It seems to me that Tonina is a "the queen"... She's 25 but had no job... she just partied and sewed... no other responsibilities. If the house only has 2 bathrooms & her bedroom has a dedicated bathroom, Tonina slept in the master bedroom - even though it's her mom's apartment.
She is completely self-absorbed and paints herself as a victim constantly - even now. Everyone is out to get her, talking about her and treating her badly.
It wouldn't surprise me if she drowned her nephew out of jealousy and let her mom take the consequences.
If Tonina has her own kids, I'd be worried about them.

Also super fucking weird that she felt flattered when the officer said she did good trying to resuscitate the child, when he died soon after. Whatever psychosis she has going on, she suddenly mixed up actual observable events (ie, "I got on the phone with 911...") with what was *going through her head* when on the phone with 911, but only halfway. To me, in that moment she's revealing a quick discussion she had with whoever (not her mom imho, but someone no one but her can see/hear :| ) told her "it sounds like you're ordering a pizza... turn shit up a bit maybe?", her reply being "I'm not ordering a pizza! I'm not... no, I'm" etc.

So like Tonina did something to that poor boy but was able to make it seem like it was her mum who did it and she was just asleep conveniently and so it can’t have ANYTHING to do with her. That’s why the mum keeps saying she doesn’t know. She is in her own head and is soo confused but because she has been gaslit by Tonina she thinks it’s her fault but just don’t know what happened. People respond to trauma in different ways. Some go into shock and dissociate and enter a dream-like state without processing the traumatic experience they just went through or are currently going through, some become hysterical, some lash out and become aggressive, etc, etc.
It's a good thing most _(hopefully)_ of the commenters here are not in positions of authority within our criminal justice system, because a *LOT* of innocent people would be in prison right now based solely on the clear lack of understanding of psychology being displayed here. *Fucking yikes.*

AGREE! Mom might have been mentally unwell too, but I think part of that could be caused by dealing with her daughter. Having a crazy person in the house-- narcissistic, violent, bipolar, selfish-- takes its toll. Maybe she was "pacing" so much because she was worried about her daughter. Tonina's psychosis is obvious, but she is able to do a lot of self-preservation. Why she chose to kill that child? Maybe to hurt her sisters that she clearly had anger towards. Just. Wow.

I read in a separate article that during a jail visitation with DeAngelo's parents, Terry mouthed the words "Tonina did it", but she wouldn't say it out loud to them. I think the little boy woke up early that morning and was playing loudly, Tonina snapped, beat the hell out of him, and the grandmother tried to intervene and was attacked as well. Which is why she had scratches on arms, from Tonina, not DeAngelo. I think Tonina put him in the tub to drown at least an hour before she actually called the police, and cut up his shirt and a piece of shower curtain to try and come up with a story about someone else in the home. That is why Terry refused to help with CPR, she knew he was dead already. Also, the paramedics noted that both adults had dry clothes on. Leading me to believe they took him out the tub and changed clothes, and were probably standing there trying to come up with a plan before calling 911. Tonina's paranoia throughout the whole ordeal is her guilt clearly erupting from her conscience.

She likely has trouble holding a job and the mother i doubt could either. And yes it’s clear one of them killed that child and no that isn’t right. and yes it is scary to see people in these conditions but they need help not to be a constant babysitter. They seem very in denial about the mental health situation. I get well they don’t even have jobs vibes..”And i (i think schizophrenia too with the daughter. Not bipolar. She is delusional, not lying the entire time and her thoughts are scattered. The mom said she lives in her own world and is beyond concerned about who will care for her. The mother is dealing with all this has clinical depression and been hospitalized.

I am absolutely convinced that Tonina did it during one of her fits, the mother caught her, and they fought, which is how she ended up with the scratches that were used as evidence against Terry. She then manipulated her emotionally and psychologically vulnerable mother to take the fall, or even believe that it was Terry that did it. Tonina's story isn't consistent. Her sisters don't believe that she wasn't involved. Tonina never referred to DeAngelo with his name. She distanced herself from it. She has a gigantic victim complex and keeps making herself the victim of it rather than her nephew or her sister who just lost her son. She keeps talking about how it's affected her, rather than discussing anything about her sisters, or even her mother. She keeps painting her mother as suspicious, but not to the point where she'd seem like a bad daughter, because that would make her look like a bad person. When she's talking about the CPR during the second interview, she keeps talking about how she feels she could've saved him, which is a real thing, but this is not how guilt usually sounds like. She keeps talking about how everyone blames her. About how hard it is. The 911 call was so strange, she started up emotionless, and then became a hysteric, fake crying wreck. She deflects everything, avoids everything, and can't give clear or direct answers. Why would she have to insist that she's innocent and doesn't understand why people keep telling her that she's to blame for it, when the blame is already on her mother? She's overcompensating. Her nodding yes while trying to say no, then saying she doesn't sleepwalk even though she does, and it wasn't even answering the question. Fucking nothing lines up. The mother doesn't even remember. She just keeps repeating that she snapped, which is sounds more like she was told that rather than what really happened.

I don't for one minute think that Terry killed her grandson. Tonina did it. She was clearly unstable. She kept changing her story, and now during her interviews, she changes her story so much that nothing is consistent with her initial interviews. Grandma Terry was in shock. That much is clear. Why didn't she help with the CPR? She knew that he was dead. She knew that Tonina had done it. She was so horrified at what Tonina had done and the way she was carrying on with the CPR charade. Terry was also heartsick that she had somehow failed to protect the little boy she loved. Also heartsick, shocked, and horrified that her own daughter had murdered the little grandson. Tonina did it for sure. Even D'Angelo's parents know what happened. So does everyone else in the family. Grandma Terry is gone, now. We all should just pray to God that Tonina never gets the chance to murder or even harm another child, human being, or animal. She is UNSTABLE!

20 years ago my best friend's husband had a massive heart attack (he was 43) .. their 15 yo son called his mom, she told him to call 911 and she called me to rush over. I beat the rescue crews, but there was zero way I was going to allow that young man to do CPR on his dad 💔 While I was on the phone with 911, describing everything that was happening and how things were occurring during CPR I gave her son simple tasks like getting the dogs outside, collecting his dad's meds so the paramedics would know. I totally blamed myself for not saving my best friend's hubby 😢. Because according to what you see on TV CPR always works, right ? Paramedics worked on him for over an hour to no avail. When the medical examiner arrived and I had my friend's family at her side .. I had a moment to utterly break down 😢 The medical examiner took me aside and explained to me that h8s heart essentially exploded, he would have had to been in an operating room with his chest already opened if there ever would have been a chance to save him 😢 He also told me CPR only saves between 6-12% of individuals outside a hospital setting 💔 So please 100% do attempt CPR as soon as possible until the professionals arrive, but unlike me don't blame yourself if it ultimately fails 😢❤

@@unlisted9494 No, but maybe have some respect and call him by his name and also stop talking about herself again and again ... the question she asked the detective at the end of the interview was so cringe, I almost died. And the questioning about CPR etc. was because she wanted to hear again how well of a job she did there .... sure she never did the CPR. She is full of shit and evil

Oh god the interviewer was so patient with Tonina. The amount of times I yelled at her to shut up 😂😂 You said 15 times already that you feel like it's your fault, you're putting doubt in your own answers with "Why would someone do that? But thats what happened. Why would that be what happened?"
No one is asking how you feel. They're asking what happened. Just get a lawyer and make it stop, please.
    She definitely did it.

You know what else is gross and ugly? Tonina.

Tonina definitely did it and her mom took the blame. She’s dropping hints throughout. The dream she had, her talking about how her mom doesn’t use scissors, how D’Angelo’s shirt was cut off, how she found fibers in the bathtub, the reference to the Eminem song, & how she speaks positively about her Mom since she’s protecting her.

After watching this weirdness, I had my husband watch it, too. We were discussing how it certainly looks like Tonina probably did it, and my husband blurted out the likely motive: DeAngelo cut something of Tonina's and she got angry. She cut his Spiderman shirt because he cut something she had sewn, then she drowned him. She said it herself: "Who would cut something like that??" Though she was talking about the shirt (or was it the shower curtain?) she was likely projecting, and she said herself that she had lots of scissors laying around.

      Yes! Same thought here.
Tonnia killed "a little boy"/"my nephew"/"the boy"/"my sister's nephew", because he cut something she liked. She got mad and even.
And the mom doesn't want to lose yet another family member, so she keeps her mouth shut.
Also, I think Tonina is dominating her mother.

I grew up the next town over from Clinton Township and the apartments there have never ever been a place that you would want to live. One of my close friends mentally handicapped sisters and her 7 year old daughter were assaulted ( in the way you can’t talk about on here ) and deleted. To this day they still have not solved the case and this was over ten years ago. I took my daughter who was a week old and moved as far north as I could and never looked back at stories like these just cement my opinion as to the reason why we left.
