    Fun game: take a shot every time he says "ladies and gentlemen" 🤣🤣 nah good video man. Just changed the oil in my compressor that's the exact same as yours. I put Amsoil full synthetic signature series 5w30 in it. I don't use it enough for that to become a major problem. It is an awesome little compressor. I've been watching videos on how to modify the factory pipes and hoses to where I can use pro grade air tools. Can't wait!

    My HF compressor like this is leaking oil between the motor and compressor body.
    Is that hard to fix?

      Thanks every one for advice and everything. I finally was able to talk to a solid tool guy at the recommendation of an employ of Harbour freight. Names Bryant and he said same as most of the replies that it sounds to be a valve problem maybe just a seal maybe the valve itself and told me to check the flow valve for sure that is attached to the tank and has a tube to another safety release valve that sits just behind the motor and pump. Brass valves making sure there isn't a clog. He also informed me that sometimes they put a sorta cloth like filter on some of valves and they stop up pretty fast. So I checked all the valves I could see, found a little dirty sludge build in some and cleaned that. Did not find a filter of any kind. Did find alot of loose nuts, not real loose but loose, some dusty build up in the motor housing (not sure it is called that). So cleaned all dirt and grime build up ( which really was not very much) and tightened all the nuts, drained and put in fresh SAE 30 compressor oil to exactly as told in manual. Guess What !! It's working much better. I think it still is cutting on to charge a little too soon but not like it was. So I learned, just blowing it out after the days use doesn't necessarily clean it enough, check for loose anything's weekly or better if used more than I use mine, and do the maintenance prescribed in the manual. I do like this machine and for the money it rates up there with our older craftsmen ( I think was what it was). Thanks everyone

      @sharonfilson6323 3 роки тому

      If the motor housing is cracked, are the symptoms similar too old oil etc. Thats one thing I did not check. Don't knock w if I am mechanically capable of that kind of stuff. I'll have my brother walk me through that. Cause I wondered when I felt it was still coming in too soon if there could be a bad seal or cracked anything causing it.

    Can anyone tell me if this central pneumatic 2 hp, 125 psi compressors fill cap should be blowing air out it's tiny little holes at the top? My machine is recharging what I believe to be too soon compared to just a few weeks ago. I am changing oil now, the air filter is like new, not bad at all. I tightened all the loose nuts and there were a few as the manual said could be wrong. I am about to turn it back on and see if it was the oil, though it really didn't look bad. Anyway if anyone can tell me of anything else need to check would appreciate good advice.

      John Davolta well... when you compare the components in this compressor to others found in other big box stores you’d be surprised to know that many of the same components are in them as well. Look at it this way. It’s a cheap compressor. If you’re using it for heavy duty applications then buy a better one elsewhere. For all the light duty work in my garage it works just fine. Thanks for watching!

    • @johndavolta3124
      @johndavolta3124 4 роки тому +2

      @@GarageGear thanks for the reply. I will be using it for even lighter things than you do, so probably I should go ahead and pull the trigger.
      Do you think this compressor can take the lug nut off a car? That would be the main reason I am looking to buy this over a panckake one. I like to change my own brakes and do my own tire rotation, which are only once a year.

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  4 роки тому +1

      John Davolta I would like to think it can but I’ve never tried removing lug nuts with it before. If anything it would just be running a little more during the job to build pressure due to the smaller tank. I usually use my impact driver for lug nuts. And if you’re only using it once and a while for that you’d probably be fine. Check the specifications and uses on the box/online. It should say.
