2 options I can come up with but am not sure how it will work. Option 1) flipping the servo around so instead of the output further back now having the output further forward and just having a shorter steering rod. Then reversing the servo throw. Option 2) remove the rod on the left and leaving the rod on the right to cycle through the full travel. Now, option 2 would also include the need to get at least the part the rod connects to in aluminum on the bellcrank to keep from snapping the arm off the bellcrank. Just what I'm coming up with watching your video.
Razor RC yes I also was thinking of plastic welding the servo saver are in a different position I’ve got a new servo saver coming to try it ... as soon as I find a way I’ll post how I did it thanks for watching and I believe I’ll use a smaller arm as well to give room forwards 🔥🔥💪💪👍👍rc ppl are awesome and helpful
For such a Pricey Car, that problem shouldn’t be there. Also.....Losi Never Addressed the Nose Down Attitude when it jumps. Great video and info! Those Issues keep me from buying them.
I think I’d look for some rod ends and a steel rod. I’d try to bend a custom rod with maybe some 30 degree angles on the ends to add additional clearance.
I got the same issue! Bought my dbxl 2.0 2 weeks ago. Thought my servo was weak and bought a savox with more torque and its same issue. Gonna look into putting 2 servos in it now. Wonder if getting a wider servo horn with adjustable tie rods would fix problem with single servo?
GAP reviews AtoZ no problem it’s not a reason not to own one but ppl should know and maybe someone has fixed it already the price on the dbxl-e is awesome tho 🔥🔥💪💪👍👍
GAP reviews AtoZ because the steering rod hit in front a longer horn will still hit infront maybe a smaller turn buckle and steering rod might help witch I plan on trying but I think if I plastic weld the servo saver position,it will work great so I have one on order to try, or I might have one made out of metal if it works plastic welding it in the right position
GAP reviews AtoZ I’m hoping you still order one they are fun !! They needs some adjustments out of the box but at 600.00 it’s well worth the time fixing it ?
Buenos dias! Me gustaria saber que variador, motor y baterías son lo más potente que se le puede meter al Losi dbxl-e 2.0 fox sin necesidad de hacer ningún cambio más y sea mucho mas potente que de serie. Gracias!
I got the 1500g servo from Spektrum and issue solved...... tho it did cost me $250 part # S9110BL turns perfect both ways exactly the same nothing binds scrapes or hits i also upgraded every oem losi aluminum part available like the aluminum servo saver arm and center brace 🤑. It steers so awesome and good that at full throttle its does donuts both ways untill it flips.
CaRnAgE_4_Justin nice 👍 I have the servo just waiting on another servo saver to see if I can modify it a little to get more out of it let me know how yours comes out thanks for watching 🔥🔥💪💪👍👍
Earl how does the castle 2028 compare to the spektrum firma 780kv in size. Is the castle the same or bigger. I plan to replace the system in my dbxle2 with castle system. The brakes are on weak side I'm thinking due to the magnets in the spektrum motor being not as strong as castle's.
Hi earl, I picked up an old dbxl v1. What’s the best steering system upgrade? Will the vitavon fit on the older model? What do you suggest? Even for servo? I’m looking for the complete steering system upgrade.help!!
The design of the steering is a problem idk what anyone tried to do with it as the steering turn great one way and way less the other way no real solutions to the design even the 2.0 has the issue just not as bad I can’t recommend any solutions sorry as I never was able to solve it
Like I said on your previous video. If you set your end points on the transmitter correctly, then REBIND and CALIBRATE the RECEIVER, this will fix the issue. I spent awhile today working on this issue and I'm telling you my 2.0 has full lock left and right.. my servo rods do not hit the servo saver at full lock either direction.. close, but doesn't hit.. I have sharp turning radius left and right.. When you set your end points, which ever you do first (left or right) , wait for the led on the receiver to go solid before adjusting the other end point. If this is done correctly and you power off the tx/rx and then REBIND AND CALIBRATE THE RECEIVER, The issue will be fixed.. I promise you!
Nick Olson hahahahah it won’t sorry the rod hit the front on left turns so end points don’t fix it unless you have a special addition lol but glad it works for you but me it doesn’t !!!!
@@earlmoorhead5555 if you did not rebind and calibrate your receiver after adjusting end points then the receiver with AVC will not recognize the changed end points
When I push mine by hand all the way to the left it does not hit "bar" like yours does. It's maxing out at the hub area. The wheel can't physically move any further than it does in either direction on mine. Not sure why yours is different.
@@rgr4475 Same here.. With the vehicle off I can manually rotate my tires left and right to full lock with out hitting/binding anything.. And all I did was set my end points both left and right and then rebind and calibrate the receiver and all was perfect after that
@@earlmoorhead5555 it really does... its slim and takes the original steering drag link in normal position, think outside on track it will run/turn like expected... i could send you a Video

@@earlmoorhead5555 Yeah, 50 is probably unrealistic as it wasn't designed with tight turns in mind like crawlers are. I'm trying to figure out which car would be best to use as a base for a 1/5 scale Formula Offroad car. Perhaps the Super Rock Rey offer better steering. It is also alot lighter.
No I tried Losi fix of dual steering servos it got better but even with the servo disconnected it bottom out one direction first so you have to limit one direction to make it the same turning radius
Right people told me I just needed my end points calibrated but that not true they all have this issue except the gas older K&N addition as that steering is set up different
The problem, the real problem is just one: Losi and their overpowered, ton-like heavy big scale models in wich they use thin shafts, rods and some other vital components not strong enoughh to handle all that power and weight. Of course they also use poor electronics, just like traxxas does.
RcDriver_Online just released his Review on the Dbxl-e 2.0.. @28:30 in his video he talks about this steering issue and guess what. He fixed it just by setting the endpoints and says it steers sharp and perfect both directions... his turns so sharp, it rubs the inside of his bead lock ring.. I wish you luck ua-cam.com/video/trGNnXIGqF4/v-deo.html

Good explanation. I'd try using thinner, metal adjustable turnbuckles if you can find some that fit.

Thanks earl I get mines this week you helped out on a lot of tips for the truck
Thanks 🙏
I have all the same trucks. I custom made my own servo arms/connecting arms from available ones to run jk2070 servos. Thats how i fixed them all.
RCN really that’s awesome do you have a video on it ??
RCN and did you add two servos to all of them ?
Great info Earl. I needed that. Much appreciated

Do you need both arms? Can you delete the arm that is causing the interference and use the outer arm only?
It won’t have the turning power need to turn sitting still
Lol send this to losi they need to see this.
