I love your channel and your down to earth way of presenting every day dairy farm life. I grew up on a dairy farm and your channel makes me so lonesome for that life again.
yes, according to country life only old people work, very few young people do anything at all. i think you need to get off the youtube and experience the world out there buddy.
Heck I’m out everyday but my job requires it,but i stay away from people when i can and have done that long before this so called virus thing started.. be safe in Seattle and stay sane. We’ll all get thru this..
Please be soooooo careful inside those silos... a young man with his whole life in front of him was killed inside a harvestore silo last November in Wisconsin doing exactly what you were doing. Please be careful and never ever ever do that alone. The world is desperate for people of your character and work ethic , Eric. Thanks for everything you do
you're telling him to be careful in the silo after he said in the video that one needs to be careful in the silo, i'm surprised you didn't give him a great tip to use a fan to blow fresh air in the silo.
The only thing better than watching a young farmer do farm work, and watching a young farmer drive a farm tractor in the field and on the road....is.....(wait for it).......watching a young farmer distribute "chocolate-milk-availability" throughout the various farm work-shop venues. Enjoy your content, love your farm, keep the nose to the grindstone. (yea-like a kid on Christmas with chocolate milk) The mountain dew takes a second-row seat to chocolate milk.
My FAVORITE CHANNEL- THANK YOU ‼️ Ask your Rep/ Inspector how to get that brand of Chocolate Milk in GEORGIA‼️ I can get them in ALL CLIPPER PETROLEUM STORES‼️ Glad to see you wear gloves more and mask! Proud of your welding skills‼️ Blessings to YALL- Tell dad 🙏 Thank You- I’m 65 and both my boys and Daughters were going to learn Stone Masonry/Concrete Business- but MS took me out before they were old enough‼️ Raised on Poultry, Egg, Hog, Cattle Farm and Hatchery long ago‼️ Masonry was easier‼️
Nasty silo, thank goodness it only has to be done occasionally. View from the top of the silo was pretty. Great to see the area greening up. Well done Eric.
We use to keep cutting our washing hose too until we switched to a fire hose! It was life changing and way more durable. Haven't had any issues with it now for almost 5 years or so. Well worth it!
I can't imagine a rubber to rubber connection for the oil filter. I love how you run from job to job through the day. I would never have the balls to go inside that silo, I admire your doing it. Great vid, Peace.
Amazing day of hustle from project to project! Eric, much thanks to your family for demonstrating what it takes to provide America with a constant supply of the kind of product that is so often taken for granted. Chocolate milk cheers to you! :D
That's one thing I can say about him here too hes dedicated to keeping the farm working cause the way he works cause on the vedios hes always gets it done on there
Thanks for the videos, I grew up on a farm, raised Holstein calves on a bottle. You never get it done, but being connected to the place where food grows is it's own universe. A lot of wisdom comes from the surprise lessons that are thrust upon you. I get to farm with you and I enjoy the time I spend visiting with you via UA-cam.
I just subscribed to your channel. You are very articulate and explain things well. At the end of your video, I was sooo jonesing for some cold chocolate milk. That was a very cool power move, but very sincere. Thanks for taking the time to share your life with me and others with these videos.
GoodJob Eric on the cleaning job I bet your father it's glad he has you to help out you are like a one-man working machine you never stop I had five girls no boys if I was your father and I'm sure he is I would be so proud of you thank you for a great video 👍🇺🇸
I’m studying to be a vet tech. And now after watching your videos for a while you sparked an interest in me working with farm animals and making sure they get the proper care and need to live a nice long healthy life.
Where to begin a true mechanic. “An inch and something “ Lol 😂 what a great milk inspector !! The overview from atop the silo was beautiful! Very very good video for sure 😊🚜
Great video! Seems kind of funny that we just changed the oil in our feed mixer tractor and so did you. Everybody must be doing spring maintenance around this time of the year
Eric, your videos are fantastic! I'm in Michigan and can't wait for things to green up around here. Thanks for posting such great videos, stay safe and healthy!
Hi I am new to your channel. So educational. Thank you for teaching us. I've always wondered what goes on on a farm. You are blessed with a great farm.
Great video and got to be safe in them bins, we pulled the chopper out of the bin and when is was clean we filled bags if saw dust and made a nice heep so the chopper would go back in when feeding started
Good evening, always a pleasure to view the wonderful content you put together for your followers. Very very interesting to watch your daily activities. Makes one wonder how you relax and goof off when you get time. Stay safe and get busy. Lol
I can imagine some farms have no debt load. The profit margin is less than most bank interest of 6%. Banks are making that because they think they in a risky business.
The seal always goes into the groove on filters. The reason the seal was on the tractor is because it was stuck. Happens alot on heavy equipment. Good luck and keep the videos coming
Hey Eric I love you videos I just started watching a couple weeks ago and I just finished your whole channel lol I'm dairy farmer in NY and I think you videos are great and helpful for informing people who want to learn more about dairy. I think it would be a cool video idea for you to talk about the farm some, the history, the generations, and where it's at now. Keep up the good work!
Awesome how you guys still use silos. I love them and everyone seems to hate them. But to each his own I guess. I like when I just flip a switch to feed :D
I have an intense fear of falling. Watching you climb up that ladder nearly did me in. I think I saw you crack a smile when you saw the chocolate milk. :)
At 14:45 you lost a washer. I suggest you keep a bag of washers and any other small parts the sprayer needs with you. Attach a small metal box to the sprayer to keep extras on hand. You don't want to tell Dad "For the want of a washer, I couldn't finish the job." Stay safe.
I can handle doing anything on a farm but going in silos or having to climb them. Afraid of heights and confined spaces. You are awesome flying up the silo steps and climbing inside. Be safe- and thanks for the great video !
Watching from Ireland, great vid,be very carefull with the methane gas in silos or when agitating slurry,,always have another person,it will knock you out without even knowing its happening.Gob bless farmers the world over.
Great video..Quick tip.. use clean engine oil to lube up the filter gasket. Like that you put service info on filter, I add the filter part number and engine oil capacity..
If you lube your o ring a little more with clean oil, the filter won’t stick on there that hard. Love the videos, keep them going, Watching from a hay production farm in Ohio
Cleaning out silos can definitely be a dangerous job. I work at an ethanol plant and we have to use oxygen monitors to make sure the atmosphere inside the silo is safe to breath. Keep up the videos. I have been enjoying them.
Hey boss I've been a subscriber from the start. I really liked the 2 seconds of footage from the top of the silo showing miles of horizon. You should show a little more of that
Another good one. Eric. I like how you do not present the work like its misery, like some I have seen. If you hate it, get a job! HAHA Nothing like Farm work when its your farm. It seems to buoy the energy level. Thanks Again.
I remember having to do that for high moisture corn, every year. Bottom 6” was always spoiled. Can’t say I ever remember doing it for haylage, but I don’t ever really remember that one being empty either.
Things are starting to green up nicely in your area. Watch you and Bikes and Beards channel and I believe both from Pennsylvania. Always surprised on both, how close many building are to the roads down there. Would make me a bit nervous moving large equipment around.
Thank you for all that you do and feeding America!!!!!
You got a good video of your farm you need to make new video for 2025

Eric is a fine young man who exemplifies what this nation needs more of.
I wish more young people worked like you the world would be a better place. Thanks for the videos.

Hello from a Frenchman watching your videos!
tip with putting oil filters on if you lube the gasket with oil it will make it easier to get the filter of when changing oil
Yup that's correct there now
Beat me to it
Also when tightening up he filter twist the filter back about 1/2 inch to relax the seal ring , it helps when taking off the filter
On my farm we use hundreds of filters a year and putting oil makes things go better.
Shouldn't it only be hand tighten too?
This young man knows what he is doing. Busy and hard work. Peace from SW Florida 😇!!

Cut off 6" of hose, split it long ways, then slip it over the hose and fix in place with another clamp to provide some wear and strain relief.
They sell a spring that can go over the end of the hose to stop that.
