I just want you to know that the info you've given me has drove my squat up 100 lbs in less than 7 months and my deadlift has gone up 70 lbs. You're a genius and mastermind. You'll know my name soon enough Dave! Thank you for the info and tips
He is explaining fairly advanced concepts that tie to his personal experience. That meeting of theoretical and personal is what makes his explanations so long, but also so useful and insightful.
this is a very well organized explanation of a very complex methodology. The thing is you are just thinking about recreational lifting, and he is talking about training. You dont get to the level that Dave, his friends, and his athletes have gotten to in any sport with out using your brain a bit
Yes Louie does cover it, but you are far more organized and straight forward when you explain Dave. Thank you.
Getting more and more insight from Dave. This is priceless information.
I could listen to this man for hours!!

It's so funny hearing most accomplished lifters are frugal with adding weight while beginners only think about adding weight
wtf 105?
yes so if you're doing a deficit deadlift and your PR is 400, then the aim is to get somewhere within 400 and 420 that day, 420 being 105% of 400
why does he make lifting so confusing? he rambles on for hours.
You sound like you need more research on the conjugate method. He answers this very well.
Which part was confusing? Was it the part where he used words to explain things?

Sounds very well organized to me. I guess it won't make sense or sound like rambling if you don't know what the max effort method is.
