This has been one of my favorite songs for years, and The Wolf Among Us is one of my favorite games. So seeing it play in TWAU2 trailer made me geek out so much. I love The Protomen and Telltale, what an awesome and unexpected combination

A Megaman film adaption in the style of Streets of Fire was something I never realized just how much I wanted till I discovered this band.
At first I thought this was an unadvertised sequel to Streets of Fire and that "Tom" referred to Tom Cody, not Doctor Light.

This should clear things up if you still were wondering. Basically there’s a character named Guts in a manga called Berserk who got on a boat. Then the series went on hiatus and when it came back the pace slowed to a crawl, with basically a bunch of filler of Guts doing stuff on the boat. This period of time lasted close to a decade (our time, not in the comic). So when he finally got off the damn boat it was a pretty big deal, and the youtuber linked above made that video to commemorate the Ordeal of the Boat, using this fantastic song in it. So that’s why people are taking about all that stuff.

To me, the most amazing part of this song is how deep, emotional, and well-written the lyrics are. They really do tell a story, I can feel the emotion. Incredible.

Joe...the hero that was left in man. Alas he died fighting to wake people up. He wasn't afraid, because he knew that there were things worse than death. I think that's what makes him such a compelling character. I can only imagine what things plus be like if mega man or protoman knew about joe
I like to think when Protoman was first built, his AI was modeled after Joe's personality, and after his rebuild, he gained more of his own.
This is why I wish there was a protomen comic. I'd love to see these characters and they're stories expanded upon. Joe is definitely one of my faves. Right next to protoman.
I wish we could see some more official art of characters, personally. Like, the art included in the poster that came with the act 1 vinyl. It has a shot of Light building Protoman, the girl from the Hope Rides Alone music video, and Wily's army. Or say, more Protomen themed art from John DeLucca.

I love how well this band lives up to the game's mythology even while changing the plot and tone entirely. In the lyrics booklet that details the rock-opera like lyrics and stage details for what the actors would be doing in the script, it says that after Joe's fall in the aptly titled "The Fall", that Light picks up his helmet and gets to work on fixing the future. The helmet, I think it implies that the helmet is to be used for Protoman - who becomes the basis for Wily's Sniper "Joe". ; )

Ok I love this song, Berserk and Metal Gear Solid. Yet somehow I've missed what seems to be an awesome combination of the lot
I got you on the Metal Gear Solid reference. There's a video named Metal Gear Solid 4 Was a Mistake in which this song was used for the climax where liquid ocelot does the thing. There are several timestamps in the comments, but it happens an hour and thirty nine minutes into the video and is fantastically executed.
I saw The Protomen at PAX prime, back when PAX was good and not just another commercial expo, and lemme tell you, they're amazing live. The day after the main show, they played in a small conference room in the convention center and did a bunch of covers, and it was even better in that small intimate space as opposed to the big theater.
I saw them once at PAX East, in Boston. A friend of mine had been trying to get me into The Protomen for years, and that was the first time I actually listened to them. They blew me away, and thankfully, I got a signed vinyl out of it. One of the proudest parts of my collection.
it still gives me goosebumps. whenever I hear this song, I think about how Brian and Law were dancing and Ted and DK were racing. VGHS, best web series ever.

This is one of my most favorite songs ever! This last weekend I introduced my boys to the 2 albums of Protomen. They loved EVERY song.
I've been searching for this song for years, and I remembered parts of the lyrics before falling asleep, finally found it!
This sounds like something a cyberpunk rockerboy would sing
This song actually traces its heritage to Nowhere Fast and Here Comes A Hurricane. Nowhere Fast was from Streets of Rage, a neo-noir rock opera, and the character who sung it I feel was the template for Rockerboys as CP2020 was released later in the decade.
Here Comes A Hurricane, the song from episode 1 of Bubblegum Crisis, a cyberpunk anime, was played during a scene meant to homage Streets of Rage and the Nowhere Fast concert scene. In this, the singer character is revealed later in the episode to be a Knights Saber, a paramilitary soldier who uses powered armor to fight rogue robots. That seems closer to the Rockerboy's speed
The Protomen's own short film, Light Up The Night, homages this scene as well with, you guessed it, Light Up The Night.
In short: Not only is this something a rockerboy WOULD sing, this is a direct homage to the FIRST rockerboy. Well, girl. You get the idea. The rockerboy from the CP2020 tabletop is basically just this but genderswapped, and then Light Up The Night was a male homage to the original.

There once was 1080p, a beautiful creation of man. It's pixel count blew not only the charts, but the faces of the observers. Then, one stormy night, a miracle happened. 1440p! Have you ever heard such a thing? You can now watch a stationary photo to awesome music in the highest definition known to mankind!
And then when you least expect it... It destroys the video!
1440p is not exactly the best quality known to mankind... The cinemas use 4K, some UA-cam videos have it available too.
I'm now blind from watching in 1440p... It was worth it.
And my computer crashed after Haha.
