I am excited at the "blank canvas" you get to work with in the backyard. Given everything you learned the last few years 😬

Great job start. And the Lake of Thun Pansy wow, I can't wait to see it in your garden. 💕 Love that color. Can't grow my garden this year 😢😭I'm having some hip issues. I should stop kicking my husband ha ha, lol.
I am potting a tomatoe and a pepper. I can't have nothing, I'll go crazy.
    God Bless

Thanks for the reminder; I had forgotten that I had a Baker Creek order (Richmond green apple cukes + Queen lime zinnia) coming sometime soon. Oops.
Question about your newish calendula. Do they die back? Mine stay alive and grow new nodes in spring. I was actually trying to kill them so I cut them to soil thinking that they’d die and replenish the soil, but nope. I’m in 9b and I’m wondering if that’s normal or if I got lucky last year and should start saving seeds…

Calendula is pretty frost hardy so it only really dies for me when I get a hard freeze. I've only ever grown it in zone 6b so I'm going to assume that you may just not get cold enough to kill it completely. I would dig it out and see if you can pot it somewhere else or give it away if you don't want to keep it. It does a good job at self seeding though so there's a possibility that it'll come back in that same spot again the first year after they're gone. Just pluck the seedlings that come up and then it should be fine
