Good day and great suggestion, we couldn't agree more. We do have plans of the addition of a Barefoot slip on for the range however, for the time being, this is far from completion and being added to our range. Hopefully late 2024 or early 2025🐸💪

Honestly barefoot and Chelsea boots is a dream combo. Perfect shoes to slip on for quick trips anywhere.
I love the barefoot last, but i need a wedge sole with it, that extra width in the toe box makes such a big difference
They can do that for you
@tylerpearson2473 they can't yet. Best they can do is the regular African ranger last without the toe puff. The barefoot is actually a bit wider than the regular African ranger
100%. I would buy two different colors for this combo - the wedge + wider last

Just noticed that the Barefoot Stockman is a permanent part of the collection! Very excited! Can I suggest that you show the boots being worn in both your website images and in these videos. Gives a much better sense of the boot, than just showing a new empty pair...

Thx. Ive been looking for a resoleable barefoot chelsea for years. As soon as JG came out with the barefoot ranger and i realized they did custom orders i pounced :) couldnt be happier.

@@JinsKookieJams when i saw the video published i would have sworn they are mine, because i ordered the exact same custom order back in February, but the ones in this video look like size 9 or 10's and thats not me after all.
I’d love these to become regularly stocked. I’d buy them. Currently wearing the barefoot rangers and love them.

Many barefoot shoe companies have tried to make a Chelsea boot, these look the best by far.
And they are pretty much the only resoleable barefoot chelsea on the market. Dream boot

Hello, JG. Have you ever considered doing group buys for custom boots such as these? I ask because in the backpack carry community there are often these groupbuys for customized versions of existing backpacks. Reasoning: it's cheaper and more logistically sound for the manufacturer to produce rather than a one off custom for one person. It's also on average cheaper for the buyer. Granted that's what works for a bagmaker in Asia. Anyways, love your stuff!
$30 extra to make a custom. It is an additional $40 for shipping to US, but you'd never get around that since they're in South Africa.
In their video about their custom works, and in another video about unknown models, they mention making runs for companies.
I love these! I have wanted to have them make a barefoot version of your Vellie boots. This is a great idea to do the Stockman boots. You should bring these to market. I would buy them.

Thanks for the interest! We do have plans for a Barefoot Chelsea option in the range however, we cannot put a time period to when we expect this to join the range. We are currently in the process of developing another Barefoot style, keep the eyes peeled 👀💪🐸

Oh man, I need one. I got the Barefoot ranger and fell in love with it. It is like a boot slipper. I am curious how a slip on would fit through ans the Barefoot rangers are quite a high-volume boot I imagine these would be the same being on the zero drop last.

I was about to order this exact custom with a different leather. I ordered a stock pair however, as I'm not sure what size I am in it and the sizing guide was 2 sizes off my current size. Hopefully it comes in correct, I'll return and custom order.

How do Stockmans compare to wearing barefoot ARs unlaced? Or rather, the tied laces tucked in behind the tongue without lacing up the speed hooks?
I'll just stick my feet in to do quick errands like running garbage out to the curb, but invariably it feels loose enough that i want to tie them up if I'm wearing them longer. I did go a half size up from my Brannock anticipating thick socks in cold weather, but generally a half size up with regular socks feels fine in the summer and i enjoy the extra space for my toes while the ankles are still nice and tight. Would you need to size down for Stockmans?
Not sure if someone has ever requested this, but have you guys ever tried double lasting the African Rangers?

Custom boots arent that much more expensive tbh. Just $40 extra for shipping mostyly. Totally worth it imo

What is the edge dressing they put on at the very end? I have a pair of Numzaans and I've been wondering how to protect the leather midsole in the rainy season.
Ive ordered a pair of custom razorback with walnut veg tan leather. Do you think this will be a strong enough leather for construction?

I think they're a new upper, some sort of hybrid between a Shoelie and a Bantam on the zero-drop last. They were in the last video too, they're teasing us.

They have one they use on the Baobab that is pretty much a Vibram Kletterlift. That sole on their barefoots would be killer imo.
Square/footshaped > round/pointy 🤦
*I actually like it. Because pointy is really tight on my feet. So there's that benefit for some people like me 😊!*
