These should really be a standard model from now on and hopefully not just a limited collaboration model.
@@EvilSSP I believe they are the standard model for the 719 boot range
@U_inbewteen-underscore_z im pretty sure the 719 range is a limited collab with Carl Murawski. I think the original comment was saying that it should not be limited and that the 719 is good enough to be in regular production.
@@hiding_my_name I understand the comment. To my knowledge they are in regular not limited production
@U_inbewteen-underscore_z I hope you're right. They might be one of the most impressive pairs of boots for the price on paper... I bought a pair for the February drop, so I'll try to keep you updated if they are everything I've made them out to be in my head.
Have become a HUGE fan of Jim Green in 2024. Great leather, good value, well thought-out styles. All available from their AWESOME custom shop on their zero-drop/barefoot last. Waiting on my seventh pair of custom barefoots.
Are you hiking k2 everyday? Why do you have 7?
@@Artemis-v8i I have chronic athlete's foot that requires letting shoes fully dry out between wearings. My feet swell too much to wear synthetic composite boots all day long so I had to retire about 20 pairs of lightweight combat boots and the like because they no longer fit. Slowly building up my all-leather shoe game. Just ordered a pair of Buffalo hide Razorbacks for when the custom shop re-starts in February. Can't have too many pairs of shoes in wet season.
Mine are in the next city over and should arrive Tuesday, or hopefully tomorrow. I've got these coming with a pair of African Trooper Roughouts.
Looks like a real winner right there. I want a pair of those!!!
they in the mail, can't wait!!!
If you are on the fence, just get them. Have worn them last 3 days with over 16 hours of drive time, 2 days with over 10k steps while not driving. They are breaking in nicely. The only hot spot for me was/is right behind the toe cap, but already getting less harsh with every step. Thanks for what yall do.
Been enjoying my pair these past couple weeks. They look and feel so damn good. I really like the rust leather, made the break in far easier than my bronco numzaans
2025 is going to be a big year for Jim Green.
Great looking boot.
Got mine! Gorgeous boots. Still going through the break in process. Left fits better than the right. And mine didn't come with insoles either.
Been saving up.for about a month, gonna buy my first pair of Jim Greens this Friday!! Very excited
Loe these videos showing the process. These are really handsome boots.
Beautiful boots. I just know that I'll be getting a pair at some point..
So stoked for these boots.
To self - *you must wait to see how the current boot lineup shakes out before getting a new boot. You must wait to see how the current boot lineup shakes out before getting a new boot. You must…*
@SMWTheBar I tell myself something similar but, my ears aren't listening! 😆
Outstanding. Love my Rust Veg re-tans. Add a lug sole and I will buy a Bronco pair. The AHSM Last is perfection. I may as well sell my IR's at this point...
Great video! Thanks!
Ooohh yess pleasee
I love them!
I just got the 719 boots and love them. I've been on active duty in the USMC for the past 8 years and have been constantly in and out of boots but I can say with confidence that these boots are meant to last past my lifetime.
Once you get past the break-in process they are like a glove.
For the sizing, I went up 1/2 a size up as suggested and they are a perfect fit. The narrow last reminds me of my Danners Marine Expeditionary Boot but the 719 has more room for your toes.
The speed hooks make it so convenient to slip on and off they are turning into my daily pair.
The Branco brown is such a beautiful texturized leather that the pictures and videos don't do it any justice you have to see them for yourself.
My only gripe is that i didn't know there weren't any insoles included i don't know if it was just the ones I got but I slapped in a pair from my other boots and had no issues.
Overall 10/10 surpassed my expectations.
who recommended going up a half size? i cant get any help on sizing so i ordered true to size i hope i didnt make a mistake
@@EsotericDerek93on the Jim green website for the 719 under the description for the boots it says to go up 1/2 size for people with wider feet or people that wear thicker socks.
@@EsotericDerek93if you don’t have wide feet I think you’ll be fine.
Gorgeous work folks!
Great looking boots. I would love to see a steel/composite toe African Ranger! I wear my African Rangers on new construction sites all the time but have to carry a spare pair of steel toes in case someone says something lol
a handsome boot!
Just got my second pair of jim greens, a nice pair of AR8s
I’d really love to see the 719 and/or Numzaan in olive.
Cool!!
Really wouldn’t mind the option to customize these and the Rugged.
I like how the cutting tools have "CM" for the one and only Carl Murawski!
They were supposed to come with insoles, I got the bronco one great boot better than Iron Ranger in my opinion.
Love the boots would love to get the in like and oil black or waxed raw leather that turn into like a black.
I hope they keep it as a standard model
These look great! Something I think you should offer in the line is the normal african ranger with a double last. I think it would go down really well in wetter parts of Europe ans America.
Just ordered the rugged African rangers but I would love to add these to the rotation sometime
carl do you recommend going true to size? i wear a 9.5 in nikes trying to figure out if thats what i shoud go with
Are these going to Amazon?
Do you plan to make a black leather pair? These look great!
they only offer these 2 pairs right now
Consider making a Jim Green wading boot for fishing. Perhaps something similar to the Patagonia River Salt Wading Boots.
What's the difference between Veg Tan Numzaan Drop A vs Drop B ?? Thanks
"I'm tired boss"
- my wallet
Seems like an upgraded African Ranger to me. Wish I had some spare money to get some, but will likely need to wait a few months.
Currently saving up for Jim's moc toed shoes.
They are very different to the African ranger
The only similarities between the 719s and the ARs is that they're both leather boots made by JG.
Wish we could choose shoelace colors cuz green laces wouldve been nice…
@ehe4364 You can choose; JG sells all its available laces on the website.
These JG "How It's Made" are so impressive. Thank you for including the terminology involved in each step. No need for Rose Anvil (Weston) to ruin a pair of new boots that could go on a Ranger's feet! I ordered my pair of 719 Bronco when they were first listed and have been checking the mail every day since. I cannot wait to beat mine up! Thank you!
if they were sold retail to rose anvil they weren't going to a ranger, and by rose anvil buying them that goes towards getting a pair to a ranger, it also helps drive sales that supports the company and get more boots to rangers.
Call em the Thursday Killers
So Carl wears a size 7?
Black leather please ?! 👍
Beautiful boot but that last doesn’t work for me. I’d like to see some of these more premium options on the STC last.
I'm 15 and want to buy them but i don't want to outgrow them😭
@light2677 Beat up the pair that you fit at age 15 then, get a new pair once your feet grow. Donate the others to charity as there is someone out there that cannot afford a quality pair of boots in your size. You will be doing a service to humanity and a benefit to your heart by doing good.
I like the boot, just wish the outsole was barefoot, mini or full lug. For my purposes, the frog does not meet any needs.
Can they be made with the barefoot sole
No custom options for this boot yet they're 2 weeks old
Offer a sale so that us low income people can afford a pair.
@sheckydiamond7533 Are you kidding?!? What are you wearing on feet at this price point that is built better than any boot that Jim Green manufactures??? Review the JG mission and then, ask yourself whether your suggestion makes any sense.
@@themoor5498it depends if he’s South African bro. R3500 is a tough ask for a pair of boots here and their R5000 African trooper is just wild. A lot of people just can’t justify the expense regardless of quality.
@themoor5498 Not all of us have $250 + tax. The reality of the poor.
@@sheckydiamond7533 not even the poor tho bro even middle class. 250 bucks on boots it’s tough
Jim Green did not offer Black Friday sale prices on Amazon. Many of us were hoping to be able to buy a pair. Razorback first sold at $139. Now they are $199. Well beyond my reach without a sale. How did the price go up so high in a few years?
If I wore a Numzaan on my left foot and a 719 on the right, nobody could tell the difference other than me. Do I still want it? Yes.
@yiyoink Hmm... I disagree. My African Buffalo Numzaan's on the STC Last does NOT look anything like the CM x JG 719 Military-style Service Boots on the ASHM Last. I can justify owning both pairs 🤔
@themoor5498 stock for stock, they look pretty similar. The stock Numzaan and the stock 719 are both on the ASHM last. Customs don't count.
@@yiyoink The stock wedge sole Numzaans come on the STC last, while the stock heeled Numzaans come on the ASHM. The STC last is wide (3E) and high. Very different from the almond shaped ASHM.
Under 200 dollars these were a good deal in the US, over 200 and the construction not as good, and the insole needing to be replaced for comfort, not so much.
What are you talking about? Construction? These are built better than red wing. Insole? These uses a veg tanned leather insole. Shut up
@@filthyvibes4768 he is talking rubbish
Are you ok?
If you want to stand on soft foam, heritage boots aren't the footwear for you in the first place. But you can still add soft foam insoles if you want. Kind of defeats all the benefits of a leather boot forming to your foot over time, though. And you inherit the downsides of PU foam: getting smelly and becoming less comfortable over time.
Its now a little disappointing that Jim Green prioritised the US market even over South Africans! As everything seems to be released there first now, ooh well!
True. Never forget where you came from.
was very disappointed to hear I could only get these in March when im 30 mins from the factory
Because they can sell the boot more in the US than South Africa unfortunately. They are slowly out pricing themselves out of the US market.
Literally the same. I'm from pmb but still have to wait 3 months
Time to give groundcover a try...
