@@Werewolf914 I've been a huge FG fan for years, and always want to expand them to others. The reason why I suggest sugar as the first song is I think it captures the direction that the band is taking shape and going forward with production wise with Paoli back at the mouth piece again. Not saying its too clean, I just think it would be an easier track for a first timer to digest before unleashing the double blast madness that alot of OG Fleshgod songs tend to be. The Violation I feel is one that is going to get picked due to the amount of reaction videos and suggestions here. Epilogue is up there in my favs, including Minotaur, The Betrayal, and the Vulture Beholds. Of course Thru the scars hurts my legs just thinking about it lol.
@Bonk Daddy You're right I guess it does make more sense to introduce everyone to the new style going forward instead of the old style, Sugar is amazing too, I also love The Day We'll Be Gone, Cold As Perfection, The Forsaking, etc.

I don't know if anybody mentioned It yet, but FYI the instrumental tune is taken from a traditional 18th century folk song from Brittany, a Celtic culture region of northern France. It's called "Tri Martolod" ("three sailors" in Breton language). The most famous rendition/arrangement was recorded in 1970 by Breton harpist and singer Alan Stivell.

Some facts of interest: The band are Swiss (tho later lineups have had fair portions of non-swiss members with then currently featuring an Italian bagpiper, german violinist and Polish hurdy-gurdy player.) Their name means "The Helvetian" in Etruscan (an ancient language spoken in Italy), a Helvetian is a member of the Helvetii tribe which was a swiss based Gaulish tribe (the Gauls were Celtic-speaking peoples who inhabited much of modern-day France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Northern Italy) The unusual-looking instrument is as everyone has been saying a Hurdy-Gurdy which is like a wheel fiddle (you turn a crank which spins a wheel that will rub off the strings) it is of Medieval origins. The bagpipes used are Galician bagpipes (so they hail from Galicia in the north of Spain, above Portugal) The melody of the song (especially the chorus) is taken from a traditional song from Brittany (a region in Northern France that has its own language called Breton which is a Celtic language) called Tri Martolod (Three Sailors) this is a recurring thing with Eluveitie and that is they're very fond of incorporating traditional melodies from Celtic-speaking areas usually, and adapt them into their own music. If you want more info on this there are threads on the Eluveitie and Folk Metal subreddits which outline what songs feature what melodies. The flute-like instrument played by the singer in the video would be a low-whistle but for the actual song, it was a tin whistle. Tin and Low whistles are metallic flutes used in Irish traditional music. Other instruments the band use (but not shown in the song) are: Harp, Bodhrán (an Irish drum), Uileann Pipes (an Irish bagpipe), Mandolin and Mandola. They've had a recurring guest play the Hammered Dulcimer and former members of the band have played instruments such as the Shawm, Crummhorn, Accordion, "Helvetic Bagpipes" and the Irish Flute (a wooden transverse flute with no keys)
The chorus of this song is actually taken from an old celtic folk song named "Tri Martolod". It was made famous by french folk musician Alan Stivell. There is also a hip hop version named "La Tribu de Dana" recorded by the french band Manau.

Yay Eluveitie! Hi from Switzerland! Been enjoying your channel since last year.
So, yeah, F: Fleshgod Apocalypse - The Violation
FIT FOR A KING- LOCKED (IN MY HEAD)
Please guys like this so he will react. Its SO GOOD.
F-Fit for a King- God of Fire!!!
[S] - Swallow the Sun - Empire of Loneliness / This is a style of metal you've never reacted to !! This song is an emotional journey ! There is a lyrics video around !!
[W] - Wuthering Heights - Faith: Apathy Divine Pt.1 / This is some of the best power metal you'll ever hear ! The singer is soo good you'd think he's not alone :p
Firewind! Check out Till the End of Time, Insanity, or Ready to Strike from their album Allegiance. Great power metal band from Greece. Gus G is a fucking wizard!
Eluveitie was my first Folk Metal band, and I'd say it's probably still my favourite band all these years later. Though Inis Mona wasn't my first song by them (my first was Luxtos, which is my current favourite song by them), I still love it.
F- FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE: SUGAR, OR THE VIOLATION!!!!!
Thanks for recommending them too I have been recommending them for a long time and no one else seemed to know who they even are. Personally though I'd say Epilogue is a better introduction.
@Bonk Daddy
You're right I guess it does make more sense to introduce everyone to the new style going forward instead of the old style, Sugar is amazing too, I also love The Day We'll Be Gone, Cold As Perfection, The Forsaking, etc.
I've been waiting for you to react to this song for 2 years man! I love it!
Tomorrow:
For Today: Saul of Tarsus
Is it time to finally tell Alex about Cellar Darling? :)
I knew you would love them. They're so amazing live & if we ever get back to concerts, I definitely recommend seeing them
This song and album is amazing.
I don’t know how I missed this when it was first released from you, but I absolutely love the song… I am a huge Link and legend of Zelda fan so I really enjoyed the references… the guy playing the bagpipes looks like he just found out that his cat was run over just before playing this song… it cracks me up, I never thought I would enjoy a hurdy gurdy in metal, but these guys do so well!!! Thanks man, I’ve been asking for this reaction from years…
Fleshgod Apocolapse In Aeternum live is gold.
I saw them open for Turisas years ago at Pagan Fest. Stand Up and Fight by Turisas is the sh**!
2008 i guess
@@vintersphrost it all blurs together after 40 :-P
Fit For a king-"When Everything Means Nothing"
No one cares about those Generic Losers.
@@AssfaceOmega how about instead of being rude you comment something else and if it gets voted for then he'll react to it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but there's no need to say that, comment your own song and move along
Ah, yeah, the best days of Eluveitie. I saw them with this lineup in Brazil, it was awesome. New lineup ain't bad either, but his is better. :-)
Nope, me and my brother left the band in 2008, never were in brazil.
@@vintersphrost Ha! :-D I sure did not know the band in 2008 and saw them here much more recently than that. Will look up the older stuff. Cheers!
Fit For a King-"Backbreaker"

YES! I love Eluveitie, hope you could listen to more of theirs once ABCs of metal is over. Speaking of which, and keeping the folk metal vibe: F - Finsterforst - Mach Dich Frei (or anything by them really). Also buckle up for a loooooong ride if you listen to them.
Coincidally, the guy on the bagpipe is a guest singer with finsterforst...
Fit For an Autopsy - Black Mammoth
I don't know if anybody mentioned It yet, but FYI the instrumental tune is taken from a traditional 18th century folk song from Brittany, a Celtic culture region of northern France. It's called "Tri Martolod" ("three sailors" in Breton language). The most famous rendition/arrangement was recorded in 1970 by Breton harpist and singer Alan Stivell.
F- Flyleaf- All around me! One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Apparently about the night she was going to commit suicide

Fleshgod Apocalypse - Epilogue
Some facts of interest:
The band are Swiss (tho later lineups have had fair portions of non-swiss members with then currently featuring an Italian bagpiper, german violinist and Polish hurdy-gurdy player.)
Their name means "The Helvetian" in Etruscan (an ancient language spoken in Italy), a Helvetian is a member of the Helvetii tribe which was a swiss based Gaulish tribe (the Gauls were Celtic-speaking peoples who inhabited much of modern-day France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Northern Italy)
The unusual-looking instrument is as everyone has been saying a Hurdy-Gurdy which is like a wheel fiddle (you turn a crank which spins a wheel that will rub off the strings) it is of Medieval origins.
The bagpipes used are Galician bagpipes (so they hail from Galicia in the north of Spain, above Portugal)
The melody of the song (especially the chorus) is taken from a traditional song from Brittany (a region in Northern France that has its own language called Breton which is a Celtic language) called Tri Martolod (Three Sailors) this is a recurring thing with Eluveitie and that is they're very fond of incorporating traditional melodies from Celtic-speaking areas usually, and adapt them into their own music.
"F" for Fear Factory - "Drones", "Pisschrist", "Archetype", "Slave Labor".
Linchpin is another great one
I like powershifter, it Will scare the crap out of him 😈😈😈
I saw this band live in 2019. Had tickets again to see them in 2020, but then COVID happened. Great band and amazing live perfornance!
F = Fit for a King - shattered glass
Yes please
Fun Fact: there is a band called Master Sword. If I remember correctly they were inspired by the game series Legend of Zelda.
F for Fleshgod Apocalypse- Epilogue please!!! They're such an underrated Symphonic Metal band.
The chorus of this song is actually taken from an old celtic folk song named "Tri Martolod". It was made famous by french folk musician Alan Stivell. There is also a hip hop version named "La Tribu de Dana" recorded by the french band Manau.
Fleshgod Apocalypse- The Fool
H= Hulkoff & Jocke Brodén - Ibor and Aio. You will be amazed. It’s featuring Joakim Brodèn from Sabaton too 😊
Cheers,
