    Best ever overview of above the ground sprinklers
    I'm so done with the underground sprinklers and the high costs of the companies that install and maintain them. And no matter how much you pay them, IT NEVER WORKS RIGHT! I just got estimate to adjust my existing sprinkler system. $3,500!!!!!!
    No thanks. I'll follow your instructions and get what I want. It'll probably cost 1/10 as much.

    I figured your new to water wells, I could be wrong. Water the lawn on well water has my motor/ pump cycling on and off constantly, that's until I got a cycle stop valve. It turns on and stays on while the irrigation is running. Motors don't like starts, this valve will prolong the life of the motor. Take it for what it's worth. Good looking lawn!

    So what pump do you have in your well? Is your well when they drilled it doing 25 to 28gpm or is your pump putting that out? If your pump is putting that out you must have a serious replenish rate on your well like 50 or 75gpm. Most well company’s want put a pump in the well that pumps the same output as the well provides.

    I have a very important question. I have 2 acres of turf but my sprinklers are weak because the psi from the tap is 60 or less. I bought a wayne pump it helped a little but not much. How do you get 80 psi? What is the source of water? What is the size and length of your hose? I did jot realize that in order to cover big land you need certain type off hoses and strong psi. I appreciate your help and suggestions.

    • @GCITurf
      @GCITurf  6 років тому

      605 fert deep well. 28 GPM. 2 HP pump. The pressure tank supplies the 80psi. You could check with a plumbing guy and see how you can get more volume or pressure

      Hate to say it Pete, but I've given these things every opportunity to perform and they just don't. We have good water pressure, adequate 5/8 hoses (short hoses too) and even connected a booster pump and these things still just don't do it for me. They literally can't work in tandem either, it's just not possible. At this point I feel like the only way they might work would be to have the water volume of a fire hydrant or something along those lines. I've tried different nozzles, extremely short hoses, booster pump, etc. etc. etc. and they still just don't throw the water. Just emailed them hoping for a refund.. Oh well. :/

      1.5 hp pump and that blue tank. My well guy set all that so I am not real sure other than the pressure gauge on the tank

    • @bwdiver1
      @bwdiver1 3 роки тому

      My 1 hp pump is sitting around 200 feet and it will pump 30 gallons a minute when you check at the pump and let it run out of the 1.5 pipe. My pressure switch is set at 40 cut on and 65 cut off. When you check the gpm at a hose bib I’m getting around 17 gallons per minute. When I hook up my two sprinklers the pump will only maintain about 45 pounds psi. Seems to be plenty but it would be nice to have more. I saw in one of your videos-you had a inline pump sitting on the ground. Is that pump in addition to your submersible well pump? I have plenty of volume with 1.5 pvc ran through out the yard plus a 80 gallon pressure tank.

    Even If I was Wealthy to afford a Nice Super Big Mansion and 2-5 Acres, your Ideas work for those elite types
    But for us Ave Midde Class Types? Either If On Towns/City water which cost a Fortune Now or Worse, aWell Water( to accelerate weraing out our Well Pumps and Drying up our Wells( every home around me have had this happend in the past 3 yrs and cost ave was $8,000 to Drill a New Well and Casing/Pumps and Line.. So fr mine hasn't gone dry yet.. But I've accelrated my saving $500 yr to help pay for a New Well. More and More of us have Cut ur Grass Parts of our Yards to Landscaping it and about 25% removed all Grass and have landscpaed Yards, after they paid the ave o f $8k for a New Well.
