The backlash is going to be interesting to watch. Heart-breaking for the kids that have gone thrrough a normal phase that's been exploited by their parents though.
You only have to look at the stats from schools to see what's going on. There's a school in Brighton where something like 40% of the kids are "trans" or "non-binary". Whereas schools in places like Ashfield have pretty much zero kids with such issues. It's fashion, pure and simple. And it's especially fashionable within celebrity circles, so they're all pushing their kids into the club.
I just wish the morons who cancelled him hadn't existed, as we've missed years of his genius; who knows how he'd redifine sitcoms next? John Cleese made a masterpiece with Falty Towers---Graham Linehan matched that show with every single show he created, right back to Father Ted.
The reason there is such a high percentage of trans kids among celebrity families is because its the latest high fashion accessory. It's the IN thing to have a trans kid. "Look how Virtue signalling I am." My son has become my daughter. And I am SO understanding.
Jane Fonda did not deserve the career she's had. She's a middling talent at best and has not been artistically relevant in decades but still enjoys some authoritative prestige in the industry. Same with Jaimie Curtis.
We're constantly told by the wokeists that transpeople are less than one percent of the population when they're everywhere. Either they're at least twenty percent of the population, or most people who claim to be trans actually aren't. The wokeists need to pick a lane. And Graham makes a good point about shortened life expectancy. For example, I'm fully expecting Elliot Page to die before I do even though she's several years younger than me. You only need to look at her to see the damage she's done to herself. Why isn't that aspect being talked about more?
I graduated with a degree in language and literature in 2013 expecting I would still have to start entry level in the kind of cummunication-heavy office job I wanted to do. It should also be said, there is a lot of data out there now to show that a large proportion of young people identifying as trans and pushing for surgery, are on the autistic/aspergers spectrum. What parents are allowing their children to do to themselves is beyond me to understand as part of a civilised, progressive society. I can accept that there is a tiny percentage of people that truly feel they are living in the wrong body, but this 'trend' is degrading to those genuine people. NO hormones or surgery should be given to anyone under the age of 18. Once an adult, they can make an educated and informed decision for themselves. If in doubt, read the Cass Report.
