Thing of note In Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, the CO DOES enter the battlefield by paying half the cost of the unit while on a base (The CO will inhabit that particular unit). DoR has different mechanics where the CO bonuses only apply in a range around the unit they inhabit and the range increases with more of their CO gauge. When they use their power, their bonus (and CO power if applicable) is applied to all of their units. CO Units also get a 20% buff in attack and defense on top of that. It's this reason why Tabitha is feared in DoR because she gives units a 30% attack and defense buff but she has a range of 1 but this essentially gives the unit she inhabits a 50% buff in attack and defense, making that particular unit very powerful as well as giving her one of the most powerful CO Powers in the game (The power itself drops a 5 space wide 3 damage bomb on the enemies like Sturm) and gives her entire army the 30% buff. Sadly, there hasn't been a new Advance Wars game since Days of Ruin.
