  • In this video Skismo and I sail in company with #CodySailingClub and #WeirQuaySailingClub on the Tamar River which borders Devon and Cornwall in the South West of England. This was my first time sailing these waters and there's so much more to yet explore. I will just have to go back again!
    Music by me :)

Hi, that was a storm 17 and it performed extremely well in those light winds.

You are also correct about the viaduct- it was built in 1908.
Thanks for watching, always appreciated 🤓

Thanks very much for sharing your sailing adventures in the South West. I much enjoyed the trip, your excellent guidance, and the beautiful scenery, which has me homesick for blighty! Fair winds from across the pond.

Nice to see Skismo's hull 'endampened' once again! Looking forward to more on-the-water episodes this season. Cheers!

Glad to see you back on the water. That was as you indicate a great sailing venue. I'm so jealous. Perfect for dinghy sailing. Can you say anything about the pinky ketch that was sailing with you. It looked like the main was gunter rigged. It appeared to move quite well also. Skismo is looking good.🐬 I imagine that the via duct was not from Roman times. Still a lot of history along the Tamar.

Your seamanship skills and wind awareness are top notch The videos are a joy to watch and a lot if thought has gone into the edit of the clips which keep the viewer engaged.I am a Wayfarer sailor but now becoming fond of the GP 14 and it's capabilities.
Personally I would get rid of some of the gear in the boat to enable more efficient boat performance and less faff finding, sorting which takes time.
Just my view, easy to say though. However watching you on the boat you seem to be be very organised.
    Waiting for the next vid.

Thank you , very kind words :) - I am always envious of the space in a wayferer but they are just too heavy on land for little ol' me. I am perfectly suited to the GP14. Thanks for watching and for the like and sub, it all helps :) Fair winds!

I really enjoyed that. I am moving to Plymouth in August, partly for the dinghy cruising locally and within an hour.

Thanks, well that sounds like a great plan! I'm 60 miles from the nearest (decent) coastline.
