    Yoshi claims the pipe is designed to make the most horsepower with the insert in, the only reason its removable is to replace it with a spark arrestor style if that is needed. Just got my 25 450rwe and was looking into removing it but not sure its worth it.

      I was hearing more chain and roller noise than bike before. I wasn't sure if I would honestly like it after I took it out and first started the bike up. I thought it was going to be too loud. But after a couple rides it cleaned itself out. It runs great and isn't as loud as I initially thought. Well for the rider anyways. Not sure about the people behind me haha. It quickly grew on me. I love the way it sounds and runs now. I could definitely understand no volume restrictor not being for everybody though. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      If you watch videos from Yoshimura, the “silencer” or “noise reducer,” is designed to stay in the exhaust for the most effective and efficient way to make hp or torque gains. It’s also in there to add a spark arrester for off road use. Also, If you pay attention to the factory Honda bike’s, the Yosh exhaust the run, (yes I know it’s not one you can buy) but they have a smaller diameter hole like you would see with the silencer in there as it comes to your house. But I will also say that the design of using a allen head bolt to take the silencer out is a terrible design. I had to tap the threads bc it rattled its self loose, stripped the little tack welds, and came out in the track. I now screw the bolt in from inside the exhaust. Little bit of a pain but, oh well. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve also had to re-weld the collar where you screw the bolt in to put in the silencer. Yoshimura could’ve done a better design in my opinion. Just my two monetary donations

    I ride mostly motocross and trails I loved the sound of my fmf I had but got tired really quick of buying new side panels from it burning my plastic. Since u kept it out have u had any problem out of the motor with it running leaner. I know u experienced the glowing red pipe and hotter did your yoshi ever burn your side panels

    • @mototv5433
      @mototv5433  Рік тому

      I have not had to replace any plastics. It is definitely a leaner map than what it was originally. I don't have a way to plug into it to see exactly how lean or hot it gets. But I have not had any problems with it burning anything.

    Easily the best platform this year, besides the beloved 2021 TM Racing MX450Fi - Twin Pipe that I have only seen on the order form (guessing it's based off of their World Supermoto Champion "flagship" 450 model)!!!
    Was really wanting to buy the Honda, but it was the 2021 450RX, and it sold two days after arrival at the dealership, and every 450R was sold as well in the area - Somehow I ended up with a new TM Racing EN300ES 2 stroke...still looking at this bad-to-the-bone Honda you've obtained, after I finish paying this TM off!!! 💪🤘👍✌🏆🍻
    You have a beautiful build, brother! Makes me so envious looking at that red perfection - that Honda big bore fuel-injected 4 stroke torque and power delivery is unparalleled - I have no clue how they ranked the Honda last, next to the Suzuki (even though I love the RMZ-450 platform), because this bike is more technologically advanced than all the brands who produce the 450cc offroad motorcycles. Best of luck if you race, be safe, and go rip and plow that beast through the earth, broseph!

      I honestly couldn't tell you how this bike lost the shootout. It handles like a dream. So much power. So slim. Still maintains high speed stability on top of its amazing cornering ability. The only thing I can compare it to is one of the new KTM 450s. It's an absolutely phenomenal bike. The Yoshi definitely wakes it up over the stock exhaust. I can't wait for our tracks to open back up!

    • @jonathondavis170
      @jonathondavis170 4 роки тому +1

      Yeah, I totally believe everything you're saying about this machine! I actually rank KTM behind all Japanese manufacturers besides Suzuki right now...AND honestly, I'd take the 2021 Suzuki RMZ450 over the KTM because with the money saved you could send the bike to Pro Circuit and Ride Engineering to make the RM a certified factory ripper - that could outperform any other stock 450cc platform. Additionally, the 2021 Zook may be the same design as 2019+, but it does come with an Athena GET / Suzuki Factory ECU now, that connects to Android and Apple products!!! Not bad? Right? Too many people sleeping on the brands that aren't Austrian right now - all of the manufacturers are stepping their game up. As a ex heavyweight kickboxer, my 275lbs frame fits better with aluminum/stiffer chassis...probably something that isn't spoke about because most riders are around 160-180#. Big guys certainly have an advantage with the stiffer chassis that come equipped on these rigid aluminum frames...it gets us to a happy place where things don't feel so unstable! -Love that there are bikes for all shapes, sizes, and abilities...great time to ride, as long as you make decent money for bikes, maintenance, and proper safety equipment. I'm gonna subscribe so I better see some holeshots and podiums later!!! Haha jk bro Looks like you are having the time of your life! Go get it! And keep fighting off these big bore 4 stroke haters - people are so angry that these new 450s are more rideable, with quality power and traction due to advanced technology in the engine, ecu, chassis/frame, wheels, and suspension! The AMA and world changed to 4 stroke racing because of climate control/pollution etc., so the 4 strokes have become the most engineered offroad motorcycle within the last decade...if you have two riders with the same riding capability - one on an 91 500cc 2 stroke fully modded, and the other is a 2019+ 450cc 4 stroke that is fully modded, we shall see 9 times put of ten the 4 stroke guy would win due to a longer powerband, less fatigue, and better traction on most tracks. The bikes these days have a quality to the power provided that maximizes work done by the machine, so that the work for the rider is substantially less on a 4t bike, than the big bore 2 stroke bikes of yester-year. I read some of the comments on your other videos, and it just erked me to hear people think they know more about engineering and applied physics and mechanics than the designers and manufacturers of these beautiful new race bikes. I love a 2 stroke - very fun - own a 2019 TM Racing EN300ES and 2020 Husqvarna TE150i (selling brand new for 8k with title in Seattle, WA if anyone wants a brand new 5hr bike lol) anyways, both are two strokes...have not owned a 4 stroke since my 2016 Yamaha YZ250FX that I absolutely adored! 4 strokes have many technological advantages in racing, and they can and will rip the earth like an earthquake with readings above anything on the Richter scale! They are bad ass machines too, and the power is different, but amazingly fun as well - especially balls-to-the-wall racing! Coming from a two stroke owner and lover, the 450s of 2021 are nothing to play around with. Don't buy one thinking they are nothing because you ripped around on your dad's 88 CR500 when you were a kid. These bikes are just as fast, but in a different way, and then before someone even knows it they've crept up to 80mph through trees and end up off work for 5 months. True story! Seen it many times with friends, co-workers, and colleagues. Don't underestimate a 450! They are the new kings of moto!

    • @mototv5433
      @mototv5433  4 роки тому +1

      Technology has come so far! This new 450 really has the chassis feel of a bicycle and weight distributed so well that it almost rides like a bicycle. It really feels like a 2 stroke and 4 stroke had a baby. 4 strokes used to have a lot of bottom end and then basically fall off with hardly any top end. This bike pulls from bottom to top like a rocket. I believe it is supposed to be putting out around 40ft/lbs and 61hp. That's quite a bit of power for a dirt bike. And it's a linear controllable power. Not such a narrow power band. Like I said it pulls throughout RPM range, not a certain window. I would recommend this bike to anyone. I feel that the shootouts and reviews on it are highly underrated. Almost like someone was paying them to try and make it less appealing. This bike was immediately comfortable to ride. It didn't take weeks to figure out suspension. (Pretty solid by about the 3rd ride actually.) And they come with great features and looks. You have map/tc/ launch control. You get a very strong hydraulic clutch. Some trick wheels added for appeal. A very nice seat for a factory production. Amazing pegs for being a factory production. So much more on top of that but the biggest thing being the reliability and rider geometry of a Honda. The only complaint I have is it's pretty hard to find parts for it haha. Nothing has really come out for it yet. I was finally able to get my hands on an extra air filter this last week. As for the bike itself I had to drive to another state just to get it. They sold out so fast all over the Midwest that I couldn't even find one. None of the dealers could even say if or when they would get more in. This was the last one at the dealership. I called and paid over the phone just to be sure it would still be there when I drove out. I truly can't say enough good things about this bike.

      What about the fmf 4.1? Can’t decide what exhaust to get for my 21

    • @mototv5433
      @mototv5433  3 роки тому

      @@MrJmoo123 I honestly couldn't tell you. Yoshi was the only exhaust available when these bikes became available. I'm sure the FMF setup would be great too. The only changes between brands are usually power delivery and price. Most are just slight differences in profile and thicknesses to change power delivery. In the past FMF always focused on more of the low and mid range power delivery. I have not researched into their new stuff but I would imagine it would be the same today. I run FMF on my 2 strokes for that reason. Since this video I have had my ecu flashed by Honda to their new maps. It seems to have leaned it out a lot and cleaned up the bottom end some. The header pipe gets extremely hot now though. The first 3 or 4 inches coming out of the head will start glowing if not moving to allow the air to help cool it. If you do get the FMF let us know what you think and how it feels.

      I've honestly not ran it much at all with the baffle in. It was extremely quiet, I think quieter than stock exhaust. I do remember it being a touch more responsive on low end out of corners. But desert is mostly my thing and I was trying to kill bottom end as much as I could. So much so that I put 15t front sprocket and 48t rear. It helped a lot with the bottom end pull and over working you in tight and technical sections. Feels much more like a two stroke now. Smooth when you want it to be but still very strong mid and top end. It all really depends on what style of riding you do and what you're looking for. Almost any bike can be built or modified to fit your needs.

    hello, please what tool did you use to remove the nut that stops the inner screw? I tried with small pliers, 5,6,7mm T-wrenches but it doesn't come off. it is positioned non-linearly and it is impossible to unscrew the nut.
    The allen key turns idle with the nut.

      My model was the first year of the new bike. It was great until I took it back in for the map update. After that it was definitely lean and running hotter. Low end was a little cleaner but I definitely noticed hotter temps and glowing header pipe.

    • @wjones2341
      @wjones2341 Рік тому +1

      @@NickW90don’t get me wrong it sounded awesome very loud especially without the insert. But there was a production flaw with the fmf when your boot presses on the very tip of the side panel it was pushing it touching the midpipr but was completely melting the side panel. With the yoshi installed I have not had the problem once and the bike runs smoother and better way better than with the fmf. I think with the stock header it’s so wide with the fmf it there way to much airflow. The yoshi in the way to go hands down and even with the baffle out of it it runs smooth u can hear how much smoother the bike run and the yoshi has a deeper growl than the fmf. You will not go wrong with the yoshi I’ve had both and the fmf is not for the Honda

    • @wjones2341
      @wjones2341 Рік тому

      @@NickW90I was about to trade my Honda and took the yoshi back off where I was selling and put the fmf back on. And when I went from the yoshi to the fmf u could hear how the bike didn’t like it. It almost sounded like a miss vs the yoshi. With the yoshi when they designed it they made that midpipe more at an inside angle to where the sidepanel won’t touch it. With the fmf it’s very close the midpipe is way to close. And with the added airflow causing it to run lean it’s just gets so hot it really Will completely burn your side panels. Fmf was great customer service I actually shipped it back out and they welded a bracket on it to keep the side panel away and done it for free. Great customer service it just not for the Honda. When yoshi built the rs12 it was for the stock ecu and everything. I got the stainless full and u can tell a huge difference as soon as u fire it up. Smooth is the only word I can describe to it the best but also more powerful. Even with the insert out it still runs very smooth. Hope this helps

      I got mine out of Texas and paid about $10,800 out the door. Meaning after taxes, fees, registration, etc. If you are asking what payments would be like that's all dependant on your credit, who you finance through and if you put money down or not. That could range from anywhere between like $160 a month with a few thousand down and good credit to probably a little under $300 a month if you have bad credit/ no money down and get a really high interest rate.
