- Resident Evil 4 Remake is an amazing game and Speedrunning isn't the only way to enjoy it, for many getting the achievements is one of the most fun parts of any game, but what if i tried to get every achievement as fast as possible, with a little bit of practice and some ingenuity i was able to get every achievement in resident evil 4 remake in under 8 hours. this video seeks to show you how i did it and to double as an all treasures guide, a merchant requests guide, a minimalist, silent stranger, frugalist, and many more achievements guide.

Professional s+ without bonus weapons was impossible enough. but somehow the merchantless/no heals/pistols only run was actually more stressful.
When i did my S+ run i wanted as much achievements as possible so i only used the gun/knife, no merchant and no heal all in one, it was hell for real lol
Specially when i reached saddler with yellow/red health and thought i got soft locked but somehow managed to beat it
I just did all 3 of those in one run on assisted. It was not bad.
@@Martel4 If it was ng+ yeah, it's really easy. In this video and what they are talking about it's new game, starting with nothing. You can see in the video waifu is always running short on ammo and bosses are really hard.
Professional S+ with no bonus weapons is easy. Cat ears, magnum, and rifle will get you through anything.
Use the gas mask on the mine carts to cheese it if thats a struggle at all.

I played the game 12 times in a row. There are only a handful of games I’ve ever played that many times, but this is the only one I’ve played that many times consecutively.

For whatever reason with the mine cart achievement, you can spread both sections across different playthroughs. In my first run, I didn’t get hit in the second segment. When I did another run, I avoided damage in the first part and it gave me the achievement.

I noticed this too. Cause I ended up getting the achievement when only doing the first part untouched and wondered why I got it.
So that's why I got the achievement, cuz I was so confused with not getting hit in the first minecart but getting the achievement
I watched this after taking an entire month to completely get all the trophies. And seeing you complete it under 8 hours makes my respect for you go 📈📈📈📈
24:00 I like how Ashley's animations are so realistic, yet she turns ~70 degrees in two frames and runs in comically straight lines.
Amazing achievement dude and the editing work that went into this must have been immense. So ridiculous you did this in 8 hours. One achievement you didn't show you doing in the video (not sure if I missed it ) was the jumping from 2nd floor with knife on the mendez fight.
Slaughterhouse slam is one of those in-game challenges without a corresponding achievement.

I've played through this game 5 times and I've never been aware of the merchant that pops up at the start of a NG+ run...

Great format, I really enjoy watching other players' platinum journey when I'm not trophy hunting myself and sometimes you learn things that'll help you with your own.
The best part about it is that you take your time to explain things in layman's terms and don't just assume that people know what you're talking about.

Something I realized you can thankfully do for the treasures in the Ashley section. Aside from the one behind the fake wall before the lantern room, you don't actually have to COLLECT the locked treasures as Ashley, you just have to UNLOCK their chests. I brain-farted and forgot to actually grab the treasure in the chest in the last room before leaving, but Leon can open any chests he can reach (3 of the 4), he just can't unlock them himself.
15:00 Oh dude, I'm so glad to hear that it's very important for the run that you lose 15-20 FPS any time there's rain here for whatever reason. I was stressing out over it so much when I was trying my Pro S+ runs but hearing that it's a necessity takes so much stress off of my shoulders!

The el gigante quarry can be used to get the shield your eyes achievement. When you come to it you can flash all the crows to kill them. Also 2 of them drop treasures.
damn man.. i actually have to say i am kind of happy even you struggled a bit with no heal minimalist.. i am doing that aswell on normal, and chat decided i need to knife krauser and the iron maiden...
but damn it was a blast !

Big fan of your content WaifuRuns you just made a new sub! I never really enjoyed speed running as a gamer despite my own attempts not being horrible! I’ve been through a lot the past few years with my wife passing away plus a car accident that took the lives of several family members so my nerves are shot & I always hated time limits in general! Challenge runs I happen to love especially for the soulsborne games & the RE series despite speed running having the larger fanbase…I just love the seemingly endless amount of ideas for challenge runs! That being said I still enjoy watching other gamers speed run with your channel being a personal favorite & most importantly having overall awesome game related content!
While I'm definitely not going for any RE4R challenges, watching you, Dante, and many other players dominate your favorite games in all kinds of fun ways is really making me think about what games I have that I could play from new angles. I used to speedrun Fatal Frame II many, many years ago. Might be fun to pull that one out of the vault and see what else I can do with it. I guess what I'm saying is thanks for inspiring me to get back into playing again. 😊

I am not a Speedrunner but I am surprised with this tittle because I got all the achievements in under 80 hours, so I impressed how people can do this challenges

The door scoping patch is a good question, surely the blanket response should be "if the bug is something that enough average players hit that its complainable then it should be correct "

It's more money to combine your treasures as 1 RRR + 1 BBB + 1 YYY instead of 3 RBY. Since you're using a red beryl on the lynx you can use those gems and the ones in the elegant masks and butterfly lamps.
Im loving this remake, just the removal of the shitty quick time events the OG RE4 had gave me enough motivation to platinum this game, I loved the process and it was not too hard, I did 4 runs:
1st normal run in hardcore just to experience the game normally
2nd run for S+ in pro (failed 1st attempt since I ran out of time due to spending too much time getting treasures in the village, got it on the second try)
3rd run for silent frugal minimalist
4th run for the pro without any bonus weapons
For gun collector I just loaded a new game plus from my first hardcore run and ran a new game + going very fast to chapter 2, sold everything and bought the infinite launcher, just save the game in a slot you won't use later because for me the challenge reset its completion after I quit the game (still got the achievement, just the in game challenge reverted)
This game has QTEs too.
Since you and Dante decided to stop doing races what about if instead you do a competition of who dies the least amount of times on a randomizer?
The unpredictable nature of the randomizer would keep it interesting even if it isn’t a race and it would be more a more fair competition since it doesn’t require Speed Running specific skills, which Dante lacks.
This has inspired me to go for a second RE4 platinum… PS4 version
Got mine a week ago, it honestly doesn't run bad on PS4 at all, I'm upgrading this year though, waited long enough now.

not sure if it was mentioned in the video but you can safe scum the weapon achievement, basically sell all your stuff buy weapons reload and repeat but not sure if it would safe any time

I started this plat the other day coincidentally. Professional S+ broke me on PC and that's totally a skill issue on my part 😅🤣 I got super salty when they added the Handcanon on Mercs. I worked hard for the shit 😅 so hopefully my plat won't be as stressful for me
I did my pistol/knife only and frugalist also on assisted and like a smooth brained ungraceful baboon i am. I used the primal knife and the Black Tail as my weapons and took the maximum amount of damage I could take in the village. I thought the Matilda wouldn’t be good enough and it was brutal. Saddlar took me forever.

You can save some time by getting the 3 enemies with 1 flashback by throwing a flash at the large group of crows in El Gigante's arena when you first get there.

Ive already done over a dozen playthroughs of the remake. Such a brilliant game. Hell, my last playthrough was the no heal and the one before that was both pistol/knife only and no merchant together. That was a bitch. Regretted it around the double Garrador room lol

I mean they’re definitely the prime example of how to do a remake really well.
They’re slaying it, man. RE4 is one of my favorite games and they somehow only improved the original formula in basically every regard.

Why didn't you do the first run second on ng+ with a fully upgraded Red9 from the previous run?

Also just for fun, 1 USD is about 150 Peseta, and the Infinite Launcher would cost around $13000.

PC players down-patch their games. Patches don't affect them- only console players.
They are all valid, even before the patch we had any% and glitchless, nothing's really changed since people will just downpatch.

I did hardcore S plus and I didn’t get the Standard S plus achievement u have to do them separately at least for me on Xbox series X

From the first run to the end of my plat run it took me 84h to 100% re4 remake
So this was done in 2 runs right? 1 on assisted and one on new game pro to get all the S+ achievements? I don't really know how that can be done since I don't think the S+ achievements stack since I have the one for hardcore but not the standard one, unless my achievements are just bugged
You have to also meet the requirements for s+ on the easier difficulties while on pro

Regarding patches that affect speedruns, as a non-speedrunner myself I don't like games that are too broken, like Halo infinite or the likes. Basically if a game used to be a survival shooter but in the speedrun it becomes a 2D platformer, that speedrun, from a viewers standpoint, is boring to me. So I like patches that fix stuff that allows the game to be completely changed in its nature. I just prefer when runs incorporate a little of the game into the run,

I don’t consider newer speed runs valid unless they’re on the current patch of game. That goes for all games.

Glitch speedruns are a chore to watch as well. I want to see the fastest times playing as intended. Not this skip a whole section without actually having to maneuver around enemies or fight bosses
