I remember seeing her on a documentary where she talked about how she made the 1st one. She said it was used with milk that had cornflakes soaked in it so not sure how it got to ordering a specific corn powder on Amazon. Regardless I love your accurate depiction of what most of us experience in the kitchen. Great video.

You should try to make a shoo fly pie. A Pennsylvania Dutch dessert. Choose a recipe that says “wet bottom” not regular. The regular is good, but the wet bottom is better!
I think you might like it.

Every time I see a cooking video that has leftover egg whites, I can't help think "Meringues!". Especially the idea of trying to make something vaguely resembling the zucker flavoured meringue cookies I had in Dresden 4+ years ago. Note, zucker = sugar, so they were plain sugar flavour. I loved them.

I made it 2weeks ago and I noticed the measurings were too big, so i halved into 2 and than another dividing of the ingredients. I was pleased at the results but I looked at it as a cross of a portuguese dessert we have which is "queijadinhas" and a oatmeal cookie.

No appliance should hold enough of a electric charge to give you a shock, ever! Unless you open it up and touch something. As soon as you turn it off or unplug it there should be no charge left. You have a very dangerous appliance, take it back and get something safer. I worked as an technician installing systems and fixing machines, I am concerned for you and your household.

I appreciate it. 🙌🏾

So I’ve made it both with the corn powder and without. It’s still really really good without it, and if you haven’t tried the real thing, then you’d never know the difference.BUT if you have tried the real Milk Bar crack pie and want to make it as closely to that as possible, then the corn powder will get you there. I think it does add a lot to the taste. The problem is corn powder is a pain in the ass to find. If you can’t easily find it, don’t worry about it and make it without it...that’s my two cents

Try again buddy, the taste may be on point, but if youve ever had a pie from Christini herself. your crust is is way too dark, the interior filling is not the right consistency. Taste may be accurate, but mouthfeel won't be. Great homemade crack pie, but if you're going to replicate the gluttonous masterpiece that is the "Crack Pie" make it perfect.

Damn I’d be pissed if they didn’t clarify on the recipe that it makes 2 pies beforehand- thats a lot of sugar and butter!

That's on me... looking back at the recipe, it does say 2 pies.. But in my defense, you have to scroll down to see it

The original recipe is very clear. This guy is an idiot, I can't understand why anyone would watch him. He's like fake news. Misinformation.
