My opinion is to never engine brake on a 2 stroke but some people do it for years without ceizures and without damage to the engine. I think no one knows the real anwser but I dont do it just to be safe :)
@@2strokerides So just pull the clutch lever when for example rolling down a hill? On a 4 stroke you would typically just engine brake on your way down.
You can do engine braking on a 2 stroke but not to hard as on 4t it is always taking oil if you are using oil from oil pump not mixed with petrol. When you close throttle oil is being sucked in because oil inlet is placed between intake and throttle not after the throttle so closing throttle doesn't close oil pipe. If your oil lubrication is blended it is better not to do it because it might not getting enough oil mixture to the engine. That is why it is not so good idea to blend oil pump, just use always synthetic oil and it will not stuck (ofcourse clean it well if you bought used bike). I personally have oil pump on and it never let me down, but I also use oil adds for 2t that let's engine run even with out oil for a while just for incase and for my better feeling :). I am also 2t rider and fan.
No I wont, the hp difference is to small. I'm a real 2stroke guy so I would always take the 2 stroke but if your not a 2stroke guy, the RC390 is the better choice.
@@2strokerides powershifting is a technique used on little 2 stroke bikes, you basically just shift gears without closing the throttle and blipping the clutch, you can save a lot of time if you master it. Anyways, you're right about the gears, RS is for top speed and corner agility, the Tuono (RS's Sister with same engine and frame, but no fairings) is for fun and it has shorter gears than RS
Pull away slowly pop it in 2nd low revs,dump open the throttle and at the same time fan ( engage the clutch basket on and off about 3times a second right on engage point, the PB kicks in and your in the blood line making full juju instantly....may the force b whith you 🔥

Rc390 has no chance against rs 125. I've tested it ;)
if you power shift and put on shorter gears you can go under 5 seconds
What do you mean with power shift? And i dont want to shorten the gears because I'll lose top speed :)
