Trust me, the turret not hitting the target is pretty on point.
Lucy waving the gun at diaper dude is poking fun at players who don't put their weapons away when talking to NPCs. Second, diaper dude is a reference to an NPC you can encounter in the original Fallout game from 1997. Two Easter eggs in one scene. Brilliant!
This show is VERY faithful to the game. The two headed cow is a "Brahmin" and they are the common cattle/pack animal in the game. In this world its weird when a brahmin has only one head.
"filly" the town is not philladelphia, but instead its short for "landfill". the mutant bear is a "Yao Guai" and they are a very tough mutant in the game. the name is evolved from "Yogi" as in "Yogi Bear".
the water filter guy in the diaper and the people in the "town" are the typical mix of NPC's you encounter in the game. None of this was spoilers, but much of the flow of the show emulates the flow of the game. fun to play, and fun to watch.
the scene with the ship looks so reel because it was filmed on location, it was real.
You guys are in for one heck of a wild ride.....I have played most of the Fallout games. I had a buddy watch the series and he started playing Fallout 3 soon after
Fun reaction again, had the same reaction when the Ghoul killed the scientist's dog, was happy that he healed him again, no matter his intentions 🤗
That creature was a yao guai, a mutated black bear.
