Of course, we had to start the year with a barefoot shoe review! I hope everyone had a good New Year. 😊 If you want to check out Feelgrounds shoes I have a link that will help support the channel (Affiliate link) www.feelgrounds.com/?p=Pete
Being a chef, I’ve been on the lookout for a barefoot kitchen shoe my entire career. My go to for years was the vivobarefoot gobi leather- they’re light, pretty waterproof, and damn near slip resistant. But after 15+ years of searching I’ve finally found it- the black feelgrounds Chelsea boot. I honestly think there are thousands, if not tens of thousands of cooks out there that should be aware of these babies- I would bet it would boost the sale of them by 10 fold!
Hey! I've been looking through tons of barefoot shoes to work on the line! Did you end up getting them? I want to see how slippery they would be on oil.
Thanks a lot for the review. I am looking for a pair of "casual" (to wear at work ) boots for when it rains (all kinds of rain), do you think these are water proof enough?
Hey, the boots were water resistant when I got them last year. However I wore them the other day and my feet got wet so that lasted less than a year. I don't know if you have seen the Patrol boots? They are better for wet conditions though might not offer the 'casual' look you are after? Hope that helps.
Crocs make flip flops socks, they have 1 section for the big toe and 1 big section for the rest of the toes. Way easier to put on than individual toes and they don’t constrict the toes together
Try to stretch the "fingers" of the toes socks before you put them on. The same goes for the "normal" socks with a wide toe area. Make sure you stretch the toe box of the socks before you put them on. Each time you wash them, the fabric shrinks a little and needs to be stretched.
I wore them to my brothers wedding but I would say they are definitely noticeable as they have a wide toe box especially compared to regular shoes. However I was grateful I did when I was cutting a rug on the dance floor later. 😅

Cool, I never imagined a chef rocking to work in these. 😊

I am considering these for work as well. How are they holding up for work? I’m a fireman and wear vivos currently. Love them but need a new shoe.
How's the durability? Especially for the sole? What's the grip like for different surfaces? Thanks!
The grip is pretty decent to be fair though they do slip on ice like most shoes

@@PeteOnPurpose Thanks a lot, you saved me from the wrong shoe! Cheers

Interesting, I normally avoid Crocs but I will check them out
I’m getting a pair of these for autumn, thanks for the review! Love your honesty and cheerful vibe 😀
Nice, I am sure you will love them. I lived in mine all winter/spring 😊

Thanks for the tips I will try them out. 😊
Same size in the Chelsea Boots as your FG Knits?
Yes mate, I believe I get UK8 or EU42 in almost every barefoot shoe apart from Xero where I sized up according to their sizing chart.
I'm considering getting these, do you think they're dressy enough for a wedding?

Toe socks really help keep athletes feet at bay
I've actually been in the market for chelsea shoes for work! I'll have to look in to these
I’ve been wearing mine in work and there surprisingly comfy
Seem quite good
I love them, see how they hold up I guess.
