  • A parking enforcement officer fails to identify himself upon request. This is the same officer from the live earlier this week. I will be filing a complaint again.

Officer just avoided conversation with person who followed him with cell phone and trying to escalate. Good Job Officer!

Let's be real here he is not an actual sworn in officer so he doesn't have to identify himself. And doesn't follow same policy as law enforcement that need to identify themselves if their policy states it.

That's factually incorrect. It is in SD parking enforecement officer policy to self identify when asked.
Unless you have a link to prove me wrong?

But yet we as citizens when going places or doing things that clearly go against policies we start claiming that it's a policy not a law or is not a federal offense. Look I'm not defending the guy doing his job. But we always want to get others bad side and we always want everyone to follow rules but sadly we don't always follow rules and policies n why cause people stated it's a policy n a law. I don't live in San diego so there policies are unknown to me. But if you have the link where it states that parking enforcement has to identify I would love to read it. Nothing like being more knowledgeable

@@cris.han0311 You should look up laws and policies in one area before making claims.
Here is the SDPD handbook, you are looking for policy number 9.19

While I admit that I cannot find a link that says PE are sworn officers, I know that they are in SD because I've personally filed several complaints on them. The complaint gets put into the SDPD system and a Sgt. or Lt. from the relevant division reaches out to me for details, video, witnesses, etc.

Also I get what you're saying about following laws and policies. However doing that as a private citizen is different than doing it at work because we both know depending what career field you are in, a single minor discrepency can get you fired. The difference is that you and I are paying public servants and they should be acting as such.

@@DisRuptMedia i know for a fact that they are not sworn officers. They have no power to arrest like an actual LEO. They are like a nurse at a hospital they have duty to help heal but not able to do what doctors do. If that makes sense. Cause I know here in my area PE don't follow Law enforcement policies due to being a entirely whole career or job .
