When i was a kid i bought the hard to find re2 toys on ebay for my birthday. The seller slipped in the script George A. Romero made. And i was already into his movies so it was a great birthday.
Wow cool he had so many scripts written that were never made into film. Resident evil movie,Goosebumps movie, episodes for tales from the Darkside, also another undead sequel called Twilight of the dead.
I miss this man so much...his unmade movies are better than these crap made movies....that's sad, the greed of hollywood Paul W. S. Anderson isn't half the man Romero is, he dropped the ball completely in RE: Extinction
Dude if Romero’s movie was made he would have filmed it in Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh of course thus Raccoon city is in southwestern Pennsylvania and the arklays are the Alleghenies. Just a thought. I think it works personally. I think he got the cop drama element the first game had.
Damn shame... I was so disappointed when I saw the first RE movie, even more so when I found out George his scrip was actually going to follow the games.
if i had written the script for netflix resident evil this is how it would have looked jill and chris defeated the zomis and the virus and wesker his evil plans but he escaped hiding and everything is normal as chosen again everyone lives their lives as chosen again jill and chris have a daughter together and her name Rose and her friend go on a trip to a small island they have fun on their trip then everything happens again Wesker wants revenge on stars Jill and Chris fights with the zombies and wants to go to the island and find Rose
4:01 Correction: "It sold equally well in North American and Europe" (not just the UK). Or even better: "It sold equally well in NTSC areas and PAL areas." You make it sound like only North America and the UK exist on the planet besides Japan. Classic self-centred attitude, overlooking non-English speaking countries. And not a single mention of the HUGE influence the French game Alone in the dark had on the creation of Resident Evil, perhaps even bigger than the influence of Sweet Home and openly admitted by Shinji Mikami himself. Among many other things, the switch from FPS to third person perspective comes from Shinji Mikami playing Frédérick Raynal's Alone in the dark. Like he said, "Without Alone in the Dark, Biohazard would have been an FPS shooter game."
dont get me started on how angry i am they didn't let the FATHER OF ZOMBIES make the resident evil movie. its like when they cancelled silent hills. i went ape shet. ill never get over either of these things. he literally invented the zombies in the RE games but nope, lets get some POS hack do it and ruin all of it instead. i feel like if both projects happened though one of 2 things would happen: they would be the most amazing things ever that people would kill themselves over it or the worst things ever that it would have made the creators kill themselves. which is why they couldn't happen lol. romero was a genius too. he churned out the script then he'd tape all the footage then slap it all together in editing. it was fast and haphazard but it worked for him. it was all chaos until he went to edit, then it was a slow methodical process. when he was making dawn of the dead they had from like 10 pm to 4 or 5 am to film so he HAD to do it fast. that was how he did it though and it worked. i mean all of this info is in docu's about him n what not if you want better details. he'd always tell tom savini to think of deaths while doing make up or whatever else lol. i love their friendship so much, just 2 friends making movies together having fun doing it. thats what movie making was back then ya know. people with a passion and not corporations just wanting money. movies that have passion and love behind them are the best movies. with evil dead it was again just a group of friends making a movie like they used to in high school, except now they're older and have SOME money to make a real movie! that will be in theaters! and evil dead is one of the best movies of all time, not just for horror but in general. they came up with hilarious one liners they still use in evil dead movies today. which honestly makes me sad. corporations are using what was once a genuine funny line that just came about, to now make money. it has no soul to it anymore because its not genuine! its genuine in the OG movies because it was! lol. thats how i feel about remakes now and reboots. all the things they take from the OG ones mean nothing now because they're just being recycled by something and someone else. again its not genuine which makes me hate it. make up new funny things. oh wait you can't because you're a heartless corporation and not a unique individual with a dream and a passion for their craft, my bad.
I loved the 2021 RE movie, the Paul W. Anderson stuff was kind of bad but..... If George Romero did a Resident Evil film that would of been gold I think!
I've read the script. This would not have been a masterpiece. Why in the hell did Chris Redfield have a horse and why wasn't he a member of STARS? And why was he Native American? That's only the start of how weird that script was. I did kind of like the cyborg hunters.
I'm guessing the reason you never did a part two is because you actually read the script and realized it was the furthest thing from a masterpiece ever conceived.
@@Tony-1971 Most of the characters are there but weirdly changed. Chris is a random Native American guy with a horse, not a member of STARS. Wesker is a military colonel and not a STARS Captain. The hunters and tyrant are cyborgs. I think there were one or two new STARS guys in there...
My God dude! Why do u have to enunciate like that? I couldn't get past 2 min of this. I mean cool u made this I guess but fjck man whatever happened to speaking normally in videos 😆 everyone trying to sound like they are educated and shit. Thumbs up an a like cuz it's a romero piece
Capcom bending to Constantine films will and getting rid of Romero is the biggest sacrilege in creative history - next to James Cameron and the wachowski’s ripping off a black womans epic story of the machines. Constantine films should not be celebrated, they destroyed Resident Evil.

George A. Romero also wrote a script for a Goosebumps movie.
Wow cool he had so many scripts written that were never made into film. Resident evil movie,Goosebumps movie, episodes for tales from the Darkside, also another undead sequel called Twilight of the dead.
we need a movie or series of resident evil filmed in the way Romero would film it. Do it for him.
Where's part 2 my man? It's been almost a year!
I love resident evil
Amazing work, as always!
YES! Thank you for the video - Love Romero!
This made my Sunday. Thank you, Henry.
Man, I miss Romero.
Incredible work

RIP G.O.A.T. MR. GEORGE ROMERO
Hollywood should use George A. Romero style using A.I. to make Resident Evil 1-3 timeline films or TV series

Was there a Part 2?
love the new intro!
There’s someone making a comic book version of the George Romero script
Damn shame... I was so disappointed when I saw the first RE movie, even more so when I found out George his scrip was actually going to follow the games.
I'd never thought I'd see the day you'd talk about games...
Also, I'm two months late to this, lol
And let's all take a moment and realize... What we ended up with.... 😑
Wheres part 2
So uhh, no part 2?

Would have been better

He probably had more respect for the games than Paul W. Anderson does, how Capcom kept hiring him is a mystery.
sweet home Netflix series is Good

Have you read Romero's Resident Evil script? Because I have. It's one of the biggest pieces of dogshit I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Constantin Films ruined everything.
