Thanks for the amazing video! I'm wanting to know if this compressor can work sideways. I plan to install it inside my vehicle, but it would go laid down instead of upward. Do you see any issues in installing it laid on its side? I wonder if working sideways could represent any issues in the internal piston lubrication, for example. Thanks, bro!

Thank you so much for this video. I was wondering thought wouldn’t there be galvanic corrosion between the brass T connector and the stainless steel metric fitting?

Been running it like this for about 3 years still holding up great no issues yet

Suggestion, remove the handle, install the T connector so that the PS/switch is facing down to the side and hose out the back
    Makes its smaller size, .
Could also just use a slide valve so can check tire PSI

Hey Dan nicely done, I would have liked to of seen how you changed out the release hose. I don't like that design either. It's crap! Enjoyed the vid.👍

Quick question for u? I added a pressure switch and it seems to work! however the compressor comes back on every 30 seconds or so for maybe 1 second. Is this normal? Or am I losing pressure somewhere? I thought once it reached the desired psi and was not in use it would stay off until I turned it on

Sounds like you might have a leak. Use some soapy water and spray the fittings to check

Is the small black wire going into the motor a thermal overload switch?

Got a link to which pressure switch you purchased? Looking to do this mod too

Have you had any issues knocking off the wires or bending them with the exposed switch? I did mine exactly like your video, but am concerned about the exposed wires. Trying to think of a shield mod now. :)

No issues yet. I keep it in the bag it comes with in my Jeep. Worst case it just pops off the plug and just have to plug it back in.

Fellas .. if needed get a different T fitting.. mount the switch on the port that is threaded to the compressor so now the switch is under the fitting out the way.. or a round 3 port manifold

Or even easier put only a coupler and a free flow air chuck on yur hose. No pressure switch needed.

@@dirtylu79 maybe, but if you have a smitty built compressor you’ll know they get hot af after just 1 tire so it just running non stop for all 4 tires doesn’t sound fun.
