Kizza Besigye: My Life is a Struggle

In Kasangati, a few miles from Kampala lies a house that's regarded as a " state house" although not recognised by Ugandan law. The Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye and his close political allies run a number of errands from this compound including press conferences and other close door party meetings. The opposition leader is under constant government surveillance; in Kizza's words, democracy is a struggle. Africa Uncensored's John Allan Namu had an exclusive interview with Kizza Besigye at his home recently.

Moi, did not want to leave. It is the americans who put pressure on him; i remember, the usa secretary of state( genl. Collin powell), once telling moi that: he must gooooo! Moi knowing that it was the usa that reinstated and kpt him in pwr during the 1980s, when he had been overthrown for hrs, he decided to get a succesor and step down.
