Thanks bud! Currently using a hero 3 as they are cheap to find used and do a decent job, but I really need to step up the camera game haha.. looking forward to some warm weather also to melt the ice!! Tight lines!

avalon wilderness area in the north end of it. was on foot so this google map find was a far enough trot for that day! But I do have to return, on the bush bash out I lost that new net!

Not the wilderness, but cute road side spot to take the kids. Always nice to stretch a line regardless.

Oh it's wilderness. That is far from a road. Those are just old logging paths. No houses, no people. WILDERNESS.

@@friendlyzombie1460 ok. I usually equate wilderness with hiking for hours or days & tenting well away from any accessibility via vehicle or ATV.
It almost looks like you could drive a truck near this spot, & a brief walk to your fishing spot.
Beautiful nonetheless !!! Wilderness is a broad term, & may mean a different thing to different folks .

@@NewfieCRF If you've never been to Newfoundland then I get what you're saying. It is so sparsely populated that you can literally walk out your back door and get lost in the woods. You should make a trip after Covid (if this thing ever ends). Promise you'll be amazed. Like me, you might never leave. This place gets into your soul.

@@friendlyzombie1460 it’s a beautiful place !!! But again. The wilderness has a different meaning for many.
      Map , compass, GPS.
If you got cell service, for certain you ain’t in there yet .
But great spot with three brooks running in. Maybe after spring thaw be some good sized panners their !!!
      Great editing

    Is that a scheduled river?

    • @roby2331
      @roby2331  Рік тому

Nah, thats just a random river in the woods between a few larger ponds, lots of small brookies, few browns, and lots of winnies kickin around also..

@@roby2331 Those are my favorite kind of rivers. No crowds or wardens around and the mud trout are my favorite to eat.

I could spend every day on little rivers with a light weight rod and never get tired of it! Most of what you will find here are those small watering holes, smaller rivers, and maybe some salt water fun tossed in.. i do live next to a sched river but never film on it, or film salmon stuff in general..I keep that stuff pretty quiet..lol

not quite but close enough in condition..hah it was an old logging road I took as far as the truck would go and walked from there.. I will be returnign as soon as the snow shags off as I need to retrieve the net I dropped bush bashing on the way out. hopefully sooner than later!

@@crownroy4946 That's good idea. Hard to find big trout in Newfoundland. Too many poachers.
