The tip about inviting people over is very true. My husband and I just recently bought a house and we’ve had people over a couple of times and that really made our house feel like home. It brings life to it. Another thing that makes a big difference with making a home more cozy is lighting! I put lamps in rooms that had bright lighting so you can turn on the dim warm light of the lamp and it completely changes the mood in the room.
If the opportunity ever comes for you to write a book/s I would DEFINITELY read and reread. You're just goals . I know you and your life aren't always perfect but the parts that you do show us are magic . You would do great with anything you set your mind to. Just saying xox love you 💗

Leaves is my favorite Bath and Bodyworks candle for years...but then this year I picked up a small "spiced cider" candle from Anthro and was hooked. I ended up getting two more of the bigger sizes when they were on sale, such a good scent! I recently picked up a "string of pearls" plant. The nursery guy told they can be very temperamental and hard. I love the look though so I am going for it. I've had it about two months now and it's still alive. Maybe you can revive your orchid with some nutrients!

It is so unique and consistent and always reminds me to take some time to just enjoy life. I think it would be really interesting if you made a self care video all about houseplants! Maybe you could show some of the houseplants you have and the ones that grow well for you/what you do to maintain them and talk a little more about how to integrate plant curation into creating a comfy home environment!

Another great video! Our place is filled with blankets, plants and baskets. We love scents too, gotta keep the candles burning especially when we roast vegetables, which can be stinky. We also have lots of books and magazines on display. Having a cozy home is amazing. :)

Carrie, you are so right about plants. They bring so much to your home. But it is a learning process. If I have had some difficulty with a certain kind of plant, I will pretty much avoid it after that. For example, I don't do well with orchids or ferns and a few others. I now avoid those and instead concentrate on and the ones that I have had luck with. I see you have two very good ones to start, a pothos and a snake plant. These are very easy to take care of and they clean the air. :)
love love love your videos and have taken away some great tips from this. I'd love to see something on making rented space feel like home. Where I live in London it's a small one bed, all white walls, not quite enough space for all the stuff me and my partner have (we aren't minimalists but we don't buy excessively!), can't put up shelves or big/heavy pictures.

One of my pups as a puppy loved to sneakily chew rugs that were furry or fluffy and lots of house plants can be toxic to dogs or they just like to try to eat them. I buy fake plants.. I finally bought a rug but it was so little so now I have so many places I have found I can start putting it.. I have been dying to find some chairs like your’s and a poof and every where I look they are expensive.. I so wanna want one of those long fur rugs like your’s my niece has a blush pink one! This may sound like the silliest question ever but how do you burn a candle correctly? Mine always tunnel and I feel like I’m just wasting money but they smell so good! If anyone can help me out that would be amazing!xx
My struggle is my fiance has asthma and finds scents makes him cough even candles. What could I use instead? ☺️ Love these ideas tho.. just moved in recently so still need to add pictures cause the living room looks plain, however having plants low enough I think my puppy might eat it lok

Another good tip is to not wear shoes inside your house. That makes it instantly cozier, when you know you can walk around barefoot without touching any dirty/nasty bacteria from the outdoors.
Please look into different kind of candles. Bath and body works candles aren’t the best for your health or your pets health. I suggest you look into it. They’re highly highly toxic. Xx 💓
