When she said "probably a thousand dollars" I was like HONEY! SWEETY! YOU'VE GOT ATLEAST $100,000 WORTH OF AG STUFF. Each doll costs $115 dollars, most sets range from $80-$500. Outfits range from $28-$60. Accessories range from $5-$60.
I did the math. 40 dolls came up to $4,600. She should have atleast 100 outfits so that comes to $3,000 dollars. Then she has to have accessories which come up to around $1000 if she has 30 sets. If she has around 25 smaller furniture/play sets she would've spent $3,750, and for bigger sets would come to about $8,000 if she has 20. Keep in mind this video is from 2015, so more things came out which she has probably bought. The total on this estimate is $20,350 IF she bought everything newly packaged from the official AG store or website. If she bought things from other brands, collecters items from ebay, or got things from other second hand sellers, the estimate would go up. Now this is all just an estimate of how much things cost at the time, but as items age and become more rare, their value will go up making the worth of everything she has skyrocket considering she owns do much of the retired items.

Narwhal Ag same I just turned eleven and even my parents tease me like oh I found you a back pack for middle school and I’m like really and they say it has Ag dolls on it and I’m like ugh
I remember when I was like these girls, I’m 16 now but a part of me still loves American girl dolls. I can’t wait to one day when I have a child and I go back to the American girl doll store to buy them dolls and stuff
I loved American girl growing up. I even had my 11th birthday at the american girl place. I had only two american girl dolls since my family didnt have much money. Later on, i gave both my american girl dolls, all their clothes clothes, and all their accessories to the exceptional children's foundation to go to homeless and lower class children in the los angeles area. Yes, they were expensive but those kids deserved them more than i do.
when I went to thea g store for my b day I did this messy braid on my doll and one of the hairstylists saw it and did a French braid in her hair for free. The people who work there are very nice
I just about spit out my gum laughing when she said “This is all super girly I don’t think a boy would want to even come near this” 😂 For the record I’m a boy and I’ve been collecting American Girl dolls non stop since 2004 😂
I'm hooked to the Calico Critters (in Finland we call them Sylvanian Families). When I was younger I spent around 1000€ on the accessories, families, houses & other buildings, vehicles etc. Oh that sum doesn't include all the crafting supplies, cardboard, paint, glues, brushes... Well, after my parents stopped funding my obsession I started crafting accessories for the dolls. Now I'm hooked to that. Yeah. Dolls are dangerous money pits
Since a little girl I dreamed of having an american girl collection! I’m lucky enough to have one little doll and I’m so greatfull to be able to ever have a chance of playing with one! I still don’t have any accessory or an outfit but it’s still such a blessing! 💖❤️
I want to get an Addy American Girl doll, then Molly, then Felicity, then Mia, then Samantha, and they’ll all be friends at their happy little tea party, and I’ll read to them and take good care of them, and I’ll love them forever!
In six years or sooner they will be in storage so your children or other children in your family will enjoy them, they will have been sold on eBay (if you took good care of them), or you'll have thrown them away (if you didn't). Read about those girls, and when they lived, instead. Write stories about what you'd all discuss at those tea parties if they were real. Knowledge, memories, and relationships can last forever; toys, not so much, I'm afraid. Have fun!
I want to collect American Girl dolls so bad. For now, I only want five: Courtney, Addy, Kit, Maryellen, and Samantha. See, I never had an American Girl doll when I was little, and I remember I really wanted Molly. I was so disappointed when I found out I couldn’t have her because my parents couldn’t afford it (we’re middle class, but only if we save up on money), and this is finally something I get to be excited about, something I can look forward to. I’m 22 now, and I know that’s a little too old to be collecting dolls and everything, but I really really want them really really badly, and I’d be so disappointed if I never got them. So yeah. I’ll make an update and post a video when I get them. It’ll be awesome. I can’t wait to brush their hair and play with them like a little kid. I’m going to have so much fun! UPDATE: I have eleven dolls now. A bunch of Truly Me, some historical, (I even have Addy!) and I plan on getting some CYO. I don’t have any redhead dolls, so I plan on getting some of those. I can’t wait! I’m so excited! I just have to find the kind of money! (And the time to pay for the dolls, because I’m paying for other things right now as well).
My room has become a flipping sea of AG and our generation, if my mum saw this she would say... You have enough to fill a house, your room is like a museum!
My parents bought me Julie but they made me buy everything else. Haha! I don't really use her anymore as I'm 15 almost 16 now.. but I still am mesmerized by the tiny little things.
Im 11 and a half, and I still have 5 american girl dolls and my collection is still growing. If you look up the AG community you would find that most AG tubers are upwards of 10 years to 20 plus years. Now there are so many things you can do with them, including the less little kid side of dolls, like stop motions, room designs, photo shoots, and many other things, that older girls can really enjoy these dolls. Im not saying that yonger girls dont enjoy these things but these dolls can bring high levels of joy to all ages of girls, young and old. -Lily

I'm 27 now. My sister and I grew up on American girl with Molly and Samantha. We still have Samantha though. I got Molly on my 8th birthday. We live near the city and my mom took me to the American Girl store for my birthday the following year. We were in there for a very long time and I never wanted to leave, but it's a great memory. When I was a teenager, I thought I was too old to keep it. Instead of selling like most people did, I donated mine to charity. Looking back, I think I made a little girl happy because there are parents who can't afford an American Girl unlike mine, and their daughters see other girls like me with the advantage to buy a lot of merchandise for an expensive doll. I felt like I did the right thing.

Ok why is everyone so worked up when she says “I don’t think a boy would go near them”? Keep in mind she is like eleven and boys that are her age probably wouldn’t but if they do that is fine. I know that there are many adult collectors that are boys but that isn’t what she is talking about. People need to chill out and stop taking things to heart.
Omg I remember when girls were obsessed with American girl dolls😭 Christmas was a nightmare for the doll stores😂 kids nowadays don’t even care about toys anymore. All they want is electronics. No wonder toys r us went bankrupt😔
I honestly think Grace and that other girl I think this year 2022 with the whole winter set. Like The skiing set were one of the best recently. There were so different while the other girls are just dancers
i remember wanting to get all the historical dolls and one look-alike doll when i was younger. i ended up getting 6 historicals, one look-alike, three horses, and a shit-ton of doll clothes. i sold them later on, but i kept the look-alike so that i can either pass it on to my daughter if i actually have one, my brother's daughter if he ends up having one, or one of my cousins in the future.
Let's just be honest when you go to fix an American girl, they had to replace the part that had been broke with a new one, or they just give you a new doll and throw out the old one!
They say the doctors “ know what their doing “ but have you seen American girl you tubers just being like “ my dolls came with loose limbs when I wanted her limbs tightened “ or “ my doll came with blood on it “
It truly is an obsession- i had 8 dolls and tons of accessories and went to the American girl doll stores in Chicago, Minnesota, New York, and Atlanta eating at all their restaurants. Almost every weekend I would make my dad drive me 30 mins to downtown Chicago to go to the store. Now I’ve given my most rare doll away to a little girl who had lost her father for Christmas. I have over 1,000s of dollars worth of American girl items and I just csnt way to sell them because they’re in great shape and most of them they don’t sell anymore. Hahahahha the only upside.
I'm a guy, married with two kids and I'm from Manila, Philippines. I found out about American Girl during our visits to The US and my wife and I bought our daughter one of those Truly Me dolls; despite the price. But even if I'm a guy, I have shown some interest in The American Girl dolls as they have a line-up and storyline of girls from different periods in US History. And i have learn some aspects of American history and culture from these dolls.
That girl who says "I have like thirty-one here...but there's a few more at my beach house", how rich is she?!

I know that there are many adult collectors that are boys but that isn’t what she is talking about. People need to chill out and stop taking things to heart.
Also I just went to the NYC AG place in June!
There are three things I love in life
(Besides people so don't flip)
1. Hamilton
2. Melanie Martinez
3. And Ag dolls
I want a new American Girl Doll really bad. I haven't asked yet because I don't know what to expect.
Facebook market place is good for finding them for cheaper
Omg I remember when girls were obsessed with American girl dolls😭 Christmas was a nightmare for the doll stores😂 kids nowadays don’t even care about toys anymore. All they want is electronics. No wonder toys r us went bankrupt😔
AG FOR LIFE!!!!😂😍😍😍😂😍😂😂 The beginning is soo true 😂😂👌🏻👏🏻👌🏻😅
I have four. Lacy, Luciana Vega, Courtney Moore, and a Willie Wisher named Ashlyn :)
I hope to become a collector someday. I want to collect barbie and my life dolls from walmart too. Im starting with barbie and my life.
Just watch when the girl with 30 dolls grows up
I honestly think Grace and that other girl I think this year 2022 with the whole winter set. Like The skiing set were one of the best recently. There were so different while the other girls are just dancers
I LOVE AG!!!
I’m so mad that i only knew about American dolls in my teens years🤦🏾♀️ I wish I knew about them when I was still so into dolls, so I could get one🤣
I never played with dolls.
Bay Blades were the Jam. LMAO
*shows mom these dolls*
Her: Fuck that we getting MyLife
Nooo
I’m 16 and I have 17 dolls. American girl is for everyone regardless of gender or age💗
3yo me: I want this doll!
Mom: no! We aren’t paying for a 100$ doll.
Dad: You are wrong but proceed...*buys me a doll the next year for Christmas*
But I still think its cute for all the girls to have there own personal doll xx
i remember wanting to get all the historical dolls and one look-alike doll when i was younger.
i ended up getting 6 historicals, one look-alike, three horses, and a shit-ton of doll clothes.
i sold them later on, but i kept the look-alike so that i can either pass it on to my daughter if i actually have one, my brother's daughter if he ends up having one, or one of my cousins in the future.
Why don't they recognize all those AGtubers out there who take painstaking effort to make quality stopmotions and doll videos?
I treat my american girl dolls like they're my own children
Omg did anyone else see that he picked up bitty baby clothes for the bitty twins.........but anyway I love AG dolls I'm just starting my collection
My mom loves them even more than me. How about collectors and AGIERS. They forgot about mentioning the adults obsessing about AG dolls.
Tara's Bubble Haha same with my mom she keeps buying them!
On Monday I went to 5th Ave and I was about to go inside but it was closed they moved to 75 Rockefeller plaza and I bought Luciana Vega 2018 goty
Let's just be honest when you go to fix an American girl, they had to replace the part that had been broke with a new one, or they just give you a new doll and throw out the old one!
KC's Corner they actually do fix the doll because you would have to pay way more to replace the ENTIRE doll. You might as well just buy a new doll
I am still watching this 😂🤣
They say the doctors “ know what their doing “ but have you seen American girl you tubers just being like “ my dolls came with loose limbs when I wanted her limbs tightened “ or “ my doll came with blood on it “
It truly is an obsession- i had 8 dolls and tons of accessories and went to the American girl doll stores in Chicago, Minnesota, New York, and Atlanta eating at all their restaurants.
Love American dolls
I have 13 of the American girl dolls they are very expensive but worth it I have a bit of a addiction to them
