That’s what happened in the original tv show. They originally had the guy who played jaws from James Bond playing hulk. That’s when the director did research and then found Lou ferrigno and the rest is history.

I've been a Marvel/DC fan for decades, and I knew that this writing problem would be inevitable. In my opinion, throughout the years, writers have racheted Hulk up into a place of Godhood when the older Marvel Presents magazines had him initially starting off lifting and pressing at around a 70-ton range while calm. Hercules was always in class 100. Thor was in class 95 and wore a belt that could quickly double his strength if necessary. Essentially, they have placed the Hulk on a power scale where Hercules should be, or should be far greater. Unfortunately, much of the writing is based on sales and popularity. For years, Hercules had been depowered or "retconned" to appease readers and to pique their interest into newer characters (Thor, Hulk, etc.). This is what's actually making it so difficult for writers to commit, to exactly how strong a particular character is.

I have a copy of the Hercules vs. Incredible Hulk special edition release back in 1989-1990. In it Hulk literally beats the absolute crap out of Hercules, mercilessly and relentlessly, until virtually every bone in Hercules's body is broken. Just as Hulk is about to deliver the final blow, which will be the actual death blow, Zeus intervenes to save his son's life, admitting that Hercules was completely outmatched and stood no chance against the Hulk.
and then.. Zeus fought Hulk after the King of Chaos arc and Zeus transformed into a larger guy and beat the crap out of the Hulk hahaha Hercules did for a liited time became the strongest skyfather and that is how the gods defeat the Chaos King which defeated and killed Zeus twice and was able to beat Thor and Odin and the other gods.
Great video. But truth is Hercules can fight with Thor Odinson and has many times. Thor wins, and even Thor can not match up to the fury of the Hulk. Mjolnir has always been the deciding factor in their confrontations or interference from a third party to save Odinson from humiliating defeat. Hulk is strongest there is,even amongst gods. Well... if you go by the power definition, Hulk can only be defeated by a short calculated attack. If that doesn’t work(usually doesn’t) and fight drags on pretty much nothing will save you. Hulks power, durability and healing will go parabolic in that scenario.
Hulk doesn't just get stronger with anger. He also gets more durable and if hurt his healing factor becomes more powerful. Hulk also doesn't fatigue and get tired. Zeus and the other gods of Olympus would have watched Hulk kill Hercules

For years, Hercules had been depowered or "retconned" to appease readers and to pique their interest into newer characters (Thor, Hulk, etc.). This is what's actually making it so difficult for writers to commit, to exactly how strong a particular character is.

@Mythsandmythologies I think that this story elaborated on what most people are forgetting, which is the many centuries that Hercules has not only battled but survived. His experience should indeed count for something in battle. Although mythological, he is legendary for a reason. The Hulk is legendary also, but he is still just a mortal. I think that should also present an interesting dynamic when it comes to epic battles.

No, it would not by no means be an easy fight for Hulk because loves to fight and is highly skilled in Roman Greco wrestling where Hulk is a straight up brawler, and the only way Herc could beat Hulk is if he can knock him out.

@@rdeh1678 Chaos King Hercules was massively amped. No version of Hulk could beat a skyfather being who could control reality itself. A non amped Hercules loses to Hulk 9/10 on most occasions. A better fight for Chaos King would be when the One Below All possessed Hulk’s body. He’d beat chaos king Hercules too 10/10 times

I loved the story and the way both characters fought with tenacity and bravery. I think this would be a great mythical movie with great fighting scenes and in the end they can both become friends and joint forces to fight a greater threat like or part of a movie clip just as when hulk fought Thor. 😎

I have a copy of the Hercules vs. Incredible Hulk special edition release back in 1989-1990. In it Hulk literally beats the absolute crap out of Hercules, mercilessly and relentlessly, until virtually every bone in Hercules's body is broken. Just as Hulk is about to deliver the final blow, which will be the actual death blow, Zeus intervenes to save his son's life, admitting that Hercules was completely outmatched and stood no chance against the Hulk.
and then.. Zeus fought Hulk after the King of Chaos arc and Zeus transformed into a larger guy and beat the crap out of the Hulk hahaha Hercules did for a liited time became the strongest skyfather and that is how the gods defeat the Chaos King which defeated and killed Zeus twice and was able to beat Thor and Odin and the other gods.

Great video. But truth is Hercules can fight with Thor Odinson and has many times. Thor wins, and even Thor can not match up to the fury of the Hulk. Mjolnir has always been the deciding factor in their confrontations or interference from a third party to save Odinson from humiliating defeat. Hulk is strongest there is,even amongst gods. Well... if you go by the power definition, Hulk can only be defeated by a short calculated attack. If that doesn’t work(usually doesn’t) and fight drags on pretty much nothing will save you. Hulks power, durability and healing will go parabolic in that scenario.

Nope, he has the potential to be nearly as strong, but Hercules is "THE GOD OF STRENGTH"...emphasis on "God" and "strength." Hercules is the strongest god, with maybe Champion of the Universe (original version, not the horrible new one) being stronger. There is no way a human, ni matter how strong and powerful, should beat a god.
