Then he mentions that he now has a rare opportunity to show just how powerful he is because Darkseid can take it. He hits Darkseid with such force that everything in the area shatters.

It's from an issue of "JSA" (I think it is #13). It was part of a story arc where the Superman of Earth-22 (the "Kingdom Come" Earth) suddenly appeared. According to what he said, he was pulled away right after the bombs were dropped outside of the Superhuman Gulag. His appearance made everyone very nervous because the last time an older Superman appeared (during "Infinite Crisis") IIRC The Flash (Jay Garrick) said "the Universe went to hell."
Nothing is mentioned about their inability to fight beings who get their strength and powers from magic, such as against Captain Marvel (Shazam) before DC de-powered and lobotomized him.
Shazam beat this superman in same comic later. Superman literally wasnt strong enough to beat Shazam so he tried to trick Shazam into transforming back to human because Superman was losing fight and was hurt badly, and could have been killed by Shazam if fight continued. Shazam is also stronger than Hercules and Shazam can increase his abilities even further to unlimited by using power to Zeus
Yeah, I'm going to call BS on this battle. 1) In every battle with any DC Olympic god who knows how to fight properly Superman barely competes with them, and Hercules in DC is the one of the strongest, fastest, and most skilled Olympian warriors, so this him getting easily whipped is nonsense. 2) The notion that Herc would be involved without the other gods and even WW getting involved is pretty slim. The Olympians have a complicated relationship with Superman and in all occasions they seem to band together when one is involved with him...with the exception being when a god is doing something evil or against the Olympians. 3) Going back to strength and skill, Superman is not a warrior in any version. His fighting is pretty comical and can only happen with his powers because any real fighter would destroy him on an even setting and Herc is definitely equal or close to in strength and superior to in battle skills.

This is what i don't like about comics as they are inconsistent. Supes can travel faster than the speed of light... if he can see you, you are dead. He can dodge any blow or any energy beam as long as he is aware. Even that elbow should not have connected since muscle twitch is slow.
Yea, you kinda have to suspend disbelief and just go with it if you're going to enjoy it, otherwise there are millions of things you could nitpick. Superman has been shown to be powerful enough to hold a black hole in the palm of his hand, and he can bench press the earth, if everything was kept consistent, every step he took would cause giant earthquakes and the world would be in total ruin. His fighting is pretty comical and can only happen with his powers because any real fighter would destroy him on an even setting and Herc is definitely equal or close to in strength and superior to in battle skills.

You clearly know very little about Superman, and even less about Kingdom Come Superman nor did you pay attention to this video…Superman can absolutely fight, with or without his powers…for one, he fought on war world against some of the best fighters in the universe, he also has trained with some of the best fighters in the Justice League..and as for KC Superman, he ( as it was explained in the video) is much older and has absorbed far more solar radiation than this Superman, to the point of being immune to Kryptonite and much more resistant to magic..and yes, far faster and stronger than this world’s version of Superman..so,yeah..he could easily take down Hercules

When are people going to wake up and see that Superman is nothing more than DC's 'we know you're an idiot and we got you' character. He isn't that special and the only reason he wins is because DC has chosen him to be their "chosen one" and can't let him lose when it's clear he would absolutely lose. The only strength he really has is the favor of the writers. Every story of Superman is formulaic. Superman loses/gets sick/gets weakened/dies...........and then magically overcomes it and wins. The part no one ever stops and considers is that HE LOSES first and always. Why? Seriously, every villain human and non alike defeat him first. Unlike every other DC character who have to grow as a character and improve their game to overcome the challenge, Superman just comes back magically bigger and better and wins. KC Superman isn't immune to kryptonite, nor resistant to magic. Yes, they don't affect him as much but he is still vulnerable to them. And Hercules radiates the one thing that still hurts and weakens him, magic...believe all you want but it doesn't change the fact that any version of Superman is no match for Herc. It doesn't matter how old Kingdom Come Superman is, how much Sun he has absorbed, or who he trained with. KC Superman is nowhere close to as old, experienced, or as strong as DC Hercules from any reality is. Hercules has thousands of years on him, not to mention he literally radiates the one thing that weakens Superman, magic. And then you're ignoring the battle itself....it took two Supermen, not to mention KC Superman who is debated to be one of the most powerful versions of Superman, to win this fight. So what's that tell you about how this fight would go in a real one to one fair fight?

This is what i don't like about comics as they are inconsistent. Supes can travel faster than the speed of light... if he can see you, you are dead. He can dodge any blow or any energy beam as long as he is aware. Even that elbow should not have connected since muscle twitch is slow.
Yea, you kinda have to suspend disbelief and just go with it if you're going to enjoy it, otherwise there are millions of things you could nitpick. Superman has been shown to be powerful enough to hold a black hole in the palm of his hand, and he can bench press the earth, if everything was kept consistent, every step he took would cause giant earthquakes and the world would be in total ruin. Also how fun would it be if he NEVER got hit because he was too fast? That would get boring pretty quick. You shouldn't be so overly rational when it concerns things that are complete fantasy.

Hercules is a demigod. Only half of his genes come from divinity. Superman is the decendant of a Kryptonian Sun God named Rao. So they're basically the same. Kingdom Come Superman has been absorbing so much solar energy, a direct link to Rao, that Hercules doesn't even come close.
