The movie was good!!!! Funny with sub plots and took inspo from other movies like COD & GTA. Reggie y'all. That changed the tone. They could do some spins offs and I agree with Julian they could F&F the shit. 🤣 Full Price.😎
Out of three movies that's at bottom, it went in lighthearted and comedic direction in tone and lighting (vibrant and saturated colors) in comparsion to the first one. Villian is overly hammy. Poor pacing too.
I still like the first one best, that's one of my all time favorite movies. Number 2 was amazing. 3 was ok, I felt like Martin wasn't doing enough in it even though the movie was trying to do so much, honestly it was kind of stupid to me. I really want to enjoy 4 but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I still love the franchise though, always been a big fan of both of those guys.
Martin watched 3...and it made him go back and watch the first 2? Sir, you need your black card revoked lol. In 1995, how did you not go see Martin and Will Smith in a blockbuster action movie? They were both at the height of their sitcom powers and both were given a big budget movie. Martin and Will in a movie was a big deal in 95
Dude I was 14 living in a suburb riding a bicycle playing sega genesis and being white in 1995 and me n my friends still loved these guys n this movie. Racism is a lie. Anybody that loves sports action movies comedy or music ain't got time for that nonsense.
Bruh even me being born in 95, came across bad boys on cable in like 2001 and my mom and cousin turned it off and said nah we gotta go rent this so you can watch it all the way through. Couple years later I came home from school and my mom took me to my cousins house for a "surprise" and it was that my cousin had bad boys 2 on dvd and wanted to watch it with me
Can someone who has seen the movie tell me why Mike did not marry Rita!?? I mean it made sense for them to get married!! I am so upset if they did not. I heard. 😒😒😡😡
The term you might be looking for, Korey, is "Über Auteur".....we're at that point these days with a lot of films...just a random thought based on my teachings in my film studies classes.
Not gonna lie, I had a wicked time with this movie. While it's not as insane, action-wise, as "Bad Boys II" (due to a smaller budget), I think it's definitely up there with how inventive the action scenes are with drone shots, sequence transitions, first person, and gun-tossing. The story is hella stupid (as with the other movies), but for whatever reason, I actually found myself more engaged/invested in the Mike/Marcus dynamic this time around. Gotta disagree a bit with Korey/Martin; I think this movie did a better job acknowledging the guys getting older and dealing with new issues that come with age and experience, than they did with the previous movie (which I liked, btw). At least there's more of a throughline here, whereas in the previous movie, it kinda just dovetails without any solid resolution other than the fact that they have to go fight the bad guy. At least by the time THIS movie's climax hits, both Mike & Marcus' internal arcs come to a head and are dealt with. Are they dealt with in a satisfying manner? That's up to personal preference lol, but I personally thought they came to a head just fine in terms of what these movies are. I do agree some of Martin's comedy didn't 100% land, but I actually appreciate that he was in on the action A LOT more with this entry, rather than just playing second fiddle and letting Will have all the fun. It felt like a true co-lead operation with Martin & Will sharing the load of carrying the movie, whereas with Part 1 it feels like it's Martin's movie with Will tagging along, and with Part 3 it's Will's movie with Martin tagging along. While I do wish the supporting cast got fleshed out more, I actually did appreciate that they all had a moment to shine. Maybe it's asking too much for people to remember the "lore" of "Bad Boys", but I did like the numerous callbacks to story and motif elements of the previous 3 movies. Is it a "good" movie? No. Fuck, if i'm being real, NONE of these movies are. But all of them are super fun and entertaining at the most basic level, and that's what I've always wanted out of these. Maybe I'm not demanding enough, but this was honestly a great time at the theatres. The chemistry between Martin & Will is as great and endearing as ever. Some people might complain that it's a bit *too* stylized, but honestly, that's another thing that made me like it so much. Shout out to the directors Adil & Billal. They really stepped up the action, and got real inventive with it. If they're in the running for the next Spidey movie in the MCU, I definitely would like to see how they handle action sequences with that character, because they really got to push some boundaries and have fun with "Bad Boys: Ride or Die." Oh yes, and Reggie is indeed the Real MVP. Amazing how far that character has come lol.
The movie is called Bad Boys Ride or Die; not Bad Boys and their Wives. Who cares if the wives were just plot devices? I'm just glad they weren't girl bosses.
Johnny Tapia is still my favorite Bad Boys villain, Followed by the Bruja chick then then the Russian front the first one. This new villain felt like a generic Call of Duty boss. Captain Howard’s daughter felt more threatening lol and he died in the most anti Climatic way.
I appreciate Korey and Martin’s opinions, but it cannot be denied that this movie had some of the best action sequences and hilarious comedy I've seen in a long while.
The movie was great and the theater was really into it. Everyone laughed throughout. They cheered during the Reggie scene. Haven’t felt like that in the movies in a while. 9/10
Everyone in this movie was someone from a popular tv show will - fresh prince Martin - Martin - the daughter of their old boss - better call Saul the main villains - he was the anti hero off greys anatomy mcsteemy 😂
Here yall go acting dense....Mike had panic attacks due to fear of losing his family & the death of captian howard. Whats not to get? Martin was annoying they had him do too much. But Reggie got his chance to shine & he ATE!!!! This was better than the 3rd for sure. As far as ranking 1 2 4 3. I really liked the villain too & every time they showed captain howard i teared up. The wife part was out of nowhere. I think part 2 might be more quoteable I loved Jordi Molla as the villian loved Tchéky Karyo as the villian in the first as well. I wish Martin the best hope he gets better❤ did Martin watch the same movie??? Yes they defintely touched on them getting old. Chemistry still top notch theyre good friends
Saw Bad Boys: Ride or Die in IMAX, rainy day out so this was something to do Pretty populated screening, although during the 3rd act these people left of me started yapping their mouths away non stop This is just as good as the last one if not that much better Great soundtrack, awesome action, funny comedy, and I applaud them they tied it to the first two films despite them not being critical darlings I didn't expect cast members like Ioan Gruffud, Tiffany Haddish, and DJ Khaled to show up It’s a shame I wanted more of Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Ludwig’s subplot covered more, it’s almost a blink and you miss it There’s action and laughs as you’d expect being over the top and silly The camera movements here take a lot of inspiration from first person shooter video games The directors go all out with the style of filmmaking Who knows if part 3 is coming as long as Smith and Lawrence still have the energy Their chemistry still works so much bickering back and forth like an old married couple
It's very hard to get me to laugh at anything and I had a blast with this movie. I would say this was my best theater going experience this year and best movie I've seen behind Dune part 2.
They didn’t really hack into the camera he told them the password he just logged in lol. The movie also told you why the villian is how he is. They do a flashback of him tourtued
I really enjoyed this movie because I wasn't there to critique it I just wanted to enjoy Martin and Will and they had so many funny parts in this movie which made it a delight. Coming out of the movie though I could see why people would probably critique this but for me I don't give a fuck the movie was great-ish
This movie is not for people who are not day 1 fans. If you were watching since the first movie, you would absolutely love this film. Of course, the plot is questionable, but thats not what we watch this for
Yea will smith ain’t carry nothing . He’s the same character in every movie . Will. Martin stole the show and this movie is as great as the best film the 1st . Must see
Movie had great set pieces and cinematography. So of those fight scenes looked like something out of inception or John Wick. Definitely got Max Payne vibes from one of the action sequences. I think it was a good movie to close out the quadrilogy.
That’s not what the panic attacks were about. I believe they were because of everything that happened during the last movie. Sometimes panic attacks just happen for no reason at all. Think about it. He almost died, his captain died in front of him, and he finds out that he has a son who was responsible for trying to kill him and killed his captain. As a person who suffers from anxiety attacks sometimes you get so used to to holding things in that they manifest itself in different ways.

@@samuelaganbi8276 stroke too apparently
I seriously thought the last one, the third, was the last one but I didn't knew it was going to continue.
That's what happens when you make money during the pandemic
I feel like the ending of the third kinda hinted at them going for another movie
it was the most successful of the 1st three and the most successful film of the year, the way Hollywood is, they had to make another
@@lilmissknowitall5775and the first bad boys that was released on a January. They normally release the bad boys during the summer
Bad Boys 3 made $ 426.5 million at the box office on a $ 90 million dollar budget.
The main villain of this movie was Dukie 😅😂😂
I’m watching this tomorrow. I’ll be back wit my thoughts on this ☝🏾: (Im literally still in the theater as of typing this😂) I’m back. I still prefer the 1st movie, but GODDAMN was this movie a fucking Great time. I’d recommend this to HARDcore “Bad Boys” fans.
Korey and Martin are the real BAD BOYS
😂 😂 yeah yeah I agree
I need nasty Korey! Give me nasty Korey!

Martin: "And some Skittles." 😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Idgaf that jelly bean scene was funny asf 😂
Considering Martin said he loved Bad Boys 2, there's a lot of hella juvenile humor in that one too. The jellybean scene for this one is just par for the course. Thought it was funny too lol.
The guy didn’t have to hack into Marcus’ Ring account because he gave his login to him in the scene
Deadass was looking confused when they said that
Whether it's good or not, I'll still see it. I love these things.
You'll like it, don't worry❤
That Reggie scene guaranteed this movie an 8/10 alone. Very well done.
They shouldve called this one Bad Boys 4 Life instead
Yep
“What are Vin Diesel rules?!”
Family.

They said all that to say they liked the movie. 🤣
And Julian said the acting bad and the plot is bad but MOVIE OF THE YEAR. Huh??? 😅😅
@@bishoptatum8737 I’ve seen it twice and have no clue what he’s talking about acting wise. 😂
@@bishoptatum8737He never said it was MOVIE OF THE YEAR. Also, none of the lead performances were bad. He loved those performances. And so clearly, not that many acting performances deter him that much, so we don’t have to dog on him for liking the movie despite certain criticisms.

Sounds like the movie slaps-just like Will Smith…
I just saw this movie three hours ago. The relevance of that scene had went "OVER-MY-HEAD" , until now.😂😂
The movie was good!!!! Funny with sub plots and took inspo from other movies like COD & GTA. Reggie y'all. That changed the tone. They could do some spins offs and I agree with Julian they could F&F the shit. 🤣 Full Price.😎
Y'all should do a retro review on bad boys 2 as well
Best action blockbuster movie of the year so far yep that’s right Furiosa haha take notes. Can’t believe I said that.
How did Mike get married to his therapist and he still have panic attacks 😂😂😂
It’s his physical therapist lol

He didn’t start getting panic attacks until he finally had something to lose (I.e. his new wife, son)

Im guessing this is more like Bad Boys 2.
I'm hoping...
I used to hate Bad Boys 2 but now I like it for its over the top set pieces.
@@krisj827 im the opposite. Loved it as a teenager, absolutely loathe it as an adult 😂
Out of three movies that's at bottom, it went in lighthearted and comedic direction in tone and lighting (vibrant and saturated colors) in comparsion to the first one. Villian is overly hammy. Poor pacing too.
@@krisj827 Bad Boys 2 is my favourite, can't beat the action scenes and the homage to Jackie Chan
Martin and Will in a movie was a big deal in 95
Seriously, Bad Boys has always bee the black movie going experience.
You have to see it with a theater full of black people.
Martin doesn't even act like a black man tbh bruh... he probably was into the grunge scene in the 90s.
Dude I was 14 living in a suburb riding a bicycle playing sega genesis and being white in 1995 and me n my friends still loved these guys n this movie. Racism is a lie. Anybody that loves sports action movies comedy or music ain't got time for that nonsense.

Can someone who has seen the movie tell me why Mike did not marry Rita!?? I mean it made sense for them to get married!! I am so upset if they did not. I heard. 😒😒😡😡
She was his boss so they probably decided to keep it professional
I would also prefer Rita to be his wife. His wife's character is kinda boring.
@@datsapaddlinThey could have changed that and they could have gotten married. I hate that they didn’t end up together!! 😫😫
The term you might be looking for, Korey, is "Über Auteur".....we're at that point these days with a lot of films...just a random thought based on my teachings in my film studies classes.
Not to spoil anything... but Ride or Die is one of my favorite pictures so far this year. And Reggie... you must watch this film!
Bad Boys 4 is excellent!!! Big Reggie!! 💪🏽
So the general consensus is this movie slaps.
He said the word hack , but he just gave him his login information
I appreciate Korey and Martin’s opinions, but it cannot be denied that this movie had some of the best action sequences and hilarious comedy I've seen in a long while.
The movie was great and the theater was really into it. Everyone laughed throughout. They cheered during the Reggie scene. Haven’t felt like that in the movies in a while. 9/10
Everyone in this movie was someone from a popular tv show will - fresh prince Martin - Martin - the daughter of their old boss - better call Saul the main villains - he was the anti hero off greys anatomy mcsteemy 😂
Korey - How do you feel about Reggie and Mike's son teaming up in a new Bad Boys spin-off?
6:41 Dude after this movie, that's a compliment.
Saw Bad Boys: Ride or Die in IMAX, rainy day out so this was something to do
Pretty populated screening, although during the 3rd act these people left of me started yapping their mouths away non stop
This is just as good as the last one if not that much better
Great soundtrack, awesome action, funny comedy, and I applaud them they tied it to the first two films despite them not being critical darlings
I didn't expect cast members like Ioan Gruffud, Tiffany Haddish, and DJ Khaled to show up
It’s a shame I wanted more of Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Ludwig’s subplot covered more, it’s almost a blink and you miss it
There’s action and laughs as you’d expect being over the top and silly
The camera movements here take a lot of inspiration from first person shooter video games
The directors go all out with the style of filmmaking
Who knows if part 3 is coming as long as Smith and Lawrence still have the energy
Their chemistry still works so much bickering back and forth like an old married couple
It's very hard to get me to laugh at anything and I had a blast with this movie. I would say this was my best theater going experience this year and best movie I've seen behind Dune part 2.
They didnt hack the camera though when marcus gave the login credentials for access
Really enjoyed the film. Happy that it did so well at the box office.

Lowkey glad they kept up with that character. His first appearance was iconic
Reggie earned his respect in this movie! He had the BEST character arc/growth that I’ve seen in a side character. He was the best part of the movie for me, him and Armando’s prison yard scene had me hooting and hollering 😂😂😂
Over critical. I definitely understand but actors are old. If u love bad boys as a franchise its awesome.
