Other than Marlboro, I would say Agip. Classic F1 sponsor for sure and was plastered all over tracks back in the day, on top of some beautiful Ferraris
Speaking of only meeting fellow F1 fans at the track and expensive tickets: I remember going to one of the races at Indianapolis and meeting a guy from the UK who lived about an hour away from Silverstone and he said it was cheaper to fly to Indy and see the USGP than to go to his home race.!
Agreed, I wana share my example. I live in Sydney & basically to fly to Melbourne, stay in the cheapest budget hotel & have average seats at the track costs around $ 3,000 per person in total. So instead 3 years in a row we went to watch the F1 at Sepang Circuit Malaysia, return direct airfares were $ 700., we stayed in 5 star hotels with an average cost of $100. per night & premium seat ticket for the 3 days at the track was $ 400. So basically it worked out at $ 1,500. exactly half the price to go and watch an F1 race in Malaysia (in style) Vs watching it in my own country (on a budget)

All they know is “Max good, Lewis bad”. But the new fans that actually show interest in the sport are great, and it’s cool that it’s getting more popular.
F1 don't sell the tickets for the races so don't need to hand out refunds... Spa has that luxury... But they have to pay millions too host the race whether a race is shown or not so... Doing one for half price is difficult for them if F1 don't give them some leeway... And we want Spa to exist so... Yeh it's F1s fault, they don't have to help so they don't.
@Scom Tott Ferrari makes plenty of money from selling cars, and F1 is central in their branding. They're not going anywhere even without the long standing team bonus. Even if Ferrari left, it's not like every Ferrari fan will just immediately stop watching...
Yeah they do, it's in the new Concorde Agreement. It's been reduced from $70m to $35m, but it's still there. Note that this doesn't mean they can spend over the budget cap, just that they need to get less money from sponsors or the wider Ferrari group.
The funniest thing about Ferrari is that with their bonus and of course other revenue they probably don't even invest a single penny in their team because they don't need to it's like staying in F1 forever for free and yet can't make a car to beat Mercedes and let's not even talk about the last 2 seasons 🥲
They are very well hidden hahahaha the other day the nanny of my daughter went to the house just after the race so I still had the feed playing and she told us her parents were absolute fans... She's been going to the house for 5 years already hahaha At work, out of 20 people there are 4 big fans and 3 others that follow it but do not care too much if they miss a race. F1 themselves do not get the money for the tickets Im 99% sure The track pays F1 to host an gp weekend and then the track tries to make money selling tickets, food, drinks etc...
The first US GP at Indy I bought tickets for about $150 each. When I went back in following years I could buy a $25 general admission ticket. I didn't have a seat to sit in. But I could go anywhere in the track I wanted. Qualifying would cost $35. $25 for the ticket, $10 to park in someone's yard near the track. Race day parking in the same guys yard was $20. Probably, the cost cap just says how much they can spend for the car and most of their workers, not how much they get.
