Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥
Thanks for fix and turning on the comment box.👍
Now they got a metalverse but that's a more recent era so highly recommend to just wait to get there but in case you wanna know, they already released 5 singles from the new album "The Other One".
This is their breakout hit in 2014, either you hated or loved it, this MV got the highest amount of views on their channel, and fans were enjoying this song every night at Sabaton's Europe Tour and recently finished Asian and Australian Tour, is a hit they don't wanna miss in almost every live performance, hopefully you'll get the chance to see them live, don't miss out the opportunity to feel this experience, meanwhile a BM Wednesday sounds good to me.
Dance choreography and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythms, you'll have so much fun going through this journey.
This isn't actually live sound, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance.
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
    They are:
    *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 25.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 23.
*YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently.
    None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said.
This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for "Babymetal Death", but so far we don't know if they had bf back then, probably not since they got a lot of work to attend instead of private relationship, just like nowadays.
Some recommendations for next songs like:
    - _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official.
    - _Catch Me If You Can_ live at Budokan 2014 (you got a safe to react version with subtitles at GuilhermeCait channel) or...
    - _Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!_ live at this same live performance Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title).
You have more than 50 songs and still more to come. Amuse their label is very hard to deal so if you want to avoid copyright blocked you have *Babymetal Reactor Resource* channel you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them.
    See you next time! 🦊🤘🍫

BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began.
All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents.
Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result.
At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia).
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine.
They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these for a start.

At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.

Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 'Gimme Chocolate' is not typical of their work - and yet in many ways it is. It is the song that went viral and got them noticed, but that is mainly for the shock value and that it makes peoples' brains melt. It can go either way and is not the song I would recommend to anybody as the first thing they hear from them. I am glad that you are open to exploring more - you will struggle to find another song quite like it.
Also this is the official video, so the audio is from the studio ... BABYMETAL are so much better live (as I hope you will discover for yourself).
They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last, they have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix and blend so many other styles and genres with the metal. Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between.
BABYMETAL are pretty much unique in that they invented their own genre and their own way of doing things. Do not try to categorise them as just one thing or to put them in any one box. You will not be able to predict them, just expect the unexpected. They don't copy anybody or follow the same format as nearly every other band (as you saw for a start they have brought choreographed dance to metal). They also have some of the best musicians to be found in Japan backing them up (more on them later). Nobody has been able to do what BABYMETAL do (some have tried, none came close).
BABYMETAL are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and, since the start of April this year, Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in).
The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues.
After Yui left Su and Moa continued as a duo for the next 4-5 years through to their 10th anniversary and a bit beyond, supported by 3 dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) taking turns dancing in the third spot. Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020 and was finally revealed as the official new third member on 1st April this year.
They started in 2010 as one of several sub-units of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin which was set up by the Amuse talent agency as a way to coach and train about a dozen of the most talented girls on their books in all aspects of entertainment (singing, dancing, acting, modelling, writing, stage management etc) with a view to their choosing how they would like to continue their career when they were at school leaving age (15 in Japan).
BABYMETAL was the pet project of one metalhead producer who was inspired to experiment with this fusion of Metal with JPop aesthetics after seeing Su-metal singing with her previous JPop trio and being very impressed with her no holds barred singing style and stage presence - she was only 10 or 11 at that time. He pictured her fronting a metal band and got his chance to work with her when her previous group ended and she joined Sakura Gakuin.
In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right.
BABYMETAL have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too.
Early on they did not have enough budget for a live band and the guys in skeleton suits (called Babybones) who you saw in this video would go on stage just for show, miming the instruments to pre-recorded backing tracks (Su-metal's singing is always live). They were phased out bit by bit after it had been decided BABYMETAL would split from Sakura Gakuin, so a live band (I will tell you about them in a moment) played at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows from October 2012. This video was filmed at the last big concert (Legend 1997 in December 2013 - the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday ... she was born in 1997, this was her birthday party) where the Babybones appeared - the live band (the Kami Band) came on for the last 5 songs.
They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. There are many people who have played in the Kami band as they all have their own bands or other commitments and they swap in and out depending on their availability, but the same hard core of about 6 musicians have played the vast majority of concerts and they are the ones you will see in most live performance videos.
The Kami Band became the full time support for all live shows at the start of 2014 and have been with BABYMETAL ever since - but only for live shows, they do not record the studio versions.
The Kami Band of the West - American musicians - have supported BABYMETAL in the more extended foreign tours since 2019.
BABYMETAL are best experienced live. Even they say so themselves. Jake Muller has given you great suggestions for the next songs for you to react to ... with any luck we will take you right through their whole catalogue in time, there is not a bad song in there (you may like some more than others of course).

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they are currently on a world tour that includes many dates here in the USA, and released a new amazing album just a couple months ago! 🤘🦊🤘

A better description for this genre? They call it kawaii (cute) metal. BABYMETAL is the name of the band.
Do they have boyfriends? We don't know. They keep their private life private. Japanese idols are contractually forbidden to be seen in public with someone they might be romantically involved in. Then again, female Japanese idols are expected to retire at age 25. The oldest of them is 25 now (16 in the video) and she won't retire anytime soon.

They're like 25 now. I'm sure they're all married with children. But nobody knows. Their private lives are guarded better than military secrets. Tickets can still be had for the Seattle show. I am guessing you live in Portland or Eugene.

I actually hate the mindset that everything japanese is weeb or anime. How in the world is a japanese metal band considered anime? or weeb? Its a great band ffs

The “WTF did I just watch” reaction is typical among first-time BABYMETAL viewers. A lot of their songs tend to get that reaction. Should you decide to continue your journey down the BABYMETAL foxhole, you'll find great songs, good songs and ones that aren't so good, you'll find triumph (Sonisphere 2014) and tragedy (the departure of Yuimetal in 2018 and the unfortunate death of Mikio Fujioka, guitarist of the BABYMETAL backing "Kami Band"), you'll find Black BABYMETAL (BBM), and you'll find that although BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal"), they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made metal FUN!. They have only a bit over sixty songs and you're sure to find most of them quite entertaining. I will be the first to agree with the One that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they have several music videos that are real works of art and definitely worth looking into (“Doki Doki Morning”, “Iine!”, “Megitsune”, “Karate”, and “BxMxC”. In my opinion, those are BABYMETAL’s best MV’s - so far!).
I've compiled what I consider to be BABYMETAL's top twenty songs/videos here on UA-cam; it contains both live performances and the above mentioned music videos. I sincerely hope that you consider reacting to them all (except "Gimme Chocolate!!" - one down, nineteen to go) ua-cam.com/play/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj.html
I recommend that you start at the top of the list and work your way down: it starts with the very first MV they did (2012) and moves forward to 2019. I should mention that I cannot guarantee that reacting to these videos won't be blocked but with some creative editing that shouldn't be a problem.
BABYMETAL recently released their fourth album “The Other One”. I would strongly recommend that you react to their earlier work before delving into this last album: in my opinion, the contrast is striking.
Finally, I suggest that you avoid compilation and fancam videos like the plague: compilation videos are, in my opinion, an insult to both the viewer and the band; the music is certainly overdubbed, and the changes in venue and costumes (sometimes even personnel) can be confusing if not completely annoying. Watching a BABYMETAL compilation video is like eating prime rib after somebody else chewed it. You won't be reacting to BABYMETAL, you'll be reacting to a highlight reel of BABYMETAL. And fancams generally have terrible quality and sound thus being basically a waste of time.
    Sorry about the wall!
Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!)
    KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction.
BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) from when a child.
The agency they work for is the largest entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress.
And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician. This is because it is very rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance and a high singing ability.
There are many videos of her singing from when she was in elementary school on UA-cam.
BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old).😀
When Babymetal song is voted in popularity by Japanese, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place.😀
