my 4k system costing £6k to install took 7 years to pay back. I export 72% . My fit tariff started Dec 2016
If you are paying £9.5k for 4kWp system, you are getting ripped off. Also export rates can be upto 15p/kWh. Payback should around the 5 year mark.

There is no increase in insurance costs and hail has not damaged my panels.
