- It's time for the annual Steam Whistles video.
Sit back and enjoy British steam whistles captured over the past 12 months, with some archive thrown in.
It's been mainly Bulleids we've encountered last year, but being as they're our favourite type of locomotives, we've enjoyed capturing their unique middle 'C' whistle. I'm sure plenty of yourselves love them too.

Thank for making this! There is just something about any steam whistle that just makes you smile and feel happy! I’m also a Bulleid Pacific fan, but then again I love all whistles. Cheers mate!
British Railways 34092 "City of Wells", Southern Railways 34027 "Taw Valley", and the A4 Pacific class in general are my favorite British steam locomotives.

oh my goodness, true.
Your video brought me back to the forties, when the black monsters of the Buenos Aires and Pacific Railway trundled past my home town of Junin, Bs. Aires, Argentina enveloped in steam and heading for the far off Andes . It was great in Winter time, safely in bed to listen to the whistle of the crack express "El Internacional", speeding by around midnight to Chile...Many thanks for what you triggered !

Union of South Africa’s whistle makes my brain just go “ oooooooooooo that’s nice”. It’s just one of those sounds that is just sooooooooooooo satisfying to me and i can’t for the life of me figure out why. Maybe it’s the tuning of the whistle, but for now I just have no idea.

At 4:59 it sounds like the two Bulied Pacific’s are yelling out for the diesels to get off them
The whistle is called a bell whistle and it has a bell on top of the whistle and the whistle gives a tone suited to the size of the bell
City of wells and 30541 are the magnificent locos with the whistle
Lyr pug no. 51241 is a really nice one. Hooter whistles are always some of the best.

Yea mine too, not by whistle, but bc it's sooooo tiny, it's a mini engine. My favorite whistle is the A4 right after this.
