Apparently I watched this entire thing last night but I don’t remember any of it because I fell asleep in the first 5 mins. Here we go again!

unlike with other videos, falling asleep to an asmr video is a compliment

For who are interested: The dragon boat festival originates in China ~2500 yrs ago, it's lunar and crop/harvest/superstitious related where villages/towns compete with each other for town 'bragging rights' and good fortune by racing these comically long boats up and down local canals/rivers - these competitions happen all over China. Each boat is manually unburied from a river bottom during the festival, and then placed back after each year -the wood of the boats are preserved by the encasement of wet mud. The oldest boat today is over 5 and half centuries old.

Never knew about the boats being buried, what an interesting tradition! Thanks for the info!

Sorry you found it too loud! I use an aggressive limiter and perceptual volume normalization to ensure that everything peaks around the same level, but sometimes the crinkly sounds still seem louder. It could be that certain headphones accentuate those frequencies more than others, or different people are more or less sensitive to those kinds of sounds. I'll try to be even more careful with the crinkling sounds in the future!

I think I do use scissors in this video? Although there might have been an item or two I didn't use them with. I'll try to use them more consistently in future to keep things quieter!

Be more polite! And by the way, he used scissors. No need to be rude.
