the way i think, google is just personalizing stuff for us collecting recollecting anything related to us and trying to build a world where anyone who goes online will stay not because he/she had to but because he/she will want to.
indeed Google/FB etc. do end up subconsciously forcing us to over buy products, that's why the more need for self-moderation in this age of social media!

whatever you search on google isn't really in google database, it's just a search engine there is and a search algorithm by google which just filters out all the webpages.
