classic Pro.
The LFS is a solid reel. Mine is still kicking after 4 seasons!
I like the way you compare reel to other reels when you review them. Good review.
Cool, I hope the comparison helps folks. Thanks for watching 👊
I just picked up the LEWS American Hero combo. This is my first baitcaster setup. So, how do you set up the reel to not get a birds nest? I casted it twice and put it back in the car. Also, what line do you recommend?
I decided on the Daiwa CC80 baitcaster. Most of my purchases weigh heavy on the construction, warranty and return policies from where I purchase it from. I did all my homework and I decided to keep it Daiwa since I have tons of experience on their products. They do stand behind what they make. And I love how smooth they are. No unnecessary sounds of grinding, knocking, or clicking for some unknown reason. Lew's is a brand I love as well, but I can't see spending $60 when I can get one in better condition and with no worries of malfunction that can't be repaired fast enough to fish it again before the season ends. This is just my opinion & my choice. Lew's is a great product and the company is proud of it. The price is proof of their beliefs. Daiwa has been a choice since I got my first one in the mid 70s.
I have the CG 80 and it has been a solid reel. I didn't want to like it (because I love the fuego) but it held up.
Fuego is a killer reel. If I had my choice like I used to have it would be Steez all the way!! The Steez SV is a wicked piece of reel. I guess I can dream
What would be the best reel for walleye fishing? I know that the gear ratio doesn’t really matter for it because you aren’t really throwing different baits. Usually we just throw on a 1-2 ounce weight with a nightcrawler trolling.
I've always used spinning reels for that. Really any of them would work. I'd go with an aluminum frame though.
Solid review bud. I was thinking of trying one of those for cranks or spinner baits, but would definitely prefer a 6 speed..
Hey! Thank you man. Yep, I know that 6 speed is a do-it-all speed for a lot of folks. We need to get on a reel sharing program 🤣👊
What's your thoughts on the Abu Garcia black max reel for a beginner?? Wifes getting one for Christmas and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
I only used one for a little bit. I used the promax for some time. It was a solid reel just a tiny frame. I know a lot of people consider the black max the best budget reel!
@@DEBOSFishing Sweet, thanks for the feedback much appreciated!
Really helpful video.. and thanks for getting back to me about your boat size. I also started using rod covers that have the bungie on it like you had recommended so it loops on handle anyway I noticed when you roll them back up for storage the bungie also wraps around keeps them in a nice little circles
Yes, you're welcome man. Yeah, the bungee on them is awesome!
Great review . I like that your not out there using the $300 reels and use gear that is for the average angler . Makes you very relatable . I found sticking in that $100-$150 range there are a ton of great quality reels . The LFS and SLX make up about 20 of my 30 conbos I use . For that 100 price point they are very well made and get the job done and feel like a nice piece of equipment . I guess you put it best it provides a good experience while out on the water . Hope all is well and keep up the great work .Looking forward to some more vids with you TJ81 and vass geek . Anyone who has not checked out theor channel please do . If you like Debo I think you will enjoy their content as well !!
Yeah, that $100 price point is where stuff changes. I use stuff at all price ranges. It's interesting to see what changes as prices change. More of that to come soon! 👊👊👊
Love your reviews; concise and honest. More comparisons!
Thanks man, that means a lot to me. I've got a lot more reviews coming!
Debo, thank you for the review. I’ve been thinking of getting another rod and reel and this helped clarify some questions I was having on that reel
You're certainly welcome man. Thanks for watching 👊
Nice video good information I like Lew's I have used a bunch of the spinning reels I'm just now getting into bait casters so thanks for the input
You're welcome man! Let me know how you like it if you get one!
Great video. I enjoy watching and listening to your comments. I just bought my first Lews rod and reel combo for $60 at Wal-Mart. It's an IM6 rod with a Speed Spool, 6.4:1 gear ratio, CSS1H model. Was this a good purchase?
Thanks for the review. I was an avid bass fisherman in my youth through but not so much in the past 20 years (I’m 41). I have a few ugly sticks and some zebco 33’s, just switched one of those 33’s out for this classic pro. It will be my main and only bait caster for awhile.
Hey Debo's! What is the most exspensive Baitcaster reel's you have. Beside brass gears and Aluminium casing. Is it really worth the money to move up. I have a Quantum ACCURIST PT S3 baitcaster reel that is $99.00. The Quantum Pulse is $. 38.00 plastic casing. The Pulse is a very good reel for the money. I see you like Lew's. What reel and how high up the Lew's baitcaster line have you gone? Just a thought. I value your opinions on reel's rod's, lures and technology of bass fishing. Shawn.
Great info especially on the difference in Graphite vs aluminum
Thank you brother. Hope that info helps folks out 👊
Just picked this reel up tonight. Haven't gotten it on the water yet, but did set it up, and do some practice casting with it in the yard to familiarize myself with it. It is definitely a step up from my Shakespeare Agility baitcaster. I did find the settings a little more finicky than my Agility. Had to do a but more balancing between the spool tension, and braking system to get fluffing under control, but once I got it dialed in, I really seemed to like it. It is definitely very comfortable, and I was looking for a 7.5:1 ratio, so that was a perfect fit for me. Love tdd he review man. Can't wait to get it out on the water, and really put it to the test.
I am new to baitcasters, do you think that this would be a good first baitcaster to learn on?
For a novice looking to get back into fishing would you recommend the Lews Classic Pro or the Kastking Royale Legend? Very similar spec'd reels, close in price.
@Mike Robber I ended up going with the Lews mach 2 combo. Very happy with it.
I've been waiting for your video whole week.
That's awesome brother. Thanks for supporting my channel 👊
I don't mind if it's good stuff. Keep it up.
Thanks for the great review Debo! Is that a Shimano Sellus you have paired with it in that fishing footage? If so, what are your thoughts on that rod? I’ve been looking at it for a gift to try to get my dad into bass fishing. And maybe one for myself also... haha.
Dooope. I have one Lew’s baitcaster; carbon fire. Personally, I felt it a little too small in my palms but it was my first one, I learned how to use a baitcaster with that one, and it never gave out. Would you be able to do a head-to-head between the two?
Nice! Yep, the smaller profile is something that some people don't like. I don't have that baitcaster. I'll keep an eye out but they look very similar.
I have not used it but i will definitely consider it now i have looked at it and thought of buying it but never pulled the trigger on it
Cool. If you do, let me know how you like it!
New sub! Thanks for the review! Lew's are my favorite reels, and it's nice to know there is a solid budget option in the event I find myself in a bind somewhere. How do you think it compares to the Carbon Fire?
Thank you, appreciate your support! I haven't used the carbon fire reel yet. Seems like it would be similar with a few upgrades from what I remember.
Hey Debo, what are your thoughts on the Lews Mach Smash? I love the Mach Crush it has performed and held up well so far. I was thinking about adding the Smash combo.
The crush has been great. The smash doesn't seem to have much of a difference compared to this reel. I think it will still be good, however, I don't know why it's $40 than this?
Great video as always. Do you know when the smash will be available?
Thanks man. Tackle Warehouse has it for sale now.
You may remember that you helped me decide to go with the LFS and I love it! But I have a chance to pick up at few Classic Pro's for $28 a pop!!! Any reason to stay away? Crank baits and spinner baits???
Would 20lb flouro be ok on this? Would it hold enough on it?
Witch one you thinks better this reel or the daiwa cc80. Around same price???
Debo! Great review! I have never used Lew's stuff but it does look decent. Have you seen the huge discounts on KastKing stuff this week? Thinking about picking up another Royale Legend, bought one for my dad this year and he really likes it. Have you tried their braid or mono? It's on sale too and it is so inexpensive.
where are the discounts?
Yes where are these discounts??
Lew's makes some good stuff man! Tons of good options for a lot of reels with the black Friday deals on tackle Warehouse.
They were there for 2 days, the Royale legend got down to 50$, the speed demon pro were down to 87!
On Amazon, btw. Maybe a prime thing only?
Good video Debo really enjoyed it Lew's is bullet proof keep up the good video's 👍
Thanks man, appreciate you watching. I'm liking this reel a lot so far!
Hey Debo, what is that blue rod you had the reel on? Was looking at a reel for my 11 year old son for Christmas. I have a Tatula 100 I got for about $100 that's still sitting in the box that I was going to give him since it's smaller but trying to find a reason to keep it for myself! Was hoping this would fit the bill but I already have an American Hero that I passed down to him. Thanks for another informative vid!
The blue rod is the Shimano sellus. It's a $50 rod but feels good so far!
@@DEBOSFishing That's what I thought it was. Seems to be decent for the price.
Tough for me to comment since I started with no baitcaster this year and now I own seven. 5 Kastking and 2 shimano. I think overall people are opting for a decent quality reel that won’t break the bank. I appreciate your honest reviews, might have to venture out and add it to my rapidly growing collection! Snow this weekend for us here in CT! 😢
I hear ya man. Seems like a lot of the companies have put more emphasis on the budget reels which is AWESOME! Yep, snow sucks...we got some coming too 🥶🙁
Another great video. Really like your review videos. Get great info.
Thank you man, appreciate you watching 👊
Hey DEBO do you have a review video on the BPS Pro Qualifier 2 reel?? if not could you make one?? Great videos btw!
I don't but that one is coming soon man! Thanks for watching 👊
I like the tension knob and drag star to click but it's not a deal breaker, I'm looking at getting the Smash next but no one can tell me if the knob clicks
Yeah, that's a good question. I haven't touched one so I don't know about that tension knob on the smash?
UPDATE: the knobs on the smash dont click but overall it's a really good combo, I finally got one now that Academy has a bunch in stock
I think you sold me on this. I am new to bait casting and am looking for my first reel and rod. Any thoughts on a rod . Thanks newbie 😀
Love Lew's and Abu Garcia for baitcasters. My Lew's Custom SP is my favorite reel hands down.
Yeah, they make some good stuff. Thanks for watching man 👊
Once again another very informative video. I currently have 2 lew's reels. 1 is mach2 and a carbon fire which I have yet to use. Also have a Abu Garcia which I like as well. Just haven't gotten good enough to break the bank and buy a reel expensive one. Great work always enjoy watching and learning.
Thank you man, greatly appreciate that. Keep putting time in on them and you'll be comfortable in no time!
@HOBO R3D I don't know probably a little water logged. I snagged it with A-rig about 2 yrs ago and threw it in the water. While I had it, it was good. Never had any problems out of it.
Would you recommend this or a kastking?
Would you recommend the lews mach 1? Thanks.
The Quantum ACCURIST PT S3 baitcaster reel is the best $100.00. No one ever talks about Quantum. I would put this reel up Againest any other $100.00 baitcaster reel on the market. Pound for Pound. Dollar for Dollar. Just a very good reel. Shawn
I pick up a classic rod and I'm glad to hear that it's a good rod for the price. Thanks for your review.
Is it good for saltwater and using it for like swimbaits small ones though like gulp mullet on a 1/4 to 1/2 oz jig?
I like the click. Even at night you can make precise adjustments.
looks like a good reel for the bass guys.. I use an old lews cheapie for throwing big cranks in the salt, and it has held up for a number of years, though I don't use it often, it is demanding work.. it was cheaper than 59$ for the whole combo on clearance for damn sure.. lol
Yeah, salt is very tough on gear!
Haven't noticed any kastking reels on here lately... Do you not use them anymore?
I've been trying all different companies now. Thanks for watching!
Just bought 3 of these because Academy Sports didn’t have the Abu Garcia ProMax in stock. I was worried about these reels.. now I’m not so worried.
I also got a Lew’s XFinity. Not so worried about that purchase either.
Thanks Feeshin Friend
Thanks for the review. Based on it I just ordered one! Paired it with a Daiwa Aird X. I will definitely let you know what I think.
Cool, let me know what you think of the combo!
I have a few Lew's from Mach II to the Lew's Tournament MB , Tournament Pro Speed, crank rod set up and on n on, but I need a set up I can keep in my work truck for everyday se and not have to worry about getting ruined and be so upset bout how much i payed for it and its also a LEWS , sweet deal.So I will be getting this and a decent rod from walmart for lunch break fishing thanks for the review brother as always great video
You're welcome man. Hope you like it, has been good for me so far. Have a good weekend!
Great Video Debo. I was really thinking about picking one of these up but bow after seeing it and you talk about. Might be worth it and save extra 40 bucks and pick up one of the $100 price point reels. This one kind of reminds me of the Walmart Xfinity reels you find on the Combos found in the stores. Also think if you play your cards right with the holidays you be able to find some of the $100 reels on sale and could be able to get more in different gear ratios.
Just get by the shimano slx. It’s too clean and @ $97 on amazon right now.
Yeah, the black Friday sales are a great time to get good deals on mid priced reels.
Late comment here, but I'm looking for a nice price baitcaster for perch. How is this one compared to the Abu Garcia black max or pro max reels?
Thank you for this review my dude was looking into another reel
You're welcome man, hope the info helps!
Love my classic pro ! Had it since it came out and it’s the best 60 dollars I spent on a baitcaster lol. For that price it’s hard to beat.
Nice, I'm glad to hear that feedback. I'm excited to keep testing it...AFTER this frozen winter stuff 🙁
DEBO'S Fishing dang man that’s sucks lol, I live in Cali and the lakes never freeze over here so we can fish open water all year long, you’ll be out on the water soon !
I'm interested in upgrading my rigs . I'm looking at kaskkings and lews. Witch would you recommend.
Lews
What type of reel and what price range?
This is cool what made u decide to start using left handed baitcaster s
My buddy uses lefty. I tried some and I like them!
Because we cast like normal people. The majority of you are just messed up 🤣
I used to fish right being right handed till I tried left. All I own now.
i still dont understand why most right handed peeps like to use right hand reels
is just more work switching hand every cast and feels weird..
im right handed myself and left hand reels are so much better
@@OutdoorsWonder i completely agree. I catch with left but throw with my dominent hand. If i used this logic for baitcasters it would be like throwing with my left hand aka. george bushes first throw to home plate 🤣
Great review Debo! Keep up the great tips and advice! 👍
Always appreciate your support brother. Thanks for always watching and commenting 👊
@@DEBOSFishing you da man Debo! 👍🙂
Awesome review👍👍👍 That's a reel I could pick up that's in my price range and wife wont fuss to much.
What brand knob covers you using on your reels ? Thaks
Great review, thank for all the good work you do brother
The thanks goes all to folks like you who watch 👊👊👊
Can't wait to see the grip upgrade video.
I'll be doing that one soon man!
Another great video! Appreciate the comparisons, as I've wondered about quality and longevity of these newer graphite reels. There are so many of them now and so similar too, I guess if you know what you're doing and what you're using it for it could last, but I'm still a firm believer in the aluminum reels more. The biggest gripe to me is the popularity of the cosmetically "cute" graphite reels and their flashy colors, when in comparison to say the Lew's mb or the newer version the mp LFS, they're the same price within $10-20... My $$$ will be on the aluminum framed ones! Good feeshin to you Debo!
Completely agree man. I like functionality over cosmetics too. Thanks for watching and supporting 👊
Good video like always, so pretty much what your saying is get an lfs for $30 dollars more since the lews smash is the same as the classic pro!?? 🤔 also can you do a review on that shimano sellus rod please!
Looked at it myself. I like it but I have found others that rate the same with me. I'm looking at Kasking right now and I'm still searching. I will tell you when I find what I'm looking for. Got to have a good drag system. Since I'm retiring a Lew's 13 fishing has my attention.....I DON'T KNOW!🤯 It's hard to seriously compare when it's so close to Black Friday deals. This year I am going to since money is an issue. Too many good choice reels are out this year.
Tons of good reels for sale on sale for black Friday!
I've decided to go with the Daiwa CC80 baitcaster. Just felt like staying with Daiwa. I have a Abu Garcia but my 2 favorite brands are Daiwa and Shimano. Prices have gone sky high so I'll have to save up for a couple
Did u see the lews Xps speed spool bass pro had on sale last week for 69$ down from 120$??? Freakin hell of deal i nabbed it and a abu vendetta rod for 70.. u cant go wrong with lews. I got the jason christy speed spool for 60 its a sweet ass reel for 60
Nice! That should be a solid setup man!
Banger... question man how has the concept a been holding up and you should try the a3
I have the concept a and it’s one of my favorite reels. it’s held up extremely well for a year of fishing and i’ve been using it for my bigger swimbaits with no issue. i’ll be upgrading to the a3 this year when I buy a dedicated swimbait rod that can handle 3+ ounces.
It has held up great so far. Casts well and is very comfortable!
Debo what do you think about the abura Garcia baitcasters reels like the revo
I have the revo x and SX. Both have been good reels. Not the most refined but they have held up well thus far.
I've got an American Hero combo and I love it. I would probably stick with the AH just because I'm a veteran, but the classic pro seems right on par with the new gen AH. But yeah, I would LOVE a speed spool LFS!!
Yessir, that seems like a mirror image of this reel. The LFS is a great reel!
@@DEBOSFishing That's my goal with gear, is to build my own combo with a LFS Speed Spool. Dont know what rod yet and when I'm going to have the money to devote to gear, but I will!!!!
AH great rod and reel but mine started to fail on the drag but than worked again idk what’s wrong with it but it’s been good for me
Nice comparisons. How about some of the Piscifun reels? Can you do a video p n their products? They have some sweet products for the prices.
Love the vids. Could you tell me what to look up to get those grips if you had time
Thanks man. Just look up WINN reel handle grips on Amazon. I'll do a review on them soon!
DEBO'S Fishing thanks so much 👍
Awesome review. I was given a used Lews speed spool awhile back but haven't had a chance use it yet.
Nice! Get that baby out and catch some chunks...or dinks...whatever will bite 🤣👊
DEBO'S Fishing just picked up a 13 fishing Concept Z. Can never have enough reels I guess.
@@msolorz1 I saw they were 50% off on Amazon! I though about it but didn't pull the trigger. I have the SZ and it has held up well so far.
I've got several of the American hero reels and the LfS reels also never had any problems going to look at this reel definitely
That's good to hear. Yes, my old LFS has been a worker!
Have you ever used/reviewed Lew’s Tournament MB? Thoughts (or link) if so?
I haven't used the old MB. I've heard it's a great reel. I think they are replacing it with the new Lew's Tournament MP. I've been looking at that one.
DEBO'S Fishing Ok - Thanks for replying 👍
