When we see conditions like that, we put a few less yards on each truck so they can get around better or at least they are not as hard to deal with when they get stuck.
This seems like the really hard to do this. GOMACO Concrete Slipform Paver would be the way to go in my opinion. Trucks only go on the prepared road bed.
Man I was sitting on the edge of my seat biting my nails I own a ready mix plant in Selma Alabama and that was like watching a horror movie! When I saw the first video and seven trucks stuck my heart sank to my feet then when I heard that they where 5 hours old I really got nervous.
Donald Holbrook now y’all have some black slickers mud up there. Used to hunt in marion and I’ve been stuck on hard ground there. To this day if I see cedar trees growing I park on the road
After all the trucks getting stuck , why didn't they have a D6 on site with a big winch on pulling each truck to it's correct position as the pour moves along ? it's the GC's responsibility to have evaluated the problems and BEEN PREpared for contingencies given the soil conditions !
Is your hopper big enough to dump into with a skid steer bucket. They could have carried some of the truckloads in with it before it got too old and dumped it in your pump
I’ve been doing it not much longer than you. I have found that getting mad and throwing a fit doesn’t help matters. Plus I even start looking like a bigger jackass than i already am. Lol
Have you ever had problems not being able to pump colored mud? I hate it. I use a mounted schwing... not sure which model (I’m new to this company) and if it’s anything under a 9 slump it’s like wet sand and it will not pump. I have to break open the hopper, drain it, blow out the lines, and wet it up to a 9 for it go through the lines. Any suggestions. We do a lot of work for a builder that LOVES colored mud (not dye, but the powder bags of color) thanks muddy. Love your videos. Just subscribed
Thanks for subscribing. Usually coloring makes it easier. It usually acts as a lubricant for us. I would check your sand and rock weights. Also check how much cement they are adding Those are the 3 key elements to making pumping easier. The color shouldn’t make any difference.
Muddyfeet Concrete Pumping thanks for following up. I’ll definitely take that into consideration next time I pump for that builder. Take care and stay healthy in these crazy times -Q
how many cases did you need for the drinking game?? as a mixer driver, if I don't trust the access road to the pump, I walk it first. When I think the ground wouldn't be able to carry 110.000 lbs( yes, in the netherlands we can and will) I notify the GC and let him take care of it. If he doesn't or won't I call the dispatcher at the plant and simply leave the site.
That’s the thing, walking where they wanted us to drive it really felt fine. But their where these pocked that just didn’t have a bottom to them. It was kinda crazy.
Why no front discharge trucks out there.??We lock every thing in a I’ve walked through mud up to the fenders no exaggeration. Our company was owned by 4 concrete wall companies and the rest publicly traded. Before U.S. concrete bought us.The Wall companies pushed us around with dozers, told us to get a running start from paved roads in as far as we could and we’d say yes sir. Once off the pavement. They are responsible for all damage and recovery. I had 37 years in a truck before retirement. All these mixer guys look young. No offense to them. I learned from all the old guys when I started.Your pump drivers know they’re stuff and are patient. Our guys would be screaming waiting for concrete.Especially that late at night.Nobody goes home till a job that big is done. We had big chains we carried and pulled each other out. I’ve had to dump 10 yards on the ground to get out of a basement once…..Sorry babbling. Not a lot of companies doing big jobs on YT. A couple but not with sense of humor or aren’t yelling at laborers and being dicks to guys that don’t deserve it. Call the concrete dispatcher. Chew his ear off lol. He’s sitting in a AC office. Laborer just busted his ass for 12-14 hrs.
Railroad ties are bulkier and heavier. I’m not sure of the strength rating either. I use to could have told you what a 4x6 was rated at but I would have to look it up. But they are rated for more than enough.
the volumetric truck has two other axles that will take him from 10 tires on the ground to 14 on the ground and if he weighed 80K he would go from a contact patch of 8k per tire to 5.7K per tire. Why didn't he put his axles down to keep from getting stuck
As crappy as the soil is there you would think there would be some oak mats floating around. I bet the mats would have been cheaper then wasting so much concrete. Have you ever pumped into a slipform machine? That street could have been done in a day with a slipform machine.
@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping The bad thing about Texas is they want all their rebar on chairs so they would still need to load the concrete from the side of the street. There is an auger in front and spreads the concrete to each side from the middle. It would also pour a curb also. how wide was the street? 36'? They have a spreader that the trucks dumpt into and conveys they mix to the middle of the machine. I have also seen them use a bridge deck machine that rides on the forms to pour a street also.
I don't understand you got a backhoe there why don't you hook that backhoe to the trucks where they can get to go where they need to go I'm from Missouri so we deal with some mud and usually on our job sites there's usually an excavator or high lift there to help us out to push the trucks in where they need to go especially the excavators they just pick up the rear end it just push them around like they're nothing
Can't understand WHY the GC didn't order about 30 triaxles of rip-rap first before trying again, after getting 5-6 trucks stuck yesterday. Insanity.... doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result????? AND why in Gods name aren't they using a power screet vs having 3 or 4 guys standing around?
Jus subbed after this was recommended, watched it thought was good content never seen before. Keep at it muddy feet.
Thank you!
New to your channel I pumped about 15 years retired know tough job hard work long hours, enjoying so far.
Thank you!
When we see conditions like that, we put a few less yards on each truck so they can get around better or at least they are not as hard to deal with when they get stuck.
Joe Pfeiler that’s an excellent idea. Taking A couple of yards off probably would have made all the difference in the world.
Love your upbeat music in your videos 😁
Great channel u got here. Will definitely keep watching.
Thank you!
NC concrete guy, great channel, subscribed for sure.
I know it's not your call but they could have put a road to you cheaper than the mess they had. Very expensive learning lesson. Great video.
Who knew concrete pumping was so entertaining 🤔 new series on concrete truck mudding👍
TheEquipmentking no kidding it’s better than watching paint dry. Lol
I find it quite entertaining!! Looking forward to more videos👍
TheEquipmentking thank you !

Rusty got huevos!! That is funny.
Martin Munoz they where making fun of that truck earlier saying it didn’t have any balls. Lol.
What a tremendous job your company does
Thank you!!!

Oh yeah. They backed that one truck up to us to use our water. He had ran out. I didn’t want to see them loose any equipment. Thanks for watching!
Donald Holbrook now y’all have some black slickers mud up there. Used to hunt in marion and I’ve been stuck on hard ground there. To this day if I see cedar trees growing I park on the road
All that and money too. You guys are earning it
Greg Stone we need sunshine.
What are all of the tarps hing all over your pumper truck, lolll nice 👍, BigAl California.

I hate job sites like that.
They KNOW they got trucks getting stuck....yet they WON'T bring in gravel !!!
....just drink beer.
Great videos. How did you get your truck out?
I think it would of been easier to bring the second pump and pump into the first pump. It would save time and fighting the mud.
Jeremiah C I did suggest that at one point.
Is your hopper big enough to dump into with a skid steer bucket. They could have carried some of the truckloads in with it before it got too old and dumped it in your pump
No it’s not that wide
front discharge with 6x6 would be a great redi-mix truck like we have up here in WISCONSIN
I’ve been told that
Same here in Tennessee
I only know of one guy that runs front discharge here in Ontario stubbies
@@stephenbinkley his phone must be ringing non stop, I only know one guy not running them in my area, so much better
I think I have similar humor as you but I don’t have the patience you do to deal with all those stuck trucks. Even after 10 years of pumping
I’ve been doing it not much longer than you. I have found that getting mad and throwing a fit doesn’t help matters. Plus I even start looking like a bigger jackass than i already am. Lol
If they found it hard reversing why not get a load of road plates or a load of mud mats to run on

Just wondered use trucks instead of pumping? Thanks

Dark mud is treacherous, it gives the impression of being solid and with a heavy load ..... no chance.
Martin Munoz the ground was definitely deceiving.

I think a few good fronts would be helpful on that one
Definitely need some sunshine
good
Wouldn't have cheaper and faster to use a concrete paver like when the build a highway lane just curious sir
Johnny South I’m not sure what the cost of a paver is. I’m sure they looked into it. But I don’t know.
Looks like cheap labor only Mexicans would be dumb enough to pour like that.
the wood ur using how would those compare to using railroad ties besides the thickness

@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping oh ok thought I'd ask
I wonder how much finishers are other places? $250 for 8 hrs in DFW
Yeah I’ve never heard how much they make.
20 years ago I got 150.00 with my trowel machine.
How long a job like this usually takes? Or average day2day?
If they could have poured the whole project I’m guessing 6 hours give or take.
need a dozer to level it out lay down stone simple

I not the one to ask that question to. But thanks for watching!
Generally those extra axles are not powered and don’t help in mud
Ha Ha Ha your gonna have to start your drinking game every time you have a wild hog jump out of your traps 😆 🤣

Brian Gardiner no I haven’t pumped into on. Does sound like an easier way to pour a street though.

Brian Gardiner we have pumped into one of those before on a job I did a few years ago.
For sure!
maybe a few loads of ballast would have worked
Must've been a 30yd/hr dispensing capability Volumetric Truck. 60yd/hr Trucks can keep up way better with boom pumps
I’m not sure but they are ok for our trailer pump. It would have been better if we could have gotten 2 at a time to us.
I don't miss pumping...especially on line jobs. 4" line, yuck!
bnjmnwtt I sold my 4” stuff about a year after I started pumping. All 3” now.
You need a telebelt for your operation
I want argue against that
looks like a pumper feeding pumper show would have been cheaper
Mr Fixit lol, funny you say that.....there’s another good one coming.

They should have spread lime and mixed it in the dirt! Problem solved!!
I think after the last bad experience they would build you a road
Chad Langley I’m waiting to see.
Hoy Many yds are there on that street
Angel Anaya I think around 400 total

We get told "We got in and out with the dump truck just fine" because most people have no idea that a mixer is a whole different story
Man id hate to see the bill for that job
Sam Gerus you know that’s right
😧
Lol. Do you work in the concrete industry?
