I work at Target and our tech dept has gone WAY downhill. We barely carry anything. Of course we carry iPhones because we cater to teens who ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE AN IPHONE. We have exactly one Pixel 6a for some reason even though we used to carry the latest Pixel phones. We also used to carry Samsung flagship phones but we got rid of Samsung 2yrs ago. So now basically the only new phone your going to find is iPhone. Even our selection of prepaid phones suck. I wanted to see if I could get a deal on a Samsung A35 using my employee discount but we don't carry any A35s. Mybe we stopped carrying flagship stuff because it's just gets stolen by emplyees. We just had one of our seasonal tech department employees get arrested last week for stealing over $8000 worth of Apple products and then another seasonal guy got arrested 4 days later for stealing. Also I'm currently using a Pixel 8 Pro.
Nah, I agree. I worked during covid, and tech was ok, now it's just barren. I do agree that theft could be a factor. There are not a lot of other high items in the store. The tech seems to be high end for people who just need the latest apple device or people who don't know where to look. This is a case in central massachusetts comma Also, your employees are idiots. They do the bare minimum of counting tech items on rotating shifts and have camera. Don't know how they thought they would not get caught.
I've never worked Target, but at the start of plandemic Target had some good deals, and it was the only place I was able to snag a Nintendo Switch Lite for killing downtime at work, but yeah these days the 2 in my area really don't have too many good deals on electronics except some of the Heyday USB charge hubs, and earbuds for backups/gifts when they go on sale. Having said that I would NOT buy a phone from there that's for sure. BTW I'm rocking a Pixel 8a I got unlocked on eBay for 400 bones shipped earlier this year, and passed down my 6a to a family member who needed a new phone.
Lol, after talking about everyone else stealing you started your last line with"Also". Almost thought you were gonna say you were stealing something too😂
I used to work at target and our tech department also went downhill, with cases and screen protectors costing absurd amounts of money, and them not selling any decent laptops just those with crappy celerons. That being said, I don't think theft should be much of a concern assuming target installs the proper security devices. (like putting them behind glass, locking them in cases, and putting security tags on them.)
I switched from an iPhone SE to a Google Pixel 8a (after using iOS for 14 years) and ain't going back. I ended up with the 8a when the 9 was out of stock, but I am still happy with my purchase.

the pixel 9 pro is such a great device. I definitely want to see your 1 week impression of it. PS try night time photography. The 5x zoom camera can pick out a license plate, down the street, at night, with oncoming traffic blinding you with headlights. It's impressive.

Buying cheap phones from Walmart or target seems like a good idea but then it’s more annoying sitting there removing all the apps that they automatically installed.
@@johnzoid74 HMD now owns the Nokia brand, and I'll say after owning a few of their Android phones, and a tablet in recent years I won't be buying another because their Q/C is horrible like the Nokia G50 I had where the internal flash memory failed within less than a year's time, and Nokia's support refused to do anything about it(go read their support forums it's freaking nightmare you might want to do a video about, so you can warn people not to buy their crap!!), and I got my mother a Nokia C100 in July 2022 as her needs are not that demanding, the damn thing started crapping out on us not a week later with all kinds of glitches, reboots, and overall being sluggish, also even with a good thick rubber case(not a ton of really good case options for the phones) their screens are not near as durable as they claim they are. How do you like the Google phone? I’m thinking about buying that as my personal main phone replacing my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I’ve had nothing but problems with.
So, just FYI - I've been buying Google Pixel phones since the Pixel 6 and even with the few software bugs, it was a terrific device, the same with the Pixel 7 and 8! Each of those had minor issues which kept them from being nearly perfect - I just traded in my Pixel 8 for the Pixel 9 Pro (I much prefer smaller form factors as I have relatively smaller hands and as I've gotten older, I now deal with a bit of arthritis in my fingers).......Google gave me the total cost of the Pixel 9 Pro for my Pixel 8 trade-in and after 10 days now, let me say that THIS PIXEL 9 PRO is as near perfect as a phone can be!!! The three "issues" which plagued the three previous Pixel phones have been fixed (battery life, which is great.......overheating at times, now non-existent and the modem, which is phenominal). The cameras are probably THE best of ANY smartphone out there, my Pixel 9 Pro has 256gb of internal storage and the AI features (which, to be honest, I don't use on a regular basis) are amazing, and will only get better with the quarterly feature updates. Add to this that Google promises 7 years of security and OS updates and yes, the Pixel 9 Pro is about as perfect as a device can get! Since I'm not a "gamer", I can't offer an opinion on that aspect, but from what I've recently read and a few people I've spoken with, the Pixel 9 series can handle most anything you throw at it - I would just add that if you're one of those heavily-intensive gamers who like to play heavy graphic games constantly, you may want to opt for a gaming phone........MAYBE!!!
The pixel 9 pro is great but sadly the Tensor chip it has just pales in comparison to even the 2023 MediaTek or Qualcomm offeings, especially for a flagship phone in 2024. It works fine for most people, with the camera and AI integration being fantastic selling points, but for people wanting to do anything hardware intensive, a different flagship phone will likely do the job better...
Target sucks. People always say competition is good, and while that's true, the "competition" is anything but. Imagine spending three dollars more at target for an already overpriced package of boxers at walmart. Someone from Wally World must have infiltrated Kroger and Target and had them ridiculously inflate the prices.

Why do I feel weird that you have a new pixel😂
Using a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
You can find that on Amazon renewed for like 170 bucks and they just announced it's going to get Android 16 and 17
Please do a video about KaiOS, there are not a lot of videos about it. 😢
Using pixel 8 here
Watching from Pixel 7 Pro
Me sansung S24 Ultra
Target sucks.
People always say competition is good, and while that's true, the "competition" is anything but. Imagine spending three dollars more at target for an already overpriced package of boxers at walmart. Someone from Wally World must have infiltrated Kroger and Target and had them ridiculously inflate the prices.
You have the best cell phone videos
I have the pixel 9 and I love the cameras on it
I am currently using a google pixel 7a and loving it
I have a pixel 9 pro xl!
I forgot target sells phones in general
Editing Tip: Never put white text on a white background, use contrasting colors.
I want the peony pink pixel 9. Its beautiful!
Fyi that nokia 2780 is the same model the new pink Barbie flip that is coming out. I was thinking of doing an unboxing myself and the start of my very first video in my channel.
Using a pixel 8 pro, it's fine for my needs. Amazing cameras.
I wasn’t expecting Target to be considered “cheap” tbh.
Target's got it right though
iPhone XR is 6 years old… still holds up though.
Currently rocking an se3 and out of all my android phones this one is closer in performance to the galaxy a54
The SE 3 is a beast.
@ depends at times but pretty decent for entry level iPhone
