Great fix Luis. Spot on on replacing the wire sections with more flexible ones, VAGs are plagued by door harness issues.

This was exactly the case with old Peugeot and Citroen in my personal experience. The "same level twist" stuff. I tried a couple of times to just repair or replace wires, but they always came back with the same problem.
To get around this, I extended those wires about 30 cm thus making a loop and introducing a "different level bend" and avoiding the straight through "design".
Obviously I had to cut the rubber channel in half, so it's a solution for personal use / friends only, not really a solution for a customer.

2011 Skoda roomster did not recognize that the front door was open. Decided to get it fixed so I wouldn't forget the lights on when I left the car. The repair guy was like "Yeah there was five wires completely separated..."
So five wires completely broken and the only symptom was that the car didn't realize the door was open :D That's pretty good.
Another weird thing with a rotten loom with the same car was that when I turned the ignition off, the motor kept on running. It's a weird feeling when you turn off the car and remove the key and think "Wait a second... why is this car still running?" The car would turn off when I would switch to reverse gear.
The culprit was the trunk door loom. I have no idea how. There were some wires completely broken. Replacing the loom fixed the issue.

Same system as my 2007 Roomster which was fitted with front only electric windows. I had identical symptons - intermittent operation of both the driver and passenger windows. Initially I suspected the wiring but the continuity and condition of the connections the driver and passenger doors all checked out OK. A replacement £180 combined drivers door module/motor fixed the problem. An expensive DIY repair not sure how much a dealer would have added for labour - but suspect a lot.

Hope it lasted. My T5 has same electric window modules. If you disconnect the motors it works till you lock it. Then they don’t work.
Think it’s an issue wit( the comfort control module as swapped out the motors and cards.
I think if it doesn’t get the confirmation that the module has turned off after it requests it then disables them…

    Great video, very detailed.
I tried to take the easy way out and bought a new complete door wiring loom. Window still won’t open. Any idea why?

      Double check connections etc...
Test the motor, fuses and you might need to make some other measurements...

I had the same problem on ours same year gave up with it in the end as nothing solved it. So suspect bcm which controls the comfort module.

Someone help please, so I’ve had my Fabia for over a year now and my windows haven’t worked nor did they work with previous owner, so when I’ve had to jump start the car due to car battery being flat my windows worked after the car was started, but when I turned the car off, and then went back the next day to start the car the windows stopped working, I’ve tried just disconnecting the battery and that worked once now nothing will make them work is there anyone with any idea on what could be the issue?

My guess is a broken wire inside the harness that goes from the door to the car Eric o had a similar case with electric mirror on a Chevy truck I think it was

      😂
You completely missed the idea of the video...
You are looking for solutions, not to learn anything...
The idea of my videos is not that... is to show how to test and how to get to conclusions...
You can have the same problem caused by different issues...
But you probably don't understand that...🤷‍♂️
