Just as a science graduate I'd like to kinda correct the assumption you make,
Science can't explain questions like "why" for that matter science does not explain "why life exists" or "why universe exists" it just explains possible phenomena or process that lead to the creation.
Questioning "why" assumes that there is a purpose for it to exist but that's not the case always.
+chaitanya vegi correctly said.. Science can explain HOWs of any phenomenon not WHYs.. like how did life start on earth or how universe is made............. :P
chaitanya vegi , but it can be possible via advancment in our technology as , if we can know about our starting point of everything .....
we have a great mind also who able us to questioning on everything that we observe and realize .........
we are the also a part of universe that we know about everything as we made up of those things energy or particals that are actually exist from the time of begining , we are not the new things as we think , we are just the arrangement of that previous think , we are also a pointed universe ....
we don't know why we have a great brain and mind but it occurs certainly and unfortunately , themselves in a natural world ..
if these all things exist unfortunately , suddenly in a proper way then everything is possible because , we don't control the universe but universe control everything even our life and many things ...

dark matter was postulated in 1930s. not centuries
The placebo effect. It is the effect when for eg people are given a fake medicine and are told that it is real, they'll tell that they are feeling better. Scientists have yet to find an explanation for it.
Don't know much but I think it's something related to the subconscious mind(honestly just a wild guess).😅

Title should be "Things science can't explain YET." Science couldn't explain a lot of things a few centuries ago but it can do it now.

Diabetes a disease or malfunction of body no body knows why this happen to any body but pharmaceutical companies making millions around the world... Here 's what I think :
The reason why the atmosphere of sun is more hot that the surface is because - we all know that the sun is made up of hydrogen and helium 's compressed atoms, as a result the atoms have lesser space to move, this resulting in lesser kinetic energy than the atoms in the atmosphere which are less tightly compressed, and the kinetic energy of molecules is directly proportional to temperature or hotness or coldness of a body.

I have observed my brother when he was growing and just started learning how to write,there i observed he could able to write by both the hands but later my mother forced him to write by right hand. From then he become lefty. Then I asked my mom that had she done this to me too,and she said yes. So from this I can say it depends upon our convenience when we were learning how to write and which hand to prefer for that.
Dark matter and dark energy are some of the most mind boggling things that we are yet to find....dark matter is that "invisible" matter that we can't see with our telescopes (it doesn't interact with any electromagnetic radiation), but their presence is seen from the gravitational effects. On the other hand dark energy is something that causes the universe to expand in an accelerating manner with time...Well I just wanted to convey some information that I am familiar with...

Some other interesting things not explained by science - ball lightning, psychology of laughter, need for sleep, dreams, near-death experiences, psychic abilities.

Dark matter is a hypothesis. It was observed that the rate of expansion of the Universe was constant no matter where we measure the rate. And also in 19th century, it was observed Mercury doesn't revolve around the Sun in a fixed orbit. Dark matter was created to explain these kind of phenomena. However Modified Newtonian Dynamics is another postulate which can explain and predict them better. MOND just says that there is a slight variation in Newtonian acceleration. So, there you go, dark matter might not be real at all!!

I'm semi ambidextrous lol, I can write with both hands, usually I use my right hand for tasks that involve movement of the arm (like table tennis and badminton) and my left hand for tasks that require a lot of finger/wrist movement (like typing and freting chords on stringed instruments)

I'm a left hander. none of my family is left handed,but my great grand mother is! I was taught that there is genetic basis , probably autosomal recessive I remember ,so until both the parents have that recessive gene there are no chances of getting left handedness,if u want to know more,read about pattern of autosomal recessive inheritance

The first thing which comes to my mind is that of Photosynthesis, which plants do it easily.. combining CO2 and H2O using light to carbohydrate. Hmmm difficult to replicate on lab :)
As you mentioned the dark matter, there is one more unknown, the dark energy. It's the most dominating candidate of the universe, as the data suggest. It's the one that's believed to be responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. Many models of the dark energy exits, but no proper, well established theory.

Hello Lady ! I shall add my take on your video - Left handed and right handed is hereby explained - Since in most people the left side of the brain controls speaking, right-handedness predominates. This theory also predicts that left-handed people have a reversed brain division of labor. Most of the grass eating animals face the wind while grazing so that they can smell the predator ! About sun? You said it yourself - it's too hot so many mysteries remain unanswered. Roughly 80% of the mass of the universe is made up of material that scientists cannot directly observe so it's called - dark matter.

So, that's is the biggest reason behind this just like when any of the solar flare is interact with our earth atmosphere so, this pole helps to protect and showing the beautiful lights in night it's pink, light green and some times violet colours in sky
Biggest question how big is the universe? If this universe can be imagined of a particular size then what lies beyond it ? Can we imagine that something is of a infinite size? Scientists are not able to explain.

Dark matter is the difference between theoretical and the practical (known) mass(or cause of the space-time distortion in Einsteinian way ) of the universe. It does not have to be made of anything it could be just a anomaly which in near future(I hope) we can explain

Nice Video but I differ with you on dark matter! But Dark Matter is not something mysterious but an intricate topic. If you consider a simple analogy, Dark matter is like something which holds everything in this universe. It is like a ring master who binds everything you can think of. You must have heard some vague sounds when you change channels on radio, that sounds are actually CBR (Cosmic Background Radiation) and yes you actually hear the sound produced in space through your radio. So CBR is a proof of dark matter. This is not anti matter as most people confuse it with. Dark matter doesn't absorb and reflect light. You may see Crash course astronomy for more facts.
