Muhammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank, gave a lecture on “Social Business and Microcredit for Women’s Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation" today in historic Gaston Hall.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus is really great. He is the only person who achieved Nobel prize for Bangladesh and it's embarrassing to say current Bangladesh government is not supporting him to let his Grameen bank develop further. Government is saying Grameen bank is consuming villagers money without supporting villagers. And because of that issue Grammen bank has been shut off. Why on an earth a person will get Nobel prize and many other honorable awards, if he is not supportive for poor people's in Bangladesh. I think he has born in a wrong country where his works not getting appreciation as deserves.
The government didn't shut it down...they don't want him being the head of the bank, and the government claims it is owned by the government...but not the case now even though the initial money was given by the government and now it is owned by the shareholders as the loan recycles.... government can't actually remove him from his position...even though the government does have the legal right to sack him...it is a bank under the state law...
Because he is working 10 years after the legal age of retirement, the government feels he is staying as the head unjustly. His lawyer argues he was voted to stay by the shareholders of the bank. Don't worry they can't remove him, he's got a good lawyer

কার্যকলাপ:
১। দলীয় নির্বাচন থেকে বিরত থাকা।
২। প্রতি নির্বাচনী মৌসুমে প্রতিটি পরিবারে নির্বাচন হবে একবার, যাতে নির্বাচিত হবেন একজন পারিবারিক নেতা ; প্রতিনিধি ।
৩। একটি মহল্লায় নির্বাচন হবে একবার ,যাতে ভোট প্রদান করবেন পারিবারিক প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ ,তাতে নির্বাচিত হবেন মহল্লার একজন প্রতিনিধি ।
৩। প্রতিটি গ্রামে নির্বাচন হবে একবার ,যাতে ভোট প্রদান করবে মহল্লা গুলোর প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ আর নির্বাচিত হবেন একজন গ্রামপ্রধান ।
৪। প্রতিটি ইউনিয়নে নির্বাচন হবে একবার ,যাতে ভোট প্রদান করবেন গ্রাম প্রধান বৃন্দ এবং নির্বাচিত হবেন একজন ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান ।
-এভাবেই পর্যায়ক্রমে নির্বাচনে নির্বাচিত হবেন সংসদ সদস্য মন্ত্রিপরিষদ প্রধানমন্ত্রী এবং রাষ্ট্রপ্রধান পর্যন্ত।
৫। স্বাধীনবাংলা নামক দলটি বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র রাজনৈতিক দল যার দলীয় সদস্য বাংলাদেশের সকল নাগরিক।
৬। সমাজে প্রচলিত সকল দল সমাজ গঠন মূলক কার্যকলাপ চালিয়ে যাবে একজন সুনাগরিক হিসেবে।
৭। যেহেতু দেশে এমন কোনো প্রতিনিধি নির্বাচিত হবেন না যিনি নিজে থেকে নিজেকে প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে আখ্যায়িত করেছেন অথবা নিজে সবার চেয়ে ভালো করতে পারব এরকম বলেছেন অথবা নিজে কার্যত নেতা হওয়ার জন্য ,শাসক হওয়ার জন্য চেষ্টা করেছেন ;সেহেতু বাস্তবে নির্বাচিত জনপ্রতিনিধি অধীনস্থ সকল সদস্যের দাঁড়া সম্মানিত হবেন। এই অতি সাধারন রীতিতে নির্বাচিত প্রতিনিধি কারো দ্বারা আক্রমনাত্মক হবে না বলে আশা করা যায়। দেশে বিরাজ করবে না কোনো রাজনৈতিক অস্থিতিশীলতা ;দেশে ফিরে আসবে রাজনৈতিক ,রাষ্ট্রীয় দ্রিরতা যা আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে একটি অনুকরণীয় রাষ্ট্রীয় ব্যবস্থা বলে সম্মানিত হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা থাকবে। দেশের যে সকল মানুষ নিজ নিজ ধর্মের দাওয়াত দেশের মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে দিয়ে ধর্মীয় অনুভূতিতে দেশের মানুষকে গড়ে তোলার স্বপ্ন দেখেন তারা তাদের চেষ্টা অব্যাহত রাখতে পারবেন। পক্ষান্তরে ভিন্ন মতাদর্শে মানুষকে অভিভূত করে সামাজিক অবস্থার ভিন্নতর পরিবর্তন যারা চান তারা তাদের মতো কাজ করবেন। সাথে দেশের ইতিহাস খন্ডক ,ইতিহাস রক্ষক ,অথবা ধর্মীয় চেতনার রক্ষক অথবা যেকোনো ভালো বা মন্দ ;শক্তিশালী অথবা দুর্বল ,যে কোন পার্টির কাছে দেশ কখনো বিক্রি হবে না ।এ দেশ সবার দেশ ।নির্বাচন সবসময়ই সবার মধ্যে থেকে সবার মতের ভিত্তিতে ন্যায় পরায়ন ভাবে সম্ভব।
নির্বাচন পদ্ধতি
ক) একটি পরিবারে যখন নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে তখন একটা কাগজে প্রতিটা সদস্যের নাম পর্যায়ক্রমে লিখে এবং নামের পাশে ভোটার আইডি নাম্বার সংযোজন করে কাগজটিকে পরিবারের সদস্য সংখ্যা অনুপাতে কপি করে নিতে হবে। প্রতিটি নামের ডানপাশে ভোট প্রদানকারীর অনুরূপ নাম লেখার বা সিগনেচার করার মত জায়গা রাখতে হবে।
খ) নির্বাচন পরিচালনার জন্য পরিবার বহির্ভূত দুজন প্রতিনিধি নিয়োগ করতে হবে।
গ) সকল সদস্যের মধ্যে একটা করে সদস্য লিস্টের কপি বন্টন করতে হবে যাতে প্রতি জন সদস্য নিজের ইচ্ছা অনুযায়ী প্রতিনিধি নির্বাচন করার জন্য উক্ত প্রতিনিধির নাম এর ডানপাশে নিজের সিগনেচার করে নিজের ভোট অনুমতি প্রদান করতে পারে। এবং এই ভোট প্রদান সম্পূর্ণভাবে গোপনীয়তা রক্ষা করে নাম লিখতে হবে এবং ভোট পরিচালকের কাছে জমা দিয়ে তা গণনা করে প্রতিনিধি নির্বাচিত হবেন।
ঘ) নিজেকে নিজে ভোট দেয়া যাবেনা, সাথে নিজের জন্য ভোট চাওয়া যাবে না অথবা নিজে ভোটে দাঁড়ানো যাবেনা।
ঙ) নির্বাচিত ব্যক্তি প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার সম্মতি না থাকলে ক্রম অনুযায়ী পরবর্তী নির্বাচিত ব্যক্তি প্রতিনিধি হবেন।
আপনাকে নেতা বলে ;
নেতা সে নয় ।
লোকে যারে নেতা মানে ;
নেতা সেই হয়।
এই পদ্ধতিতে নির্বাচিত একজন প্রতিনিধি হতে পারেন তার অধীনস্থ সকল নাগরিকের জীবনের সকল অনুচ্ছেদের একজন অভিভাবক।
উল্লেখ্য এই নির্বাচন পদ্ধতিতে কেউ নিজে ভোটে দাঁড়াতে তো পারবেনই না ,সাথে কেউ তাকে ভোট দিয়ে প্রতিনিধি হওয়ার সুযোগ দিল ;বিষয়টা এমন হবে না ।বরং ভোট প্রদানকারী প্রতিনিধিকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার জন্য সবিনয় অনুরোধ জানালো ।
