Just built one and it works great. I used a container tall enough that I could drill two holes in line in the paddle and can clean two balls at the same time. Cost was about $4.50. Thanks for a great idea.
JunkMan341 Not necessarily. I picked up a portable table saw and a miter saw for $50 at a yard sale. I was given a new Dewalt router for Christmas and you can always make a router table. Instead of buying a large bandsaw you can pick up a cheap scroll saw and do most everything he used the bandsaw for. And the drill press was maybe $250 new depending on what it is. I picked mine up for $20 a couple months back. Pawn shops aren't a bad place to start to get into the hobby but don't be afraid to walk out if they want way too much for something. Usually they want tools gone ASAP so make an offer and take it or leave it.
Isn't it grand to have all the right bench tools (thousands of dollars worth), to create such a perfect ball holder handle. Hooray !! Now how about making it for six balls, eight, maybe more. Perhaps a whole six-pack of brush fitted jars in a tray with the handles holding multiple balls, fitted to a crank type lever powered by a lawn mower engine... naahh, maybe just a bicycle sprocket and foot pedals... Hmmm, you get your pedaling workout and clean balls at the same time... woohoo!!! Now there's a ball cleaner for ya, huh?
Or once the Port-A-Ball, portable golf ball washer which can be seen at For Sale By inventors website is launched, you can buy one in the retail stores for $34.95
