I really enjoyed this discussion! I also understand both of your perspectives. It seems like you've been through a lot, and while you're open to the idea of being in a relationship, you're also scared. Consequently, you unintentionally complicate the dating process, which could scare off the right guy. On the other hand, what he is saying is, don't complicate things and the areas in your life that make you uncomfortable, do something about it regardless of whether you're in a relationship. So, focus on yourself and work on you, as that is when you're more likely to meet the right guy. Wow, I’m amazed at the fact that us men can reach a certain age and still have no wisdom or advice of significant value to offer anyone. At first I was like “man he knows what he’s talking about” and shortly after I met with utter disappointment, it’s just a shame. He’s in a privelaged position to offer this woman some real game, some true counsel that will immediately impact her life but yet and still he has not matured mentally to speak words of life into her. His idea of marriage is corrupt. His perspective on children is absolutely warped. And his view on the woman He desires is just completely foolish.
As someone who has worked in facilities for over 10 years now I have to say gender doesn’t matter… so many get put away and forgotten .. in fact it’s the other way around! It’s so rare to see family that have routines and relationships with their families they put in facilities

I’ve never bought in to the whole “men don’t understand that you want attention” you knew very well when we were dating, you knew what to do to get us interested but then all of a sudden you get amnesia. Keep doing the things you did in the beginning. It’s just excuses, you got comfortable and now you feel like you got her in the bag and she ain’t going no where. You have to be intentional in a relationship nothing is magic or automatic.
Elle you are a lovely girl and beautiful to boot, I don’t know why you said your baby daddy is so beautiful, he was punching with you. Sure he’s good looking but not exceptionally so. I find it really disrespectful to crush on another woman’s man by telling her she’s so lucky to have him.
