Ppl have to remember at this time will smith did a movie with Whoopi Goldberg and her daughters best friend.. he was also in 5 degrees of separation movie. And fresh prince… ppl didn’t think will smith could play a role like mike lowry …
Wait, Martin & Korey just recently watched this, that blows my mind.
I am going to be honest. I really like Michael Bay's movies from the 90s, including the first Bad Boys. They are like B movies with a budget that are stupid fun to watch.
Loved the first one
Bad boys is like if Axel Foley n Action Jackson was on the same team together mixed with rush hour n lethal weapon n also 48 hours lol🙏😎😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Holy shit that’s accurate
@@AstonishinglyVon o yeah I think so too lol ,🙏😎😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tea Leoni dropped an Action Jackson reference in the movie
XD
I was very young at 11 years old when this dropped but was fan of both Martin Tv show and Fresh Prince. So had to wait for home video but I was blown away by the action and Humor once it came to blockbuster video. Also the score is very underrated. It was composed by Mark Mancina who did the music for Speed.
I think conair more so gets the nod in hindsight due to the cast
You keep giving critics this higher power
I kinda said something similar. Black people (the ones I know anyway) don't gaf bout what a critics says. Especially back then. Word of mouth and trailers is what we went by.
Preach! This was our Lethal Weapon lol
Some of the critics were harsh on "Harlem Nights" I always thought that movie was funny and entertaining, to each their own 🤷♂
@@charlesnotch3863our who? Lethal Weapon is for everyone
Korey and Martin are movie critics. Clearly why.
I know how Martin feels. My name is Patrick. If I had a dollar for every time I got asked about Spongebob...
They weren't that wrong! it was always a Beverly Hills Cop knock off riffing on Tony Scott style and tone. Beverly Hills Cop just did it better smarter and funnier.
Tèa Leoni...
Her voice was understated in the 1st movie...
It was Part of the Character.
Small ....but as You All said ;
The movie's success was the Sum of many parts. 👌 👍🏿
Bad Boys is lowkey turning into one of the great film franchises of all time.
I was like Korey and Martin. Never really watched the first movie lol. IMO it’s an ok movie lol. Just had that Star power from a young will with and Martin Lawrence at that time. On another note, where’s Chris?
Y’all should review bad boys 2 that’s the best one
Do you guys think you could do Set It Off
28:14 damn that's so 90s backstreet boys shot 😂😂
Martin and Korey make sure to go listen to the Soundtrack to Bad Boys (1995) too. That was also a part of greatness of the movie. Diana King's Shy Guy and Tupac's Me Against The World 🔥🔥🔥.
Went to see this with very low expectations. Martin and Fresh Prince as badass? Yeah right....
Damn I was so wrong afterwards. This film was amazing! I also recall the trailer to Friday was shown before the film.
I have a feeling that might do Bad Boys II either a Retro or Bad movie review. What day u UA-camrs?
The dual slap scene was one of the funniest moments by minor characters.
Bad Boys was my gateway to African American movies. I loved it. I miss the over the top hood movies like this one or the Jet Li/DMX movies. Man I miss them so much!
@6:51 Speaking of the great Nicholas Cage, should “Face/Off” get a Bad Movie Roast or a Retro Roast?
Roast? Bad Movie? Bruh, it has like a 94% positive rating.
@Peer165 You are preaching to the choir. I love Face/Off but I’ve heard countless critics bury it.
Real surprised Korey hadn’t seen the original before. Seems right up his alley. Well I guess we all miss something obvious.
I remember seeing this movie multiple times at Avondale 16 movie theater in 1995! Two of the biggest black sitcom stars on tv, Martin Lawerance and Will Smith doing a R-rated buddy cop comedy. Pure fucking genius!!!!!
Interesting fact: the producers originally envisioned Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz as the leads… that would of been a VERY different movie lol
They mention this in the video. People really love to comment before watching things.
@@mothslate88 well that’s what I get for writing the comment at the beginning of the video for watching the whole thing lol
Wouldn't of had three sequels. That's for sure.
Marrrrrt-innnnnn, I miss that show
XD
I’m surprised you guys didn’t do a review for this movie when the 3rd movie came out back in 2020 Double Toasted?
Bad Boys is one of my favorite movies of all time. So much went into making this film its crazy.
How have y’all never seen the original and BB2?!?!
Bad Boys 2 is even better
But martin in BB2 wasnt
Am I the only one that thought Korey was making a cheek joke based on the film when he gets butt shot. Later he elaborated but at first I was like dang good one. Lol😂.
I like part 2 more than original
Tapia was a great villain
Reggie and Armando OMG
I always love the first bad boys movie regardless what people say about it but i love the rest of them too but the first one takes the cake n plus they have a spin off n a video game too but i hope the new one be good as the rest of them also too n i hope they make another one after this one 🙏😎❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow just now doing bad boyz....
You got a lot of bangers left to review
I know what im watching after work tonight
