What's the status now ?
Rooting for you!
Guys and girls,
When you are off cigarettes for good;
-drink 3 lt of water
-ginger tea
-lots and lots and LOTS of vegetables & citrus daily
And DO CARDIO
This routine will rapidly cleanse your lungs & reverse the damage
I drink ginger tea all the time (just love it), do cardio, eat vegetables, and I SMOKE
Smoking alone cuts down the benefits from all those things A LOT.
I use raw honey straight from bee hives. Raw honey will do great job at detoxing lungs
Day 2 today, 🙏 I also cut meat and soda. I have headaches for the past few days. Can it be one or all three? Drinking water and going to the gym. Lost 5lbs. Today and last night was a little tricky with wanting to nibble at food. But no bullshitting tomorrow. No eating as a substitute after today!
@@LaDeeDah day 2! Lmao. Try going 9 months no cigs then lets talk
A lot of the 'depression' is one's interpretation of the withdrawal symptoms. I quit five weeks ago (30year habit), and yesterday I had a fairly bad day (subdued mood, didn't enjoy an evening out that i had been looking forward to for ages etc). But kept reminding myself its just temporary. Today woke up feeling completely different, so pleased that I didn't allow a temporary dip in mood to become a spiral of negative thoughts and bring me down
Update - I’m still nicotine free! I would say there were some tough (ish) moods around day 28 but now I feel mentally better and stronger than I’ve felt since I was a kid
Excellent
I replaced smoking with decaff coffee. I quit caffeine and butts at the same time. Smoke free 6 years. :) Good luck!

Im pretty proud on myself..im 11 days smoke free-my two biggest fears were :1.smoking when going out-was out on day 9 and had 2 drinks and didnt smoke..😃
2. Going on a coffee with a smoker -been today with coworker that smokes and offered me a cigarette-I resisted and didnt accept..maybe this sounds silly but these two situations were my biggest fears when it comes to relapse in early days..so im pretty proud😊😊
That so awesome, how are you doing now?? Today is my first day!!!!
@@weldinggirl hellou😊😊 im still smoke free,i don't have urges to smoke anymore (that are strong as the ones at the beginning), and there are even times when I forgot that cigarettes exist. Amazing seriously flawless. I love that she wants to help people. Especially others to understand the addiction of cravings. On top of that describes to replace certain words instead of cigarette. I'm not a cigarette smoker, every now and then I would have one, I vaped constantly and I have EPILEPSY. I drank every now and then, but today I am finally READY to quit. If you can go one day or even 30 minutes to one hour without smoking, you can do it, you're not alone, it's never too late. I haven't smoked in 2 hours maybe even 3 (time flies), but I already feel freaking great. Don't hurt yourself, don't harm yourself. This is a great strategy to persevere, not just wisdom. Keep going!! Thank you.
I haven't smoked in 4 days, but I feel like it's pointless keeping track because I know that I will never be touching it again. Can't believe I actually started!! All the best to anyone who is quitting too. You've got this!
Edit : Day 15 [09/05/22] without a trace of Nicotine. Like I said, yuck! I cannot believe I actually got started. I'll keep updating for anyone who draw motivation from this.
Well done! It’ll only get easier now

Day 8 .. I needed this talk ❤ Hope you are doing well !
70 days from last cigarettes
Lock down helped me
2 months and 1 week smoke-free. I almost forgot how hard it was to quit.....but on January 10th I had a one hour relapse thinking it would relax me after a stressful week. All it did was make crave it more I stopped and never looked back. Stay free forever!
I smoked for 9 years and it took me 2 years to stop smoking and it’s been 2 days , today is my third day , i really want to smoke just cause I know it will end my headace but I won’t , first day was hard , second was easy and today is a bit hard. I will have a headace rather than having burning chest , stomach , bad breath , bad skin and yellow teeth’s. I won’t waste my money. Tbh I’m breathing so much better and I have no burns in chest and stomach. I will not be a smoker ever again.
Starting right now. I'm greater than my addiction. We got this.
DAY 2 Since quitting, this is helping. I want to comment so that i can come back to this comment and remind myself the reasons Why i choose to quit. Good luck to everyone who is trying.

I started smoking around 6 years back at 25yrs old due to my lifestyle(moving to a new city for work). Before this, I was too productive and healthy by having good habits (sports, eating healthy, working hard without any boredom, and also, keeping my mind and body together). During these 6yrs, I didn't feel myself - I was instantly getting rewards by smoking and taking things easy (I just don't want this lifestyle choice anymore, I want to be like an athlete that I used to be and energetic) I have many things to do in my environment, so gonna work on it each 1by1 and get a dopamine. My life is good and grateful for everything - it's just that I don't want a stimulant...
So, I'm gonna take a decision as Nasia said "Personal Potential - (Identity, Emotions, and Beliefs)" and QUIT!!!

I will keep updating this thread with my progress, wish me luck!
The best video about quitting smoking I have ever seen
The hardest part is the habit or routine that has settled in. I just turned 47 ..... and I just want my healthy life again including working out & running again. I want healthy lungs (air), good breath, a healthy complexion, and not smelling like I came out of a casino. This was a great speech that motivated me now!!🙌 Wish me luck everyone!💯💕

after 30 years on 20 s day. I did it by cutting down gradually . From
20 to 15 to 10 to 5 .....and then one day realised I didn't need them at all. I can already feel the difference when walking or doing any kind of of exercise. It's like being 10 years younger !!

its just been an endless loop for me, quitting and then feeling proud for choosing to stop, then the next day i wake up with immediate morning cravings, and nothing else matters- i convince myself that i enjoy it, or if something pushes me over the edge i give in because i believe “it will make me feel better” but after i give in i feel so guilty, which then leads to more cigarettes. I need to stop now, because i know that truly feeling good is not having to rely on a substance and having amazing physical health. I hope that my next attempt is successful and pray i find the discipline. 🙏 wish me luck 🍀
Im in my 10th day mark and i can totally relate to u i was a heavy smoker for 19year

Also remember (learnt from the easyway) that the only reason you feel stressed in first place is because of the Nicotine leaving your body from the last one. So each cig creates the need for the next. There is only one way to end the cycle... You know what to do 🙂
22 and a smoker here who is desperately trying to quit. One of things that help are my memories of when I was pre teen and I try to recall the things that made me happy as a kid. We all had moments of bliss no matter how small or fleeting they were. Moments devoid of any thought of external stimulants. I try to connect with that version of myself and so far it has been working, simply remembering that I had been happy without ciggarettes.

I'm quitting THC and nicotine TODAY. after 15 years. I'm 26. Im using patches prescribed to me, just bought a TON of different kinds gum, and using an oxygen inhaler(like the ones from ski resorts + proair) to help. I want to be a surgical nurse. Wish me luck God 🙏

Hasn't been the most stable year of my life but i need a victory like this one
How'd go?
you are just an angel sent to rescue me from smoking.... i am free ❤ i send my love to you wherever you are❤
I quit about 30 minutes ago. Impulsively. Just done with the pain in my chest, the insecurity when I try to sing. The reason I haven't stopped before is because I'm too afraid to be too intense, too much. That my emotions will flood all over the place. But its time to truly choose myself and my true self fully. Beginning is hard, its scary. I might even cry after writing this comment because it feels like letting go of a friend. But its a toxic friend who slowly drains and kills me. That makes me tear up every time I try to sing/develop my voice. Hurts my chest. Makes me feel clouded. I don't wanna be clouded or not fully here. I want to live fully. I want to be able to sing confidently and out loud. Its even scary to write this comment, because Ive said these things so many times to myself before and I'm still in therapy for my emotions. I need to do this for me. I really want to feel better and to be able to cope differently. No need to escape no more in this way.
Wow. I totally relate. Sometimes I have thought that I have developed habits to dull myself down because my energy is too much for the people in my life to handle.
But that is so great! Because once we decide to live to our authentic selves, our potential that has been waiting is SO HUGE.
I'm really happy that you have decided to live 🤘
I love her accent and prescence
I choose squats to replace my smoking
It's funny you say that because I've started an exercise regimen and I'm still smoking but I smoke a lot less. A friend of mine told me that the more you exercise, the less you will want to smoke, and eventually not smoke at all. I've been doing this for a few days now and I usually smoke a pack a day. Today I smoked under a half a pack! I truly feel that exercise really heals the Brain. Especially with addiction. 👍☺
I am seriously impressed. Squats. Wow! I haven’t reached the replacement stage, but I’m thinking of letter writing.
