Then telltale is back, they announce The Wolf Among Us 2, drop this banger of a trailer, now it’s delayed again. I don’t know how much more my heart can take, I can only replay The Wolf Among Us so many times…Oh who am I kidding, time for another playthrough.
And now it might be cancelled, Telltale laid off a lot of the developers, i hate this, they released The Expanse instead of this game and that thing flopped and now we might not get this game, we waited so long for it

First one was a breath of fresh air for many people after realising how much time they'd spent playing games that are so heavily focused on combat. Such a fantastic game and so worthy of a sequel. The ultimate game for people that love detective noir novels.

I went through some major life transitions while playing this game, and the profoundness of it combined with the turbulent life events surrounding me have embedded the first game deeply in my memory forever. I am beyond excited for the second game.
I'm guessing, and this is a shot in the dark here, it's going to be a point and click game where the game series adapt to the choices you make. The story is tailored by how you play. Just a wild guess tho

People always love memeing about the whole "choices matter" thing as if Telltale or any developer for that matter could pump out an interactive story on the scale of Detroit: Become Human in less than 5 years lmao. It's so easy to take 1 minute to type on the keyboard wishing for things that would add months and even years of more work on the dev's side. Besides, with something like TWAU that's written to be an actual prequel and not just another take on an already-established story or universe (e.g. Batman, The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands), there are very few things that can be done without contradicting the original story's characterizations and plots. Hell, the fact that Bigby's extremely nerfed enough to the point of having trouble with Gren, Bloody Mary, and anyone else who doesn't use anything silver is already contradicting to the comic Bigby. But who cares? They're writing a great story that people can experience through gameplay. I don't give a shit if everything is already pre-determined; literally every other single player game there is has pre-determined plot, why does it matter so much that Telltale's adaptations follow the same formula just because you're tasked to make a few choices that would affect some parts of the story differently?

For this game I'm hoping we see more detective style puzzle elements. One of my favorite parts of Wolf 1 was where you go through Toad's apartment inspecting the scene and catching him in lies. More moments like that where it feels like you're solving the case pls. Trailer looks sweet, btw.

Interesting! I thought the blue of the jacket could also be reminiscent of Snow White's color palette in the first game. It's not *quite* the same but maybe it clarifies that they've grown closer between the two games?
His werewolf form is cool as hell now, so much better than the first game’s. He looks more like what I imagine a real werewolf to be. Also Bigby in anger management is kinda a neat touch, trying to control his rage so he doesn’t go on killing fables like he might’ve in the first game. Did anyone else get a little frightened seeing Dorthy on the couch? The way she just sat there throughout the fight gave me Bloody Mary vibes, like the alley with the tweedles.

This was definitely worth the wait. The animations, the graphics, the art style, and atmosphere has improved drastically. I can’t wait to play this masterpiece because the first game definitely gave me wonderful memories.

Well, I mean... AdHoc Studios, the developer for this game specifically, is comprised of a lot of former developers from the OLD Telltale, and they worked on the first game. So... there's that.

I love Bigby's new 3/4s Wolf Form. It looks a lot less human face wise, but I think it conveys him accepting that more animalistic side of him as time goes on. In the first game he was hesitant of going past 2/4s. But now? He is comfortable being more menstruous if it gets the job done. At least that's my interpretation of the new design for that form. Super nice job!! Can't wait to play!
I see his forms as human, half-werewolf, werewolf and Wolf in the original game. Here, I'm wondering if they made werewolf look more like an actual werewolf, or whether these characters unleashed the Wolf. If these characters, who seem to be the Scarecrow and the Tinman from Wizard of Oz, unleashed the Wolf, then they must be pretty powerful. If that is the Scarecrow and the Tinman, is the woman on the couch Dorothy? And where is the Lion?
Why pre order. You don't buy a car before it is released. What if the final product isnt to your liking, you would gave wasted your money. Furthermore, you are likely buying it digitally so there is no shortage.

I still can’t wait to get the wolf Among us Season 2 I love playing games that were made by Telltale games themselves games like the walking dead season 1, The wolf among us season 1, Minecraft Story Mode and Guardians of the galaxy too but sadly won’t be able to get those two games, cause some of the games they lost the rights and license for it but I’m happy to see them back again.
@@protog2663 TWUA had a crap load of bugs, it was laggy and the last part wasn't even voice properly. That wasn't just for me that happend for many people. If they fixed that before they bought out the first TWUA then it would have gotten awards left right and centre. Hopefully they fix all the bugs before they bring the 2nd one out.

the RELIEF i felt coursing through my body when i heard that iconic voice performance adam harrington pulled for our boy bigby -- i am so EXCITED to hear him again . he sounds absolutely wonderful and i cant WAIT to hear him even more when the game comes out !
This looks awesome, liked the use of Light Up The Night by The Protomen. Bigby talking to the therapist and not being able to disclose certain things reminds me of The Sopranos. Wonder if that's a direct reference or not. I also think Telltale would do quite well with Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Fables reminds me a little of it and if they did a original storyline like they did with Wolf Among Us it'd be quite interesting.

The music track here was "Light up the Night" by The Protomen - which is a rock opera telling a story using Megaman characters. It is amazing. Definitely check them out with lyrics, as a lot of it is intended to have descriptors of what's going on in the scene. This specific track is about planning to blow up a tower being used to spread propaganda. Act 1 was basically made in a garage with low quality audio a loooong, long time ago. This track is from Act 2, and the genre of music changes as it goes from inventors trying to make a better world (a western kinda theme) to classic rock, then to a blend of like techno and metal in Act 1 as the city becomes influenced by corruption. Saw them live once at Kilby Court. They signed my poster and my girlfriend. Awesome dudes!
Super excited for this. Wolf Among Us 1 is by far the best Telltale game. A remaster would be so great to catch up. It's a bit disappointing that's it's an EGS Exclusive though. Please release it on Steam simultaneously for owners of the first and Steam Deck users.

When that synth music started it shot me all the way back to when I was playing the first game. I’m so grateful Telltale is still alive and kicking after that mess in 2018. Glad they’re still gonna deliver on this game.
from the looks of it, they seem to be using motion capture for the animation now (as opposed to the hand made animation from previous TT) - which is absolutely fantastic news. Quality is taking a huge step up, for sure
@David Hinkle the reason why bethesda engine sucks is because they didnt have an actual engine dev team to properly update it, that is until they announced starfield, they actually hired experienced engine devs to upgrade creation engine 2

The sequel has been announced like three times already lol, and the first version of that was scrapped when the studio went down initially. Now when we're finally this fucking close to it finally happening, it all starts happening again.

If you play it a second time you realize all the emphasis on choice and time urgency was bullshit. Snow white's character was annoying more than anything, and pretty much no matter what you do in the game leading up to the end it's only the final choices that decide which ending you get. Otherwise pretty good. Solid 6/10. Fun sometimes, less fun other times.

His werewolf form is cool as hell now, so much better than the first game’s. He looks more like what I imagine a real werewolf to be. Also Bigby in anger management is kinda a neat touch, trying to control his rage so he doesn’t go on killing fables like he might’ve in the first game.
Did anyone else get a little frightened seeing Dorthy on the couch? The way she just sat there throughout the fight gave me Bloody Mary vibes, like the alley with the tweedles.
He transformed into this in the first game, this has always been the full form. How are so many people not getting this? It’s not a new form, it means his anger is at its peak

This was definitely worth the wait. The animations, the graphics, the art style, and atmosphere has improved drastically. I can’t wait to play this masterpiece because the first game definitely gave me wonderful memories.

Yeah don’t call it a masterpiece before even playing it, I go into most things nowadays having low to no expectations and I enjoy things way more because of it. If you expect everything to be the second coming of Christ then get used to disappointment

Well, I mean... AdHoc Studios, the developer for this game specifically, is comprised of a lot of former developers from the OLD Telltale, and they worked on the first game. So... there's that.

I love Bigby's new 3/4s Wolf Form. It looks a lot less human face wise, but I think it conveys him accepting that more animalistic side of him as time goes on. In the first game he was hesitant of going past 2/4s. But now? He is comfortable being more menstruous if it gets the job done. At least that's my interpretation of the new design for that form. Super nice job!! Can't wait to play!
I see his forms as human, half-werewolf, werewolf and Wolf in the original game. Here, I'm wondering if they made werewolf look more like an actual werewolf, or whether these characters unleashed the Wolf.
If these characters, who seem to be the Scarecrow and the Tinman from Wizard of Oz, unleashed the Wolf, then they must be pretty powerful.
If that is the Scarecrow and the Tinman, is the woman on the couch Dorothy? And where is the Lion?

Telltale doesn't own the rights to Tales of Borderlands anymore, so unless they get the rights back, there unfortunately wont be a season 2 :(
Telltale 2k and Gearbox games together made that one so now Telltale has to deal with them again to make that one 👍🏻

I still can’t wait to get the wolf Among us Season 2 I love playing games that were made by Telltale games themselves games like the walking dead season 1, The wolf among us season 1, Minecraft Story Mode and Guardians of the galaxy too but sadly won’t be able to get those two games, cause some of the games they lost the rights and license for it but I’m happy to see them back again.

@@protog2663 TWUA had a crap load of bugs, it was laggy and the last part wasn't even voice properly. That wasn't just for me that happend for many people. If they fixed that before they bought out the first TWUA then it would have gotten awards left right and centre. Hopefully they fix all the bugs before they bring the 2nd one out.

the RELIEF i felt coursing through my body when i heard that iconic voice performance adam harrington pulled for our boy bigby -- i am so EXCITED to hear him again . he sounds absolutely wonderful and i cant WAIT to hear him even more when the game comes out !

This looks awesome, liked the use of Light Up The Night by The Protomen. Bigby talking to the therapist and not being able to disclose certain things reminds me of The Sopranos. Wonder if that's a direct reference or not.
I also think Telltale would do quite well with Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Fables reminds me a little of it and if they did a original storyline like they did with Wolf Among Us it'd be quite interesting.

The music track here was "Light up the Night" by The Protomen - which is a rock opera telling a story using Megaman characters. It is amazing. Definitely check them out with lyrics, as a lot of it is intended to have descriptors of what's going on in the scene. This specific track is about planning to blow up a tower being used to spread propaganda. Act 1 was basically made in a garage with low quality audio a loooong, long time ago. This track is from Act 2, and the genre of music changes as it goes from inventors trying to make a better world (a western kinda theme) to classic rock, then to a blend of like techno and metal in Act 1 as the city becomes influenced by corruption. Saw them live once at Kilby Court. They signed my poster and my girlfriend. Awesome dudes!

Super excited for this. Wolf Among Us 1 is by far the best Telltale game. A remaster would be so great to catch up. It's a bit disappointing that's it's an EGS Exclusive though. Please release it on Steam simultaneously for owners of the first and Steam Deck users.

When that synth music started it shot me all the way back to when I was playing the first game. I’m so grateful Telltale is still alive and kicking after that mess in 2018. Glad they’re still gonna deliver on this game.

from the looks of it, they seem to be using motion capture for the animation now (as opposed to the hand made animation from previous TT) - which is absolutely fantastic news. Quality is taking a huge step up, for sure

The first game was almost completely rewritten in the middle of production (ep1 was already out). The sequel has been announced like three times already lol, and the first version of that was scrapped when the studio went down initially. Now when we're finally this fucking close to it finally happening, it all starts happening again.

If you play it a second time you realize all the emphasis on choice and time urgency was bullshit. Snow white's character was annoying more than anything, and pretty much no matter what you do in the game leading up to the end it's only the final choices that decide which ending you get. Otherwise pretty good. Solid 6/10. Fun sometimes, less fun other times.
