To be honest I had to rewatch the video. It’s been several months since I filmed it. Yeah, I was very surprised how close they all were at that distance. When I get some decent weather around here I’d like to put out a block of ballistic gel and see if I can get some hits and see what kind of penetration they’re getting that far out.
@@WesternOutdoor testing gel at that distance would be awesome! I've seen a couple videos of folks shooting larger caliber at distance but haven't been able to find any testing 556/223.
I’ve got 2 brand new blocks waiting for a nice day that coincides with my days off. I did a 500 yard test with M855 last spring. It’s on the channel if you’d like to see it.👍
It’s an EA Brown Company. I didn’t remember it being a match grade but I looked them up and they’re advertising them as national match grade, 1/9 24” .223 Wylde. They’re $300 now vs. like $275 when I got mine. Gone up like everything else but still not terrible.
Not my choice of firearm or ammo for 950+ yards, but wholly smokes, I wouldn't want to be standing down there! Thanks for the cool video!
956 yards, three different loadings. Dang impressive.
I was happy with those results.👍👍thanks for watching.
Winchester won the military contract for Lake City
I was really surprised to see all three of those cartridges group so close together at that distance.

@@WesternOutdoor cool, I'll have to go watch it. Thanks for all the info.
Figure it out during the editing faze. Oh goody, so we'll never know. Brilliant
The viewer sees it as it happens. I have to see the impacts after the fact. Most folks pick up on that right away.
Oh and it’s “phase” by the way. Your poor grammar doesn’t faze me.😉👍
Done did it, fazed you more n me!🤣🤣@@WesternOutdoor
Great Video 📹 👍 👏 👌 🙌 😀
Thanks! Appreciate the great feedback!!👍👍
What barrel are you using ? Is it a match grade barrel or just standard CHF decent barrel.

Why 956? Just curious.
Well, 1000 would either put me shooting from the road or put the Target behind the hill. If that makes sense.😂
So would you say the 68 grain frontier would line up with my acog that is calibrated for m855?
Well, every rifle is a little different but it may be worth a try.
