Appreciate the high quality and transparent review of a product! It’s the little details that make for overall experience (for better or for worse). Thanks for doing that. Gives you even more credibility.
The handle wiggles because it is a Vibration Dampener - orthopedic injuries from long-term exposure to vibration can be devastating (and a huge corporate liability). It would probably be helpful if the company explicitly stated that the handle was intended to dampen vibration, but they probably don't want to call attention to the vibration issue (which is common to ALL string trimmers).
Great review. Enjoyed it a lot. I have a Craftsman 34cc 4-stroke Weed Wacker. I found it really very unreliable year-to-year. Had to replace the carb & fuel lines twice - having to tune it each time because the carbs never work right out of the box. Recently bought one of these (ST1521S), and find it has all the power of that Craftsman with far less hassle, smell, noise and vibration. So far really happy with it and ready to send the Craftsman to the dump. The only gripe I have is no Hi/Lo speed switch. Variable speed trigger is nice, but the rev range is only 4000-5800 rpm and holding the trigger steady for low speed is tedious. Beyond that though I can overlook the speed switch since being a 2019 model you can get these at a really good price lately.
I have the dewalt 20v i went thru 3 brands of heads before i settled on husqvarna head took me quite awhile to master trimming my sidewalks have a worx for backup but happy with my dewalt
@@TheLawnMentor yes i have enough batteries because have other dewalt tools small yard useing the husqvarna head and .095 line have the dewalt sp.head, and yhat other one 400 head every one uses
It would probably work for a while but then stretch out over time and fall off. It’s tolerable for now and the rest of it is comfortable - but that’s a good idea, thanks for commenting!

Absolutely! I would never want to steer anybody wrong. And, I’m particular about details 🙂
Extremely helpful, real world review. Thanks!
Thank you for that!!

Great review Kyle
Thanks Scott!!!!
Good review Kyle. I enjoy my battery powered yard tools. 👊
Thanks, Chris! It’s been a pretty solid tool overall! More enjoyable than gas for sure
The length of the shaft is always important no matter what she said..

Feels good in the hand!

Mine still runs like a champ!
Good review Kyle! Have you ever used a Dewalt 20v?
Thank you! No, I haven’t used that lineup

Do you find the 20v is enough power?

I’m glad that it’s working out for you!
How many feet of line can this take?
I think it’s 16 feet
Nice review....if you know anyone who's selling an Echo trimmer let me know 😉
I might know a guy 🤨
Can't you just wrap some electrical tape over the safety switch ?

Hate how it spins clockwise instead of ant iclockwise
Yeah it’s something to get used to, but it’s worth it to me!
@@TheLawnMentor just got mine today and it throws clippings towards me, apart from that I love it.
Did you get the one with line IQ?! I’m so curious how people like that feature
@@TheLawnMentor no, here in Australia we don't seem to be getting it.
Ahhh that’s just plain old not fair
