I have no idea why you only have 21k subs your legit THE best saltwater aquarium UA-camr it makes no sense. You are doing great don’t ever stop 🛑.
justryback38 because he isnt a fake jolly crowd pleaser. He’s real & straight up & Some ppl dont like that.
Sounds about right
😂😂😂
@@FishOfHex what type peppermint shrimp is it? L wurbani?
Yay! A brand new video!
Thank you sir, it was nice to see these berghia nudibranch in action. I am looking forward to eradicating the aiptasia in my tank!
Peppermint shrimp took care of the problem for me and still are thriving long after the aphasia is gone
Do they go after zoas? I plan on feeding them after they eat all the aiptasia
I put one in and it ate the smaller ones but it didn't bother to eat the big one :(
Thanks! I've just started my first and I have a few tenny tiny Aipasia in the tank.
i have very small aptasia to what should i do
So true. I swear aptasia is nearly inevitable! I love nudis for control
Peppermint shrimp have worked for me for a few years now. Thanks for a tech. version 👍🏻
Great video Travis. The wand and nudibranchs did the job. I need to pick up the wand when I start up again. 👍😊
I used the wand to get pieces of aptasia floating in tank, this got the attention of my newly purchased filefish. Once they got a taste aptasia was history
wand only works if you can get to the base. The needle tip is fragile though, so really only works when you find them on a flat surface. NUDIBRANCHS take forever. Best just to use F-aptasia
even if i'm italian and i don't understand very well what you say you can with the images explain concepts that i didn't know yet ... thanks and keep it up ... you're great
I have these green mushrooms which are like a cancer... do you think a wand like this would kill them? Or any other ideas on how to rid them?
Will the majano wand work on undesirable palys?
Where can we order the nudibranch from?
thanks for the info
Sold out everywhere. Does anyone have any leads on where I can buy? It’s not even on eBay.
great vid keep'em coming my good man. nudi's rule lol
You don't like Aiptasia-x -x ? that always works for me I go months before needing more treatment.
Im sure it's only a matter of time before I get this but thanks for the info for the future
Neither method worked for me. The wand seemed to promote the aptasia emitting some spores and overran my tank in a couple of weeks with a huge population of apasia. I tried the nudibranchs also several time to no avail. Also, I tried lasers, fun, but just like the wand, it seemed to cause the apasia to emit spores. Also, the mechanical methods, wand or laser can only take care of what is in view. My best weapon was an Aussie Copperband.
Do crabs eat the nudis?
What kinds of lights are over your algae? Is that UV?
Peppermint shrimp has always worked for me at a 1/3 of the price as the Bergia. I added 500 dollars worth of bergia and never saw them and my aptasia population was untouched.
Just my 2 cents.
Peppermints eat my coral in the frag tank not worth the risk
FishOfHex Aquatics
Wow. I have never had that issue. What do they tend to eat. I have 25 in my sps reef with a few spas and lps.
zoas, acans most of the time
FishOfHex Aquatics
Thanks for the reply. I’ll keep a lookout. I don’t have any scans but do have zoas. Guess I’m lucky that I have never had an issue, or I have never noticed one.
I need a load of these. Any ideas where I can get them from in the UK?
Where can you get that wand
What are the little critters called that eat the Aiptasia again please?
Nudis... hmm Zoa buffet.
I use Aiptasia X, work very well.
I hate that aiptasia x I struggle to keep up killing them I use aiptasia x and more pop up
Those nudis are pretty cool that they only eat aptasia.
Very informative thanks
I had it growing under my gsp, I used uncured rock because I am an impatient noob. Now the gsp has been closed for about a month now and I’m looking for a plan to try and save it. It’s almost a saucer plate size star polyp and I will cry if it dies
Bought that wand and totally fell apart in a few months. Treated it very fragile and the wires were really cheap and the insulation started to move and let water get in. Just did not last and if they do not get totally killed they grow back.
Got ya self a new sub
So it disintegrates the aiptasia on contact? Where can I get that wand? Thanks
Does this work on GSP / Anemone in general?
Great video
I used the wond never again it made the problem 100000000 times werse I now have nudiz to try and sort when you attack it it sends off millions of eggs
That was epic!
How do you identify those nudibranchs from others, some that are potentially harmful. Occasionally I see in process of dipping coral some nudis that come off that might look like burgs. Any way to identify the good ones?
File fish,! Cleared mine in a matter of days
Update on this video please! I'm sure you have learned more and have more to share
What about a file fish? I heard that they work good?
Yea they work but you should be quarantine it first. So that another 30 days to wait
File fish do a good job. You just need one. They need time to acclimate. Mine took 45 days after arrival before he started eating aiptaisa. Then he mowed it down within one week. He loves Formula One and Spectrum New Life pellets more than mysis shrimp.
Try a copper banded butterfly fish, cleaned out my tank of Aiptasia in a week and looks really pretty too
I use a 3w laser
Is there a way to know if there is enough Aiptasia for the nudibranchs to stay alive
I only use them if i see 10 or more or they are to hard to kill with the wand
Have you ever used aiptasia x by Red Sea. I have it and it works pretty well but is really hard to take out the small ones
I have never aptasia but I do have an infestation of mushroom corals. Would that wand work to kill mushroom corals?
I dont think it will work on a mushroom
I’ve got aptaisa in my sump :(
From where do you order your berghia?
Simple Google search many vendors who sell them.
Usually used epo putty to kill aiptasia
Great info . Never seen the wand method before. Frag tank looking good..
Thank you
Shrimp dancer simple and cheap method and best of all natural finds them anywhere and end up with pests
Is the clown in your frag tank in quarantine? Can you quarantine fish in a frag tank?
btw that wand also makes chlorine gas just sayin
F Aiptasia?
👍👍
the wand method is not a good idea. I used it in the past and it made things worst. this is an example of hidden advertisement.
Worked for me with zero issues
Try fire, lots of fire
